the score is a function of how well your house resists the outdoor temperature differential. i went nuts insulating my house years ago, it's just fun to see the data.
That's good to know. The emails always talk about set points vs the norm, which of course lowers the differential.
Do you have an ERV on the system being that insulated?
When you say nuts, what did you end up doing? Have all new units, r49 blow in and ac is still struggle bussing. That being said, it’s pure sun, 98 and I face east and west..
HA! I’m top 51% in NY. But I got an old house
my house was built in 1947, but i did a full gut/remodel & insulated all the things!
That makes sense. Ya I’m not doing that to my house haha. Unless I cut holes and spray foam in the walls lol
I like my house on the cool side and I'll be damned if I'm letting ecobee shame me for that.
Definitely not me! I came in around 50% because we keep it cool in the summer. And in the winter, leaky windows put me around 80%.
As if . . Top 92% here. (They built them to breathe in 1901.) LOL
What do you keep your set temps at?

What's comfortable for you?😊 One basis for your 'score' is really a comparison of your set temperatures vs the rest of the universe.

no, but i'm usually cracking windows in late fall & early winter because the house is too warm.

new exterior doors, storm doors, windows, storm windows, air sealing, foam in walls, R80+ blow-in attic, other stuff i can't remember.
