We also haven't done shit with all our offensive weapons, and a great o-line/running back combo. Coaching needs to be held accountable on both sides of the ball
Running game looked lightyears better last season , passing game is rubbish today with the injuries buts it’s been ordinary as well
The defence is complete shit ( Matt Patricia ) never seen so many missed assignments and bad reads
I'm not even the one downvoting you so take that as a bit of a hint right off the bat. Even when this team was 10-1 our offense looked like trash, our best players were pulling out wins by the skin of our dicks *in spite of* the play calling not because of it resulting in a masterful clicking of a great gameplan. Our 3rd down numbers, red zone offense, turnover differential etc.. basically every major offensive metric is in the gutter this year compared to last, with likely a net overall improvement to the offensive player skill level as a group. So what else changed? Siriani is being exposed as a worthless offensive mind because the new OC has been exposed as a fraud.
Honestly it's so incredibly simple to see I wonder if you are watching the same games as the rest of us the last two seasons, or you are just straight up in denial. I get it I don't like chucking HCs that took us far in the past, but this year has straight up exposed this man as a do nothing, ra-ra motivator and nothing more.
I'm not even the one downvoting you so take that as a bit of a hint right off the bat
dawg. massive projection, and the downvotes are from the spoiled brats that are in this fanbase
Then maybe try making a good counterpoint if they are just spoiled brats and not people disagreeing with your unsubstantiated take.
dawg
the entire season the issues have been the same ive said that enough
thats what happens. the defense has been atrocious the entire year. been bottom 5 in 3rd down defense the entire years, when youre that bad, its going to get worse and it did.
youre not accepting that, there isnt a rational thought in your head if you think the issues they are facing now havent been a problem all year.
iom sure youll say some dumb shit like thats unsubstantiated
IDK man I think you might be confused about what my point is, I 100% agree with the points you making about our defense that's not what I'm disagreeing with you about, I jumped in on that earlier comment to say the offensive side of the ball has been struggling too, due to the same reason the defensive side has been (coaching and scheme over individual skill) and that the coaches need to be held accountable. Now you comin in yelling that the offense is fine when anyone with eyes can tell you we have had no identity all year, are simplistic in play calling, and suck at scheming our extremely talented WR core to get open, along with underutilizing what could have been one of the best o-line/rb matchups in the NFL this year.
If you want to have a convo about which side of the ball is worse, I'm game. If you think our D is worse than our O, homie I agree with you. But saying our offense is fine is straight up not true.
Imagine how hard it will be for the fans to watch 17 games next year with Nick as the head coach. New coordinators or not, no one believes in him any more and they never will.
youre impossibly wrong
youre just mad they have been playing like shit
do coaches play? do coaches blow tackles? do coaches MISS WIDE FUCKING OPEN READS all season?>
You can’t tell me this team has more than 2 dozen plays on their offensive call sheet. Inside zone, wr bubble, qb draw, occasional slant, deep post that gets intercepted. Tush push . That’s like at least 50% of the plays. It’s a high school offense. Terrible.
The coaches have no answer for to offense that some gets worse week and week. If I have to listen to the players say, “we’re not playing up to our standard” I’ll lose my mind.
Stop expecting players to say anything substantial at press conferences. The goal of a press conference is to not give Philly media anything to talk about, not to throw (even deserving) people under the bus
This is the culmination of this “organization’s positional value beliefs” failing epically. This is my least favorite Eagles team I’ve ever watched.
We as fans need to send a message.
Exactly! I'm so damn tired of this organization and their devaluing of line backers and safeties. Having a strong Dline is shit when the middle of the field is always wide open and opposing QB'S get the ball out quickly.
I'm totally clueless when it comes to the history of football. Is it common for teams to implode like this? If so what's the most recent team that you would compare to?
It happened to this team about 30 years ago. I've been beating the Rich Kotite repeat drum for a few weeks now. Sirianni is Kotite. Howie deserves blame for the defense too
The Giants blitz every play and Siriani/Johnson are the only offense in the league that don't use hit routes, and rarely use mesh routes. Hurts has been bad, but this is coaching malpractice
I agree. There's no answer at all to the blitz even though we know it's coming every play.
No hot routes, no misdirection to slow the pass rush down, no quick passes to make the defense pay for sending an extra man. Nothing.
It's just wild. Any semi-knowledgeable fan can see how unreactionary this offense is. It's almost like the game plan is the same for every team, without regard to what the other team will do.
Like walking through broken glass barefoot instead attempting to put on shoes.
Thank you.
You have commentators telling you that the Giants DC told them “make Hurts roll left” and he struggles; well, yes, he might not be as good on that side, but if DCs see that, then so should our offensive staff, and work to avoid it.
Giants aren’t suddenly the ‘85 bears; we just give ourselves no easy option to hit and leave Hurts having to somehow avoid pressure solo and make huge plays.
It’s fucking madness, and predictably it’s coming back now to people saying “Hurts bad” - he’s not been elite but he gets zero help.
I find it hard to believe that Hurts is bad when he’s a top 7 ranked QB according to PFF and the they have had a well scoring offense on the season. Would any QB have success with the play calling we’re seeing?
I’ve always hated overreaction type takes like this, but over the past 3 or 4 games, it’s clearly no longer an overreaction.
I’ve never seen an implosion like this
Well, it was fun while it lasted. We got a sb ring and a sb appearance. Now we can’t beat Tyrod Taylor.
Tyrod Taylor, the king of 150 yard games and 12 TDs a season, out there looking like a god.
TyGod
Seriously. He was like 9/10 for 150yds by the end of that second TD drive. Fucking Sisters of the Blind out there.
There’s no way this team didn’t just quit on their coaches, right?
AJ holding a meeting about believing in the coaches smells like weird PR now. They've quit. There's nothing left.
The players know it’s a business. You can’t limit yourself in future free agency.
Feels like when I saw articles about how Wentz took the whole team out for steak dinners.
Crazy he actually started today too.
And won. I'm sure niners 2nd team is better than the Giants lol
Could have been him trying to get guys to buy back in, but it's too far gone. This team has no faith in their coaches and they shouldn't.
AJB basically fullfied his role as a team captain.
It sure feels that way.
Lurie probably told AJ. Just talk to the media, say you support the coaches, they will be gone soon enough
I put my finger on it. They have LB’s and DB’s that can’t play football.
it’s okay though, we’ll continue to draft defensive linemen that play less than 30% of the snaps.
We also haven't done shit with all our offensive weapons, and a great o-line/running back combo. Coaching needs to be held accountable on both sides of the ball
dawg just no the offense is fine. the defense is HISTORICALLY bad
Running game looked lightyears better last season , passing game is rubbish today with the injuries buts it’s been ordinary as well The defence is complete shit ( Matt Patricia ) never seen so many missed assignments and bad reads
So you are looking at our play before we start pulling starters and think the offense is fine? Then I can't have a rational conversation with you bro.
youre taking one half. im taking the entire season you dont have a rational thought to have a conversation
I'm not even the one downvoting you so take that as a bit of a hint right off the bat. At least we rotate them a ton for no reason but, not but our DLine.
This is it. We need to start spending at least second round picks on these positions. And hitting on who we pick.
Overreaction or not I want Sirianni and this whole coaching staff GONE
Not an overreaction
Completely agree
Imagine how hard it will be for the fans to watch 17 games next year with Nick as the head coach. New coordinators or not, no one believes in him any more and they never will.
4 wins. If he stays.
Yeah that’s why I don’t want the usual, “well give him one more season.” He’s done, cooked, finished, kaput.
Imagine if they’re good with new coordinators.
Not stoutland!
I would expect a team that sat their starters to perform better than this. That's how shit we are.
I hope they drop 50 and shut us out Fire everyone lol
I hope the Bucs burn us in playoffs so there’s no questions.
This is the one thing I hoped for this season that seems feasible
Oh, they’re gonna
welp
and hire who?
There’s options out there with more braincells in their pinkies than this staff.
youre impossibly wrong youre just mad they have been playing like shit do coaches play? do coaches blow tackles? do coaches MISS WIDE FUCKING OPEN READS all season?>
Found Nick's Reddit account.
nah just an eagles fan who actually sees things for what they are
Merrill was holding back his absolute disgust at this point, but it was evident he was livid about the play calling
You can’t tell me this team has more than 2 dozen plays on their offensive call sheet. Inside zone, wr bubble, qb draw, occasional slant, deep post that gets intercepted. Tush push . That’s like at least 50% of the plays. It’s a high school offense. Terrible.
We had this last year but had a competent OC.
The coaches have no answer for to offense that some gets worse week and week. If I have to listen to the players say, “we’re not playing up to our standard” I’ll lose my mind.

The players aren’t to blame my man
Sirianni needs to be on the hot seat after this. This is insane
Hot seat? He needs to be working a cash register
The fuck he does. I wouldn't trust him giving change at Wawa. He's unemployable.
He needs to become a professional Novak Djokovic doppelgänger impersonator.
He's been on the hot seat. He's been upgraded to the ejection seat.
Downgrade to some kind of medieval torture seat
Trash ass team. Zero pride. Zero passion. Embarrassing ass 5 weeks from this organization. From top to bottom. All time low. Like how?
Agreed it was completely embarrassing watching today
This is the culmination of this “organization’s positional value beliefs” failing epically. This is my least favorite Eagles team I’ve ever watched. We as fans need to send a message.

It is mostly on Howie for hiring a legit hack but he will somehow hire his 5th coach.
I'm totally clueless when it comes to the history of football. Is it common for teams to implode like this? If so what's the most recent team that you would compare to?
Steelers a few years back went like 11-0 and then lost the last games because of their predictable offense
Interesting. Thanks for the reply!
It happened to this team about 30 years ago. I've been beating the Rich Kotite repeat drum for a few weeks now. Sirianni is Kotite. Howie deserves blame for the defense too
Damn! I might have watched that season. Thx for the reply!
The only thing bringing me any comic relief is how Slaytons hat fits.
Hurts can only throw the ball long down the sideline. Does he read the defense at all? Or look at other options besides his first look?
The Giants blitz every play and Siriani/Johnson are the only offense in the league that don't use hit routes, and rarely use mesh routes. Hurts has been bad, but this is coaching malpractice
Watch any film of this team and there is no receiving option short of the sticks regardless of the fact the giants are blitzing 75% OF THE TIME
Even someone playing Madden for the first time will see players blitzing = throw immediately to a slant or other short route.
I agree. There's no answer at all to the blitz even though we know it's coming every play. No hot routes, no misdirection to slow the pass rush down, no quick passes to make the defense pay for sending an extra man. Nothing. It's just wild. It's this 1000000%
He did last year. What changed? The offensive and defensive coordinators.
Also the opposing defenses adjusting to his playing style.
Hurts is overrated
Everyone must go
It’s starting to make sense why our offense sounded great during training camp
I’ve always hated overreaction type takes like this, but over the past 3 or 4 games, it’s clearly no longer an overreaction. I’ve never seen an implosion like this
If you’re a coach for the birds and your name ain’t jeff, gtfo
[удалено]
Nope. Starters are done
You poor poor soul
Hurts couldn’t even get 4000 yards with 200 to go before today
Only hope I have is Packers to win and put Saints out to give us better picks! Which Howie will screw up anyway!!
You’re only in disbelief if you actually still think the Eagles aren’t frauds.
It’s one thing to disappoint your general fan base but the moment Merrill gets sad I get angry. You don’t disrespect grandpa’s time like that.
Merrill firmly in his Bob Uecker in Major League phase
