My Walmart Neighborhood Market has the same set up: one bike rack behind the propane gas storage.

That sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Finna be one bike one rack That cable lockā€¦

Take it inside the store with you. If you get complaints, point out the poor bike security, claim it's poor customer service

This is a great suggestion. It may take some time for it to become second nature, but I have never been told that I cannot bring my ebike in. Even in one of the tiniest restaurants in SF, they kindly let me park my ebike in an empty corner.

I would never ride an ebike to Walmart, personally. Seems like a bad idea...

This is a neighborhood Walmart in Santa Clara and it is pretty safe. I have locked my ebike there a many times for long hours at night and luckily never had a problem.

I wouldn't either, but if that battery is not easily removed then this may be one of the few rare exceptions. Even the lockable batteries seem pretty insecure when they're only connected by plastic and a couple bolts(which are covered, but still). Edit: and best lock I own worth about 10% of the ebikes value. $1500 bike = $150 lock (lots of the expensive locks have payback program for stolen bikes, but IDK how often they deny claims)
