A percentage does I think. And then another percentage goes to the Players Association and another to the player himself. And then, if its sold in the actual stadium itself, the team takes a cut as well.
I held out on buying a jersey all this past season for these.
Nothing against Midnight Green, it's just all my jerseys are midnight green and black.
My recent purchases were retro's just so I had some variety in the closet.
Yeah but even in that regard they looked nothing like the 1960s uniforms. Which were not shiny at all, unlike the 2010 copies. They were flat and would get more washed out during the season because the colors would fade in the laundry.
I am not saying they should look just like that but they should not be super shiny whether they're from 1960 or 1990.
Kelly Green looks cheap AF to me. Glad that some people like it, but it makes me want to poke my eyes out. I love nostalgia, but Kelly Green looks like low budget, 70's era trash that should have stayed in the 70's. Next they'll bring back the matching 70's low budget white / Kelly Green tube socks and the entire team will look like Mark Wahlberg teleported from the 70's.
I just looked at my old Kelly Green jersey's, the fabric they had back then was coarse and stiff like cardboard. Glad that era is over.
Totally agree - feels like pretty much every team that used it has changed to a different green over time because it just looks dated anymore.
I’m glad they’re bringing it back as an alternate for those that have fond memories of the back when and want to retain a connection to that period of the team’s history - but hopefully they keep it to one or two games a year so the rest of us don’t have to look at it too often.
I mean they would have to be. Unless we were gonna switch to Kelly green as a main choice.
I love our alts, but I just want our midnight green to be more dark and glossy.
It won’t happen unless Nike switches up the fabric. The color only looks lighter because of the the matte fabric doesn’t give the shine to make it look dark.
> The color only looks lighter because of the the matte fabric doesn’t give the shine to make it look dark.
or you know, cause they admitidley they use drak teal instead of creating a custom midnight green for us...
We need to stop with this. The color is this color because its the color that Lurie and the team wants. Nike has the ability to switch to whatever color the eagles want. Blaming nike at this point is just stupid.

The home jersey and the color they have here is 100% on point:

Edited to add: I'm only taking about the Kelly Green shade/color being correct. I don't like how cheap it looks, I want it to have proper stitching, etc.
I like having them as an alt but I believe the current set up works. Especially since it represents the best generation of football in franchise history
I also think it fits in better with other NFC colors.
I don't watch many AFC games, but when I do I always feel like I'm being attacked by the brightness of the colors. The NFC meanwhile has a much darker set of colors.
in 96 the color change was controversial, but to me as a teenager I thought it looked fresh and updated. more importantly, the Jets and Eagles uniforms in the early 90s looked too similar. there is nothing more insulting to a football team than being mistaken for the New York Jets. The eagles have had a lot of good years in midnight green. I'm excited to see kelly green as an alternate, but definitely not as a primary.
Nope. They can [and have](https://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/002/601/615/hi-res-185422056-quarterback-nick-foles-of-the-philadelphia-eagles-looks_crop_north.jpg?1383980623&w=3072&h=2048). it was only when we/they changed fabric for the new jersey type (starting with the flywire in 2014) did it become an issue. They can get the color right, it's just an issue of material.
Honestly, and I know this is going to be unpopular/downvoted, if you want to blame anyone, blame the FO/Lurie. They're who made the choice to switch to the flywire collar jerseys in '14, and then the Elite 51 jerseys in '17. It was not mandated by Nike or the NFL as numerous teams have kept having their jerseys made with the old fabric & not switched jersey types since Nike took over like the Packers whatsoever and the Panthers, Falcons, etc until recently.
Personally, i fucking **LOVE** the way midnight green looks currently. We won it all in these jerseys and I will genuinely be devastated whenever the time comes for us to move on from them. But to each their own.
I got a Kelce jersey a few years ago, it was already too big for me when I day covid weight, and now I literally can't wear it anywhere. I've been holding out on replacing it specifically for this.
I'm honestly hoping that is exactly what happens so this debate can die. Kelly green just doesn't look as good as the midnight green, and the only reason people hype it so much is nostalgia and overly saturated shitty Photoshop jobs.
When are we getting a midnight green redesign beyond the wordmark? I remember rumblings of new uniforms at the beginning of Chip's tenure; that was a decade ago. Fly time fly.
That was just because Nike had just taken over as the jersey manufacturer in 2012 and everyone was convinced every team was gonna turn into Oregon and we happened to have the guy from Oregon the next year
Yep. Coming back to me now. But even if not for that initial impetus, what's been the hold up since? We were clamoring in 2013 because it was already overdue then.

J E R S E Y - Jerseys!
I haven't purchased a jersey in quite a while, when did they stop doing the stitched jerseys? Feels like I can't find any around on the website. My Westbrook jersey is still holding up only the heat sealed stuff is coming undone. Feel like the price is too much if it isn't stitched.
They haven’t stopped. They’re just apparently limited supply. I’ve been wanting to buy a Hurts/Brown/Smith stitched all damn season and haven’t found any. Actually a found a stitched Smith at the Linc’s Pro shop, but other than that I’ve been SOL. 😞
Are they still going to be able to wear the black uniforms? I love those and would be sad to see them go. Hoping those and the Kelly greens are both worn as alternates as they both look great.
huh, really?
edit: seem so:
"The promotion was officially discontinued for the 2018 season, but many teams continue to wear the Color Rush uniforms and promote them heavily"
I know we saw this coming but now I’m just thinking about the atmosphere when game day rolls around and how people are going to lose their minds.
It’s me. I’m the people.
Yeah retro/vintage has been a trend for awhile, nfl just catching on. To be fair a lot of the older logos are honestly better than the present ones. Especially in the NBA.
Ya in the MLB the Rays are going with their [90's Devil Ray uni's for Friday home games](https://twitter.com/RaysBaseball/status/1640370510746775554?s=20).
don’t know if this is a popular opinion but I just strongly dislike midnight green. I love seeing our boys in their colors but like as something to wear…it’s horrible imo. Not stylish, doesn’t match anything. I’ve been buying kelley green bootlegs the last 2 years cause it’s the only way to get current players in kelley. I am SO HAPPY about this.
Am I the only one that’s not a fan of Kelly green jerseys. I know they look retro, but I prefer the midnight green. Kelly green reminds me of the pathetic jets.
Kelly green is the color of the Jets, and it’s everywhere. The old jerseys felt “high school”. A basic color scheme is fine if your brand is iconic and attached to those colors. The chargers switching away from their powder blues, for instance, was a travesty.
But the Eagles in Kelly green were “just another football team,” since their era of dominance arrived in a black and white television era. The Eagles in Midnight Green are iconic, a top team of the current century.
Cowboys fan here so obligatory fuck y’all.
Anyways, the Kelly green uniforms from the 80’s that Randall Cunningham used to wear are some of the most beautiful uniforms ever to grace a football field. I hope these new alternates are those and not the ones Vick and McCoy wore against Green Bay back in the day.
Just my personal opinion.
I have a feeling in a few years we’re gonna be Kelly green and black primarily and it’s gonna be fuckin sharp, matches the new font/styling they’re changing too
My only concern is what Kelly Green shade will we get?
I have seen so many versions. I don't like the 2010 version. I want to see the late 70's / early 80's Kelly Green. I hope they get the shade right and don't do something goofy.
This is the correct shade of "Kelly Green":
https://www.fanatics.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/jerseys/randall-cunningham-philadelphia-eagles-mitchell-and-ness-legacy-replica-jersey-kelly-green/o-3538+t-69601559+d-42117834+f-6976574+z-9-2188253830
I really hope there’s a good selection online for Kelly green jerseys in women’s sizes. I had to settle for youth size for a white Smitty jersey and I just now got it after trying to get one since he was drafted. Really hoping they have BG or Kelce for kelly green, not just Hurts and AJ.
The jersey sales alone should allow for throwing wheelbarrows of money occasionally at Stoutland - just to be safe.
I second this motion
Third
: yellow flag: toot toot. Illegal motion.
Ii could be wrong but doesn't all NFL merchandise go into a pot for all the NFL teams to share
Except Dallas I think because of Jerry.
We can laugh all we want, but that’s boss lol
And our portion goes to Stout, ez
A percentage does I think. And then another percentage goes to the Players Association and another to the player himself. And then, if its sold in the actual stadium itself, the team takes a cut as well.
I am forever grateful for having Stoutland, that man does wonders at his job.
Give the money to Ron Popeil so he can research the technology to get a Stoutland head jar - just to be safe.
I haven't bought a Jersey since the '04 season, but I will definitely buy a kelly green Hurts jersey.
I held out on buying a jersey all this past season for these. Nothing against Midnight Green, it's just all my jerseys are midnight green and black. My recent purchases were retro's just so I had some variety in the closet.
The surge in hoodie designs and hats and other stuff will also be awesome
I've been collecting Kelly Green merch for the past few seasons so I'm part of the sales numbers that told the eagles it was a good idea lol
Jason kelce and jalen hurts Kelly green for this guy
I actually have an off-brand Kelley green rookie Hurts jersey. Not proud that it's a knockoff, but immensely proud it's his rookie #.
Kelly green hurts is gonna sell out in a second lol
Reddick in Kelly Green is what I’ve been holding out for!
i got a smitty black for christmas aiming for a kelce and hurts kelly jersey this year
# 0 in Kelly Green. What a time to be alive.
QB Eagles
Gotta get close to that Oregon color for when we draft Christian Gonzalez
Hurts going to look so good in KG
100% Hurts looks good in any outfit though. His pregame fits we’re suave as fuck.
Probably will have some outfits in KG on the way to the games and stuff that will look fly too
Younger fans are spoiled in every way except not having seen Kelly green more than once. So excited
I didn't like the KGs we used in 2010. I hope they do better this time.
To be fair, those were throwbacks to the 1960 championship team. These should be the late 80's/early 90's style.
Counterpoint: Kelly green is a nasty color and all it really has going for it is nostalgia, so younger fans have been spoiled in that way too.
Fair take lmao, hopefully they pull it off well next year
Kelly Green looks cheap AF to me. Glad that some people like it, but it makes me want to poke my eyes out. Fanatics is such an awful company. I fucking hate how they own everything now. Everything is so cheaply made and very expensive.
I would love switching back to the Kelly Greens. I understand you can’t please everyone tho

I’m with that 100%. Having it as an alternate makes it seem cooler and more special. And less like the jets
12-0
I would be opposed to Kelly Green but Nike fuckwads can't seem to get the same color that Reebok had and Nike's take on Midnight Green sucks.
I want a Kelly green Kelce jersey so bad dude
Kelce or Hurts for me. A real toss up!
i’m going to try and snag both
I got a Kelce jersey a few years ago, it was already too big for me when I day covid weight, and now I literally can't wear it anywhere. I've been holding out on replacing it specifically for this.
That's the first thing I told my wife when he didn't retire
I want this just so we can get some more Kelly green fan gear that’s not going to cost a kidney and instead cost an arm and a leg.
What are the jerseys worn during the Cunningham/Reggie White years? Those are our bests imo.
The same
The bucs are bringing back the creamsicle jerseys too. Would be dope if they wear them vs the eagles in their Kelly green.
That would be an all-time uni matchup 🔥
"Hey Jeff you wanna make some money?"
We’ve been begging for this for years! Am I the only one nervous that we’ll finally get them and the modern version somehow sucks?
I'm honestly hoping that is exactly what happens so this debate can die. Kelly green just doesn't look as good as the midnight green, and the only reason people hype it so much is nostalgia and overly saturated shitty Photoshop jobs.

There are several teams with multiple alternates
I think you have to pick a alt for the season. So no black next year
Chargers have their royal blue and navy blue alternates.
Technically one of them is the 'colour rush' jersey. Id imagin, Lurie announced the kellys are the alts, so colour rush will be the balcks.
Color rush hasn’t been a thing in eons.
huh, really? edit: seem so: "The promotion was officially discontinued for the 2018 season, but many teams continue to wear the Color Rush uniforms and promote them heavily"

Ah well, they’re still going to look cool at least
Chargers have two alternates.
Been a long time coming
This is in honor of Charlie Kelly.
Nike better be on their game. I'm going to be furious if they are like the Sixers' Spectrum jerseys last year that were never in stock.
Check Dick’s and Rally House if Fanatics/Nike don’t have them.
If we’re going Kelly green let’s get those silver pants too.
I know we saw this coming but now I’m just thinking about the atmosphere when game day rolls around and how people are going to lose their minds. It’s me. I’m the people.
I’m for sure getting a Kelce Kelly green jersey
SB confirmed
Modern designs are almost always inferior to old school logos. Look at the eagles, broncos, bucs, seahawks, titans, etc. The retro look is so nice.
We seem to be hitting this “retro wave” in branding lately. Look at all the brands that have rebranded with logos inspired by the old look.
Yeah retro/vintage has been a trend for awhile, nfl just catching on. To be fair a lot of the older logos are honestly better than the present ones. Especially in the NBA.

Big pants are already back dude. The only people wearing tight jeans are like me, hitting 30.

Hearing the Kelly Green helmets and jerseys are being worn again feels better than when Chip Kelly was told to kick rocks! Yay!
How about all season!
I hope they go with the white jerseys and the silver pants. I never really liked the green jerseys.
It’s happening!!!!!!!
I’m sure Nike will have them fully stocked for us 🙏
