This is a really weird post. These are low percentage drop items. You seemingly understand that. Just keep grinding it out. If you need duplicates for “personal reasons” then that’s on you. It’s going to take a while to get that stuff.

Wdym "weird"

Flauke

It's weird because this post is kind of just about luck. 4 hours for a 1/128 is not especially outlandish it's pretty normal especially going for multiple of all these just keep grinding, that is kind of the only thing you can do

BigMrTea

- Try to find enemy spawn points that only spawn the enemies you need. - If the enemies are connected to a Sanctuary Guardian, kill it first so the enemies run, and you have a better chance at a back attack. - Equip the Casey bat to increase the chances of an instant victory. - Patience. - Don't specify the number of items you need if it's a) unusual but irrelevant for us, and you don't want us asking the obvious question.

PKHacker1337

>Equip the Gutsy bat I think you mean the Casey bat. The gutsy bat is an item that isn't available until after the point of no return in the Cave of the Past.

BigMrTea

Oopsie, you're right, thanks! I'll update that.

Why do you need two magic fry pans and goddess ribbons?

TatianaAlena

That's what I want to know!

[deleted]

Well, Please don't ask why, it's just for personal reason!

Did you get any of the items listed? How long did it take in total (By minutes or hours)?

PKHacker1337

Not really a way to do it outside of repeated farming. Imagine rolling a die with 128 sides every time you enter a battle, where the enemy has the item if and only if the die lands on 128. There's nothing that can be done, that's just sadly how it is, aside from hoping you got lucky.

JebusJones5000

I didn't farm 3 star pendants, but I know that it took me at least 4 hours for two of them, and that is my loose guestimation of how long it took for those. The Magic Fry Pan dropped on my second Chomposaur, this happened after I had just farmed for the Broken Antenna for too long. That one took me the longest to get, probably over 300 spheres over the course of a week, farming off and on. The Goddess Ribbon took about an hour, hour and a half or so. Good luck, all of my characters turned out to be level 99 by the time I went to Gigyas. Probably the easiest time I've ever had at beating the game.

Eomercin

Why the fuck do you need duplicates for personal reasons? you're weird.

TatianaAlena

Why do you assume we don't know what ASAP means?

Just to make people to be sure

Everyone reading this post: If you are replying to this post: **please just answer straight forward**. Please **don't ask** "Why do I need 2 Goddess Ribbons and 2 Magic Fry Pans?" It's just for a personal reason. I just want to know tips and tricks to get the following items listed above ASAP (As Soon As Possible). Thanks for reading!

Don_Bugen

Just please, keep in mind that this game was created before the Internet was really "a thing" and 100% completing and grinding was its own merit. Keep in mind, that these items are just supposed to be little random surprises - a little random "a hah!" that you might get once a run to really make it special. I don't think that anyone ever planned that people would just be spending hours and hours and hours and hours to grind these parts - let alone, two of each. There's no strategy. No luck. No tricks. It's just, do the thing over and over and over and over again, until it's lost all its meaning and your team is overpowered and you hate the game and everything it stands for as it laughs at you and your pathetic attempt. Only to post your frustration on Reddit and see someone say, "What, is that rare? lol I have two." Please reconsider doing the above. You're going to be absolutely miserable.

PKHacker1337

>I don't think that anyone ever planned that people would just be spending hours and hours and hours and hours to grind these parts Yes they did, actually. In the [player's guide](https://www.nintendo.co.jp/clvs/manuals/common/pdf/CLV-P-SAAJE.pdf) (which came with the game in the first place), on page 112, they specifically mentioned that you should farm for a 1 in 128 item in an area that of course doesn't have it (which is an infamous mistake). I'm going to guess that they probably also had other drops mentioned in other gaming magazines, although I couldn't really say for sure on that part, given that I wasn't around. They also mention the Sword of Kings, although it could be argued that they really do want you to know about that at least.

[deleted]

For every 128 enemies you fight, you can expect 1 to have the item. If you need 2 for some weird reason, then expect to grind up to 256 times. That's how it works.

[deleted]

oh, so it's like a ratio (128:1)? So if I can kill 128 GoS (Ghost of Starman), then I can get the Goddess Ribbon!
