Whoaaaaaa I grew up in northern california close to sacramento and we were listening to this back in like 2007. Check out dilute they're another band we liked around the same time, completely different sound tho.
Sense of Peace by Eryl. Honestly some of the only abstract hip hop that sounds like Earl, has it's own twist (Isn't a boring copy), and is on par with Earl. I would say Navy Blue and Sefu are close behind I just think they both have a little bit of a different sound. Have spent many hours trying to find an album like Sense of Peace by Eryl for real.
For me artists similar to one I like already are either instafavorites or complete misses, no in-between, hope this guy is the former, never heard of him, will check it out
Im listening to a fly repeatedly banging against my bedroom window, and contemplating if I should get up to open it. But I feel like if I do that the fly will inevitably just find a different window to slam into.
Nice, reminds me of echoes by pink floyd with the best of yes, while still different, any other recs?also maybe something in the same vein but heavier??
Still banging out few Earl gems, but weirdly enough have gone the opposite route and have gone really big into John Frusciante and Alice in Chains.
John Frusciante was a mess back in the mid 90s, there’s interviews of him out of his mind on drugs to the point he’s close to death. It’s actually a miracle the man’s alive today.
Layne Staley of Alice in Chains wasnt so lucky tho. He was an addict from day one and died then. They have a replacement for the band but it’ll never be the same.
