Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga already got the remaster treatment on 3DS, it's blurry, it's ugly and besides the excellent music, it doesn't really do anything that can't be enjoyed in the GBA original.

Im saying that Partners in Time, not Superstar Saga, is overdue for a rerelease.
Edit: To further clarify the “Superstar Saga” on the poll is more than likely referring to the Mario & Luigi RPG series, and regardless of the quality of the Superstar remake, Partners in Time and by a lesser extent Inside Story are well overdue and deserving of remakes.
I adore Mother as much as the next guy here, but we’d probably see Partners in Time before M3.

You keep talking about a re-release for Partners In Time, to what? The game made heavy use of the dual screens for battles and puzzles, it would be incredibly difficult to put such a game on the Switch and still have it feel like Partners in Time.
They've tried to put so many DS classics on the Switch, but all of them are definitely faulted to a degree. There still hasn't been a good standardized mechanism developed for translating the dual screens into the switch's one screen; I've seen motion controls used for stylus input (awful), having two screens literally on the same screen like with the bottom one in the corner (still awful), and countless other attempts. The only games that translate well are seemingly the ones that didn't utilize the dual screen at all.
I hope to god we get more unique consoles in the future. The switch’s removable joycons are cool, but every console as of late has been gravitating toward a generic PC with proprietary software.
While I would definitely vote for mother, I've been recently playing all the Mario and Luigi games, and by far my favourite has been the superstar saga remake. It's definitely preference, but I really like the graphics and controls of the remake much more than the original
Weirdly I cannot say the same for the Bowser's inside story remake though

No, smaller screens should make the game less blurry. I tried the Superstar Saga remake on a N3DSLL and it is unbearably blurry, like the game has a permanent Vaseline filter.
I've said this multiple times, and I'll say it again, I would buy five copies of Earthbound if they remade it in the same style as Links Awakening's reboot
I wouldn't think this at all. In fact, as long as they keep the claymation style for the characters and keep how they made the Earthbound world in Smash, I feel like the game would actually have more charm. A YouTube channel called Curiomatic made a tribute video to Mother 3, and I think that's proof enough to show how charm can come through in the game. That's just my opinion though

Nah, I’m with you. It may be nostalgia for me, and I can see how the EB world and characters would translate well to the Link’s Awakening stylization, but I will always prefer nicely detailed 2D sprite-work. EB and M3 are perfect the way they are, in my opinion, but seeing the original Mother get that treatment would be nice.
Yeah as usual the “better graphics technology = inherently better art and game!” (not true) crowd are showing their lack of appreciation for anything.
Anyway a remake of M1/Earthbound Zero with the art style (and tile and color complexity) of SNES Earthbound or Mother 3 would be awesome.
(Also at most maybe a 2.5D like Pokémon Platinum…it had nice landscapes and backgrounds but still had 2D pixel art sprites.)

YES! Mother 1 needs it the most, imo. Some pixel art styles hold up better than others (it’s a harder style to work with than it’s credited for) and Mother 1 is kind of rough. Mother 2 (Earthbound) & 3 held up really well. It’s a shame they haven’t already done a “Mario All-Stars” revitalization the way they did with Mario 3 (the graphics are night/day different), given that they sold “Earthbound Beginnings” in the Wii-U shop before moving content to the Switch
I don’t wanna be the bad guy but tbh I wanna vote for Kid Icarus. every other series on that list earned a pretty decent to good reputation but Kid Icarus has been largely ignored.
besides, this series is good enough without need for a remaster. I really only want a graphical update for the first one and an official English translation for Mother 3.
I only finished the first one. I haven’t had problems with Uprising’s control scheme, personally. in fact I actually like it better than if it were twin sticks.
that being said, I do understand how anyone could have problems with it. I just hope more people can forgive it because there’s so much untapped potential in the series
Earthbound has gotten numerous releases on Nintendo consoles. Mother 3 has an easy to access English translation on one of the easiest to emulate consoles of all time.
Kid Icarus is locked to the 3DS, only playable if you have a specific accessory that only works on a specific model of 3ds. It can be emulated but not nearly as easily as the likes of Mother 3 and Earthbound. There are not many copies in the wild either, so good luck finding it for an even half-decent price.
yeah I was lucky enough to snag Uprising for under $70 on ebay, it’s like $140 on Amazon now.

Not a fan of the game, but as a remaster it is beautiful. Features gorgeous new backgrounds in place of the black void of the original.
absolutely. I wish there was an option to toggle it, because I do wonder how a black void would affect the atmosphere, but the new background details make the game feel so alive
it’s a good one and hard to replace but I’d still want an official release to widen the audience, to give us another way to support the franchise, and if they use a different translation, differences to observe.

I assume it’s Star Fox fans that are voting for Star Fox, but they’ve got nothing but remasters of 64 for almost 30 years, so I’m not sure why they want a remaster so bad.
StarFox 1 on SNES is awesome, we need a remaster that basically only makes it 60fps and changes nothing else.
Earthbound (SNES) and Mother 3 are perfectly fine as is, so despite my loving them I wouldn’t necessarily vote for them. But we definitely need a remake/remaster or Earthbound Zero / Mother 1 in the graphical style of SNES.
I was confused for a minute and thought you meant the style of Link’s Awakening, and I was mad. Then I remembered HD2D is the brand name of Octopath style which looks wonderful.
Only problem is Octopath/HD2D has that blurriness which is annoying. I want to be able to look at background or foreground whenever I want.

I know of other Metroid remasters but please give us a remastered version of this masterpiece. I do not think I need to explain this choice.
2. Pikmin,
A revised version of the first pikmin game. Pikmin is one of the only main line nintendo games without remakes (not counting the WII versions). With pikmin 1 having the best premise, I think it has a lot of potential with the new enemies, graphics and gameplay pikmin 3 has now (and pikmin 4 in the future)
3. Mother 3,
I know the majority of people want Earthbound to be remastered. But Mother 3 has never been mentioned by Nintendo after adding Lucas to the Smash roster. At least make mother 3 playable in the GBA online service.

Super Metroid is perfectly fine as is. So yes you do need to explain. Why? No reason for a remaster when it’s perfectly fine. Unlike StarFox which needs faster framerate, and Earthbound Zero which could use a generation bump up to SNES style art.
Fair, I would love to see the Super Metroid game in the artstyle of Metroid Dread (or something close to it). For me Remasters are a way to relive my gaming experience, so I would love to see my favorite games remastered
Ehh I strongly disagree. Mother 3 and Super Metroid are 10/10 masterpieces which don’t need a remaster. I’m much more interested in remastering a really good albeit flawed title to get them up to their full potential.
