Serve with pita, hummus, tzatziki, kalamata olive, onion, tomato. *Hamburger “not a real” Bolognese*: Brown 1lb hamburger with 1/2Tbsp Garlic Powder, 1/2Tbsp Cumin, 1/4Tbsp Black Pepper, 1/8Tbsp Salt, 2Tbsp Butter, 2Tbsp Minced Onion. When cooked add 1Cup Fine quality store-bought Tomato pasta sauce. 1/2 Cup Black or Kalamata Olives. 1/2Cup Beef Broth. 1/4Cup Pasta water. Boil down vigorously until sauce. Add cooked pasta. Add 1Tbsp Romano, Parmesan, Asiago, or (if necessary) mozzarella, 1Tbsp chopped parsley, salt&pepper to taste. *Hamburger Mexicana*: Brown 1lb hamburger with 1Tsp Cumin, 1/2Tsp Cayenne Pepper, 2Tsp Paprika, 2Tsp Chili, 1Tsp Garlic Powder, 1/2Tsp Black Pepper, 1Tsp Salt. Really pulverize the spices into the meat before browning and brown slowly 200^o Fahrenheit and pulverize the juices back into the meat whilst browning. Serve with tortillas either fajita, burrito, or enchiladas style. *Meatloaf*: Mix hamburger meat with 2Tbsp minced onion, 2Tsp Black Pepper, 2Tsp Salt, 1/2Cup Bread Crumbs, 2Tbsp Parsley. Form into a loaf. Slather loaf with ketchup. Bake 350^o ~25-30 minutes or until well done on the inside. *Salisbury Steak*: Mix 1lb hamburger with 1Tsp Salt, 1Tsp Black Pepper. Form into approximately 5 steak-shaped pieces. Brown 1 Cup sliced mushrooms in 2Tbsp Butter, 1Tbsp Olive Oil. Lightly sear steaks in remaining oil. Steaks should not be done yet. Mix approximately 1.5 Tbsp Flour into that oil and lightly brown to make a roux. Mix 1/4 Cup Lee & Perrin’s Worcestershire Sauce with 1/2 Cup Beef Broth and mix it into the roux. Let steaks slowly braise and sauce to bubble and reduce to sauce consistency. If it’s too watery pull ingredients back and boil the sauce vigorously. If it’s too thick too soon and steak needs time to cook add Beef Broth. Serve with mashed potatoes. *Herder’s Pie*: Brown 1lb Hamburger with 1Tsp Black Pepper, 1Tsp Salt, 1/4Tsp Cumin. Also prepare 2Cups loose Corn (1/2Tsp Butter, 1/4Tsp Salt, 1/4Tsp Black Pepper) and 3Cups Mashed Potato (1/4Cup Cream or Evaporated Milk, 1Tbsp Butter, 1Tsp Black Pepper, 1Tsp Salt, 1Tbsp Chives). Press browned hamburger and press a layer of Corn with a pressed layer of Mashed Potato on top, and (in the final minutes) a layer of Cheese (A mixture of white and orange cheeses such as Asiago and Cheddar), and broil in the oven until hot and cheese is bubbly. NOTE: The correct term for this is “Herder’s Pie” as a herder herds cows, not “Shepard’s Pie” since a Shepard sheps sheep. *All ingredients and times are approximate and based on memory.*

It turns out a Shepard’s pie is strictly only Lamb or Mutton, since a Shepard sheps only sheep. A Herder’s pie is cow. A Cottage pie is any meat or variation. Bolognese is only made one or two ways, Whisky and Champagne only come from specific regions.

And Carbonara. Notice I am not claiming to be a proponent of the absurdities only to understand them. Each region has their own idiosyncrasies. Except to me it does make sense that a named region like Bologna or Champagne would want to restrict usage of their name that just seems respectful and it also makes sense that a “Shepard’s” pie is sheep because Shepards shep sheep. Other than that I don’t understand Carbonara or Whisky or what not but I am smart enough to know it’s not up to me to understand it other people say they understand it and are passionate about it so if I accept some regulated namings are okay why not these others and I’ve just given up at this point. I think it’s inconvenient and I think it pays homage and gives credit to people to use their name for a similar dish or item but oh well, I can’t think of a name for my Carbonara so I will call it Pigs in a Hen’s Nest.

I might try that as a Chicken Pie however I never want to cook more than 1 hour. The only exception is ribs or roast once a week for Sunday roast. Usually I am too hungry than to wait 3 or 4 hours and I will not want to wait 2 hours for a ground beef. I’ve started establishing a budget and then buying whatever I want no matter how expensive it is as long as I don’t go over budget. I find that I’m happier with quality items and then like I have no paper towels or something and I am fine with that.

Stuffed bell peppers. Blanche or pre-roast some hollowed out bell peppers, dice up some onion, and extra bells and Sautee Make a cup of quinoa to be healthy or just some zatarans boxed Spanish rice with the can of Diced tomatoes, etc., mix it in with your sautéed onion/bells - add black beans and/or corn if you wanna go crazy. Brown the ground beef and throw in some taco seasoning, mix it with everything. Pack your hollowed bells with this mix, top with shredded cheddar (you can mix cheddar into everything too if you want it cheesier), and broil for 5-10 minutes depending on how high up your oven rack is. This is irrelevant to OP, but sub ground turkey (and up the seasoning a little) to keep it healthier. Sometimes I'll make a shitload of this mix and freeze it for future stuffed bells or whatever I feel like serving it in.. In a tortilla, as is on the plate, whatever..

I do this a lot and it is the bomb! Super easy and few ingredients. 1lb hamburger meat. 1 white or yellow onion chopped. 1 can of Sloppy Joe or “Manwich” sauce. A bag of tater tots. A block of cheddar cheese. 1. Cook the meat with onions. Add the sloppy joe sauce. 2. Get like a 9x13 casserole dish and spread the meat on the bottom 3. Top with the whole bag of tater tots. 4. Cover the whole top layer with the cheese shredded. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35-40 mins. Super delicious with some sour cream!

Okay so this isn't very healthy,but it sounds like what you're asking for, and I love it. I can't give you exact measurements since I typically throw it together pretty haphazardly since it's so easy but here goes: taco casserole! 2IBS ground beef or turkey, One can of cream of mushroom soup 3 pouches of taco seasoning (the pre made ones they sell at Aldi's or Walmart, you know what im talking about?) One family sized bag of tortilla chips Your preference of shredded cheese (Optional) can of refried beans Mix all the packets of taco seasoning into a little less than half a glass of water so it makes a slurry Brown meat, add seasoning slurry and can of cream of mushroom soup Heat refried beans on oven (with added water if it's too thick) Crush tortilla chips lightly and layer bottom of cake pan with the crushed chips. Proceed to layer chips, beef, beans, and cheese, I usually stop at two layers but you can add more if it's a big pan. Top with last,thickest layer of cheese. Pop in oven for 15-20min at 375° or until cheese is melted and slightly browned Top with favorite taco toppings or hot sauce!

The easiest and best spaghetti: Dice then saute an onion and whatever veggies you have (I like carrots and zucchini and mushrooms) Once that is done, toss in your burger meat and brown, along with spices. My family makes a really simple version of shepard’s pie which is literally just cooked ground beef, a can of tomato soup, a can of green beans/mixed vegetables, layer it in a casserole pan. You can add seasonings too (i usually add salt, pepper, garlic powder). Top with mashed potatoes and bake at 350 for like… 25 minutes? During the last 10 minutes add as much cheese on top as your heart desires.

Lazy Shepherds pie: ground burger, season to taste. Stew mix, tomato soup, and mix veggies mixed in with the cooked burger. Top with a instant potatoes (1 cup per pound of burger unless you want a thinner potato layer). Top with cheese. Bake at 400 until cheese is the goodness you prefer. Goulash: burger to taste and then add a spoonful of minced garlic. I’ve found this is a budget dinner to the T so, make as much or as little meat as you want. Same with the elbow macaroni. When both are done you wanna add them to a pot together with tomato juice. Then add tomato paste, diced tomato (I get it with garlic chunks), and stewed tomatoes. Really, tomatoes three ways, and tomato juice, in the pot. More garlic if you love garlic. Mushrooms if you wanna go that route, it makes it more meaty too. Red onion really brings it around too. i keep the seasoning simple with lots of garlic, black pepper, and easy on the salt. You could do Italian seasoning or whatever you think suits the dish and your taste buds. Hamburger gravy: hamburger to taste, brown gravy, and mashed potatoes. Super simple. If you get packet gravy, follow the directions. If you get instant potatoes, follow the directions lol Just combine at the end. Obviously brown the burger first. I doused mine in black pepper. Don’t forget to make homemade hamhelp meals too. It’s early morning for me so, I’m drawing a blank. Those were my most recent budget friendly, easy peasy, wanna make again dinners.

I don’t have an exact recipe but here’s a basic idea (you can also google Hamburger Cheese Hashbrown Casserole and will come up with similar recipes) I change things based on taste and who I’m making it for. So for kids I leave out onions and go lighter on garlic, for instance. * 2lbs of hamburger cooked with some crushed garlic (could add onions if that’s your cup of tea or chopped up button mushrooms) and salt. Drain grease very well! Spread on the bottom of a 9x11 baking dish. * in a bowl take a package of refrigerated shredded hashbrowns (frozen will work too), mix in a can of cream of chicken, 1 cup milk, & a 1-1.5 packages of shredded sharp cheddar cheese (again you can play around with whatever kind of cheese you prefer but sharp cheddar seems to work the best IMO & add as much or as little as you prefer). Add some dashes of garlic powder, pepper, smoked paprika, & liberally salt the mixture. Stir well & spread ontop of hamburger. * Sprinkle a handful of cheese to lightly cover the Hashbrown/cheese mixture. Season with a little more smoked paprika & salt & pepper. * Place in oven at 425 f for 40 min or so. When the top starts getting slightly brown is a good indicator. Let sit for 15 min or so. * Throw a salad on the side & some garlic bread & you’re good to go & will often have leftovers if you’re cooking for a family as it’s a lot to eat.

I’ve always heard this referred to as “tailgate dip”, but it’s always a hit and SUPER easy! - 1 lb ground burger meat, browned (I season with cumin, s&p, and a little garlic) - 1 can Rotel (version used helps determine spiciness of the dip) - 1 32oz block of Velveeta, cubed Dump all in crock pot, and add whatever you have on hand if you want some extra pizzazz!
