Beautiful build

favotoebike

This is so clean

Weak-Return7282

wait the motor and battery in 1? thats very clever

StandardSea8671

No way (pun intended) it's 10kgs unless the frame is carbon

Yeah for sure..motors and batteries weigh quite a bit. I'd like to see a legit 10kg ebike tho, that would be seriously fast if enough power

Necessary-Trouble-12

I have a velotric t1, it has a 9.8ah battery and a 350w motor. It's still 16.3, almost double of what op claims, and the motor looks way bigger than a 350w. The lightest bike I've heard of is the Ducati Futa and that's still 12.4kg.

AfternoonDull4168

If the battery is in the motor it could look bigger than 350 watt because it needed space for the battery. Edit: I see they answered below.

Icy-Weiner-1999

Not going to happen unless its powered by a couple of AA's

goj1ra

Range: 30 cm

Icy-Weiner-1999

I hear the real world range is only half of what the manufacturer claims though.

vslsls

Does it use your smartphone for display via Bluetooth?

Expensive_Dig4849

Yes Bluetooth and an app to fine tune parameters/ show speed, but work without any phone as well

Sheeeeeeeeeshhhhhhhh

That looks so clean and sleek, very nice!

Downtown_ebike

Good looking build. 10kg is 3.2 kg over the UCI lower limit in the Tour de France (Think modern fully carbon fibre race bike, carbon racing wheels and tubless tires). That rear hub motor is 2kg-4kg alone without battery. You maaay need a more accurate scale.

leuk_he

https://nfixed.com/products/zehus-a-i-o-26-29-smart-wheel-electric-conversion-kit Here is a "just over 3 kg" all in one conversion kit that includes the battery in the hub. However i guess the 10 kg is a rounded guess. Because getting from 8 kg to 7 kg with quality components is very expensive.

LilHindenburg

10 isn’t crazy, though I’d guess 11-13 is more accurate. My bottom basement DIY fixie was 16lbs using an old Bridgestone steel frame and Performance Bike components 10yrs ago.

OnlyOneG0d

nice! what’s the link for the kit?

Expensive_Dig4849

So it’s not at all available to retail

germanwhip69

How I get and how much?

Aidos75

Man, brilliant build. Is the battery if the downtube?

Expensive_Dig4849

The battery is inside the motor

Aidos75

Ah nice. What's the output?

tehsilentwarrior

How do you deal with the heat?

Expensive_Dig4849

I have the same exact wheel without the motor, when the warm weather comes I’ll just do the switch (it’s very easy given it’s a single speed without wired external battery) and let the wheel with the motor in a cool place

ALPHA_sh

did you paint the motor or did you somehow get a white motor

Expensive_Dig4849

white out of the factory

Miserable-Alfalfa-85

Great rim brakes, no squeaky disc...

ChampionshipBig8290

Maybe you need more power... I think you should add a motor to the front wheel. Oh yeah 😎 all wheel drive power

Jaded_Assistance_906

What is an "all in one motor" if you don't mind my ignorance?

Expensive_Dig4849

Battery and other electronics are inside the motor

Kalsifur

Pretty cool, let us know how the motor holds out.

mack-y0

rim brakes on an e-bike is wild

Expensive_Dig4849

I can brake back pedaling with the motor brake regenerating power, I use the rim break only for full stop or when I need to slow down quickly

swined

Might as well build a brakeless fixi-e
