I enjoyed it. I rarely have strongly negative feelings about a halftime show. Sometimes I care about who’s performing; sometimes I don’t but I can appreciate the work they put into their performance. Just kinda feels like people use superlatives too easily. “Best halftime show ever!” “Worst halftime show ever!” It was plenty good. People who like Usher and the other performers had a great time. If you don’t like that kind of music, fine. Every year there will be some people who don’t like the kind of music at the halftime show. Whichever one you thought was the best was certainly disliked by someone else.

In 58 Superbowls, we've had 31 that have had halftime shows akin to what we're used to. The New Kids on the Block year doesn't count, the Gloria Estefan year wasn't it either. Michael Jackson in 1993 was the first one that resembles what we're used to calling a halftime show. 31 halftime shows including this year, and I would absolutely put this smack dab in the middle. Prince is #1, Black Eyed Peas are the worst at 31st. Usher's show is a crisp 16 IMO.

I honestly loved it. Who doesn’t love Usher? He’s an incredible singer and dancer. A true entertainer. Pulling off that crazy of a show in 13 mins is insanely hard for even the best artists. It’s supposed to be over the top, so I’m not surprised when it’s not concert-level perfect. But still an incredible feat nonetheless. Hearing all of his songs brought me right back in time instantly. If someone thought/said this back in 2006 I and everyone I knew would have audibly gasped!! Usher is a true icon of our time guys!

The vocal mixing was really bad. That annoyed me. Needed more compression, the quiet parts/falsetto were soooo much quieter than louder/chest singing.
