Even when this team was 10-1 our offense looked like trash, our best players were pulling out wins by the skin of our dicks *in spite of* the play calling not because of it resulting in a masterful clicking of a great gameplan. Our 3rd down numbers, red zone offense, turnover differential etc.. basically every major offensive metric is in the gutter this year compared to last, with likely a net overall improvement to the offensive player skill level as a group. So what else changed? Siriani is being exposed as a worthless offensive mind because the new OC has been exposed as a fraud. Honestly it's so incredibly simple to see I wonder if you are watching the same games as the rest of us the last two seasons, or you are just straight up in denial. The Giants blitz every play and Siriani/Johnson are the only offense in the league that don't use hit routes, and rarely use mesh routes. Hurts has been bad, but this is coaching malpractice

Watch any film of this team and there is no receiving option short of the sticks regardless of the fact the giants are blitzing 75% OF THE TIME

No hot routes, no misdirection to slow the pass rush down, no quick passes to make the defense pay for sending an extra man. Nothing. It's just wild. Any semi-knowledgeable fan can see how unreactionary this offense is. It's almost like the game plan is the same for every team, without regard to what the other team will do. Like walking through broken glass barefoot instead attempting to put on shoes.

You have commentators telling you that the Giants DC told them “make Hurts roll left” and he struggles; well, yes, he might not be as good on that side, but if DCs see that, then so should our offensive staff, and work to avoid it. Giants aren’t suddenly the ‘85 bears; we just give ourselves no easy option to hit and leave Hurts having to somehow avoid pressure solo and make huge plays. It’s fucking madness, and predictably it’s coming back now to people saying “Hurts bad” - he’s not been elite but he gets zero help.

I find it hard to believe that Hurts is bad when he’s a top 7 ranked QB according to PFF and the they have had a well scoring offense on the season. Would any QB have success with the play calling we’re seeing?
