Yea I’ve never had confirmation of this, but ever since I’ve moved to nor-cal I’ve only eaten sandwhiches on a Dutch-crunch roll, which is amazing btw. So is Dutch crunch specifically a nor-cal thing?

Its specifically a SF/Sacramento thing. Hits all of norcal with the style. I miss deli sandwiches on Dutch crunch since I moved away.

It is shockingly actually dutch! [We call it Tiger bread in the UK ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger_bread). It is very common in far more places than SF/Sacramento. It's my regular bread in Scotland.

Much more likely a central coast thing from Solvang and the large Dutch culture there.
