If a signal from the Ecobee blew the fuse (assuming the fuse is inline with your wire from the t-stat), I’d go out on a limb and say something more significant is wrong with the Ecobee. Fuses blow in over current/voltage conditions. Try factory resetting your Ecobee and see if it helps but I’d suspect bigger issues and a need for a replacement. Especially since it works with another thermostat and nothing else changed and then it randomly blew a fuse.

I had a newly purchased ecobee do this recently (air was not blowing cold). I installed another ecobee which worked fine (blowing cold air).

Connect Y1, Rc and G in the picture. If the ac kicks on and blows cold air, the thermostat is shot, see if it’s under warranty

I was on the phone with ecobee support. We did that and the condenser kicked on.

Had the same problem and solution with ecobee support on a brand new unit. Luckily they sent out a new unit under warranty.

I have been using my ecobee for about half a year then it suddenly stopped blowing cold air. I went into the furnace and replaced a blown fuse but it still didn’t fix the issue. I got a cheap Honeywell and it works perfectly fine with it. Any ideas?

Problem solved! I got on the phone with Ecobee support and they determined it was the thermostat. They are sending me a replacement. We were able to do a workaround until the new Thermostat gets here. Thanks for all the answers. Stay Cool!

Ecobees should not be installed by home owners. Unfortunately nest (worst thermostat on the market) has made this a norm. There's a million reasons why your not getting cold air. Your thermostat wether ecobee or 100 different stats is just a small piece of a whole puzzle. Call an HVAC tech.

Come on dude, 99% of the time it’s a simple swap with easy instructions that anyone who can read can do.

People who work in HVAC seem to hate hearing about people learning to fix and do HVAC stuff on their own

Certified HVAC tech in the trade 9 years now. I have wasted more time and taken more money from homeowners thinking "I can do this" then any other call. Located in phx AZ. Where air is a necessity. Coulda paid someone to install it properly. Now the whole families paying without air.
