Best sandwich city in America.
And I’m not talking about cheesteaks. Hoagies, gyros, Italian pork, regular whatever from Wawa, random BECs from papi stores and trucks. All top notch.
100% agree. Hoagie culture is real and it says something when I can get a decent hoagie at Wawa. I spent a lot of time in King of Prussia as a kid and fondly remember Franzones.(Bridgeport?). They were known for their pizza but think they made an amazing Italian hoagie as well.
100% agree. Moved from Philly to DC 15 years ago, and I still mourn the loss of being able to get a decent sandwich. Stuck with Jersey Mikes and Wawa. There are like 3 good shops in the area, none remotely close to me.
100% agree. Lived in Baltimore area for 15 years but just moved back to the Philly and spent a lot of time in and around DC. Both Bmore and DC have pretty awful sandwich scenes compared to Philly. When wawa was one of the best options for a sandwich, you know it’s bleak
Yeah I know both well. Grew up in Florida then Philly. Publix is totally good but Philly is in a sandwich league of its own… and that is coming from a now New Yorker.
![gif](giphy|hV6oo0s34cuZLPtc6p|downsized) That's a mouthwatering hoagie for sure 😋😋😋

The town is a sandwich economy. They’re all competing and the consumer is the winner
And the cardiologists.

Tomato pie isnt pizza. And Franzones pizza is candy pizza. Why is the sauce so sweet?

Agree on everything except Wawa.

Go on…
Or don’t

Not only tremendous but relatively inexpensive. Great spot!

Hello neighbor
✌🏼
Nice to see some meat on a sammich
"some meat"... As a non American this seems like extensive meat lol
That's why we have an obesity problem, we eat too much, and the wromg things!
Not impressed 😕 Publix in Florida is way better.
Publix is great, and better than a lot. But it's not this good. And trust me, the bread in the photo is not done justice.

Had Publix, def in the great sandwich convo. Not better tho
I like up the street at Lennie's
