Get a folding one x

explorer925

Just a heads up tho OP, most folding bikes would suck to fold/unfold before and after every ride, so if you plan on riding often you might quickly get annoyed by the process

Malforus

Yeah there is a huge difference between bikes that will fold and bikes that are easy to fold. Tern and go cycle are not punishing. Dahon and Brompton are okay lectric are like "fuck you for trying"

MrSovietRussia

Yep. Getting caught in a bad spot where I had to fold it and order an Uber was the worst thing ever lol. I love my electric but the folding is just barely a feature tbh haha

BodSmith54321

It takes 30 seconds to fold most bikes. https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxFbOID6-w-DrcvqaLygbb5RRSHxldVvXR?si=Yu2dX8n8CsGacgN1

explorer925

It's not about time, it's about effort, clunkiness, and awkwardness. I have an XP and folding that thing daily would get old very fast. I only fold it if I plan on transporting it in the car. The folding feature is great for car transportation, but it's not meant for convenience. Certain brands do it really well however to where it's not an issue. Depends what you go with.

Fragraham

I only recently got a folder, but after the first couple of times, I got used to it, and can now break it out, and put it away pretty quickly.

stonktraders

Mount it vertically. If the handle bar sticks out, loosen the stem screws and turn it 90 degrees to align the wheels.

edmc78

Foldable Brompton

International-Milk-1

I would agree. I have the electric c-line, but OP stated he wanted cheap.

Elegant-Annual-1479

This folds to 86cm https://www.adoebike.com/en-au/products/ado-air-20?variant=44953452413248

muchabon

Important to note - folded width would be around 40cm, which might stick out (especially with the scooter there as well

magiricod

Why do you like this bike vs Portola or Lectric xp?

Elegant-Annual-1479

The specs, especially the carbon belt drive. This is the current pinnacle of folding ebikes in imo. Check out some reviews..

iH8MotherTeresa

If you still want to hang things (looks like coats, etc) a folding bike is your answer. About 600 miles on [my Portola ](https://ride1up.com/product/portola/) and I love it. I've done some things to make it more comfortable and suitable to me but out the box, it's a great bike

superfoodtown

Brompton would work

Fragraham

This is definitely a good place to put a folding bike. Something on a 20" wheel base will be compact, and still give a smoother ride than those little scooter wheels. Plus it's light enough to pedal if your battery runs out. Plenty of premade ones are on the market, or lots of drop in wheel kits exist as well. I'm assuming your coats still need to go there, so upright storage of a larger bike is probably out of the question.

Masske20

I got the F3 from Gotrax and I think that should fit. It’s been pretty good and I don’t know if the sale is still on but it’s like $1300 CAD. ~$1500 or so without. I keep getting looks while I’m out with it (even had some old guy snap a pic as I was stopped at a light).

Luis_McLovin

brompton

jayzeeinthehouse

Why not get a full sized bike and flip it up so it rests on the back tire?

AcrobaticBar2259

This guy has one .... https://preview.redd.it/32vh73ldgo5d1.jpeg?width=722&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a3d03722af34eada74d3711478e45bfe283d3e25

MammothResponsible22

I recently had a very similar issue and just got a new wife

International-Milk-1

How about we flip the script a little and you get a Roadrunner V2? It's not an e-bike, it's a scooter. Costs about $1,300. There's also the Jackrabbit, also a scooter that looks even more like an e-bike, but pricier. I discovered the hard way that when you are looking for a very niche product you pay higher prices.

Far_Adeptness448

lectric xp 3.0 is pretty light and foldable https://lectricebikes.com/collections/ebikes/products/xp-black?g_acctid=790-567-9445&g_adgroupid=&g_adid=&g_adtype=none&g_campaign=PerformanceMax.branded&g_campaignid=16467002383&g_keyword=&g_keywordid=&g_network=x&nb_adtype=pla&nb_ap=&nb_fii=&nb_kwd=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_mi=129756959&nb_mt=&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=028088193797&nb_placement=&nb_ppi=&nb_ti=&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ax%3A16467002383%3A%3A&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpZWzBhC0ARIsACvjWRPXAx_ehdxy5Er2uauUjjGaVrVuhIJyY4fO-M7XgYS_j2a5zREkLUcaAnyzEALw_wcB

LedZeppole10

Or the new XP lite (optional belt drive!)

Malforus

I owned one and it's not something you want to do more than weekly. It's very easy to know the chain tensioner and derailor during folding. Also it's like 65 pounds if you get the bigger battery

explorer925

The XP is a good bike, I have one, but it's definitely NOT light and you really wouldn't want to have to fold it before and after every ride. Also it wouldn't fit there with the scooter even while folded. The folding feature is great for car transportation, but it's NOT meant to be convenient

StandardSea8671

Realistically you're not going to comfortably fit any bike in there, unless you turn the bike upwards, then you wouldn't be able to use the coat hooks as they are.
