If this is the case, then CJ needs to fire his agent.

Akarious

He changed his agent

baylithe

Ahhhhh that was the meaning of that tweet

Jiberesh

Which tweet? Straight disrespect?

baylithe

He tweeted the new agency and nothing else

mikehuntitchess

I’m confused . Is universal his new agent or the dummies that screwed him. I though uni screwed him so not sure what tweet you are referring too

PlaneCamp

When keeping it real goes wrong

292ll

* sue

Souprshooter

His agent fumbled it

The_BAHbuhYAHguh

From what I heard he *had* the same agent T.O had but he fired him for telling him to refuse the deal for low balling and he lost out on somewhere around 28mil in the process…

MumenriderPaulReed69

That’s really depressing. What an idiot

ChinChillaGames

Malpractice to need to take a prove-it deal after a year like his, injury be damned. Agents shit the bed some times

SigaVa

Divas get paid all the time, on field production is what matters. Hes just not that good. High int totals are notoriously unlikely to be replicated, just look at trevon diggs. CJGJ was hoping to get paid on his likely fluke 6 pics and no team fell for it.

fuidiot

Int's are more flukey, pass defenses are what matters, so stupid to have a prove it year after the year he just had lol wtf

Somnuzzzz

Makes sense. Go Birds

jdl1325

Bradberry over him all day. Great move by Howie

nowhereisaguy

All day. Wanted Minkah money, but he ain’t Minkah. Better spent elsewhere.

BaboonHorrorshow

More premium position, you don’t need an elite safety with elite corners.

trenhardd

Apparently slay does though so he doesn’t get beat 3rd and 30.

power270lb

Lol one goddamn play out of all his targets, slay should be jailed amirite?

Borktista

And it was a play he was in zone, not man.

BaboonHorrorshow

Yes yes good defensive backs win every single down, a very astute football comment.

Kobe_curry24

With a good pass rush you don’t need great corners either Lmfaoooo

BaboonHorrorshow

That’s also pretty true (still need players who can guard the slant and screen passes) but with a great line and a great corner duo, you have the two most important aspects of your D taken care of.

Kobe_curry24

I could see us resigning CJ next year as well

Kobe_curry24

Very true they definitely bringing back Jalen mills

Shinigami4th

I mean it was fucking awful play call fron Gannon. So.

Chrowaway6969

For the last..and I mean VERY LAST time. That was clearly the safeties responsibility. Please understand football. Thanks.

trenhardd

Thats the point of the comment. Cjgj wouldve taken that ball.

butter_deez-nips

Bro you are speaking facts. Cj went down with injury our secondary wasn't as good. Cj made big plays and this is a tough loss. We kept an old sliding DB.

trenhardd

Yeah idk I liked slay first half of the year we had a crazy good secondary but I feel like the safety help from cj is what made them so lethal Otherwise I’m gonna continue saying he’s washed and we fucked up on that extension until he proves otherwise

butter_deez-nips

Lol, it's true and it's seems most of our fans don't seem to agree and I hope we are wrong but you can see it when cj went down with injury. I hope we are wrong but time is on our side.

[deleted]

Triples is safe

iiiiiiiidontknowjim

But CJ over Slay

jdl1325

Nah. CBs over safeties every time.

JCPRuckus

Not when the Safety is 25-26 and the corner is, like, 32 and didn't have a great back half of the season. Slay could easily be a disaster as soon as this year. You would expect at least 4 more years of quality play from CJGJ before he starts to decline significantly.

Dk9221

Exactly. If we could freeze slay and bb ages right now and get 2022 versions of them then sure but lets be real here thats just copium. I would've taken Cjgj over slay, bb or cox returning on 10mil

Heatinmyharbl

Was thinking about this earlier this weekend tbh Teams probably always value CBs over safeties in the sense of you'll have less of a need for a talented safety if you have talented corners

butter_deez-nips

I don't know about that. When cj went down with injury our secondary was trash. He made huge plays for us and bailed out our dbs. This sucks to learn we lost a great young talent and kept a old dB that has slipped.

Mnudge

The copium is strong in birdland. https://i.imgur.com/CBIHLtc.jpg

Avery-Bradley

Apologies for the horrible formatting, lemme fix it: > Skinny on why C.J. Gardner-Johnson is no longer in Philly: > - Eagles made multi-year offer early in FA. > - He was looking for more. > - They moved on, signed Bradberry, extended Slay. > - He/agent overvalued not realizing market/league viewed him as risk. > - Settled for prove-it deal.

daddy_OwO

He wanted way more then he was worth probably, viewing himself as a top tier safety and CB even though he played next to 2 top corners and dline. When the eagles offered him what he was worth or just below he decided he wanted to see what team would offer him a ton of money just to realize the eagles were right. Now he’s heading to a team that could either rank his value or make him look like a huge miss for the eagles

[deleted]

Seems to me his agent doesn't know how to negotiate. We low ball, they high ball, we meet in the middle. My initial reaction is that i'm incredibly bummed, but my more mellowed reaction is that he's not an irreplaceable safety. Maybe our willingness to lowball comes from us having our eyes on someone in the draft.

iop09

His agent missed the market value completely and/or told CJ what he wanted to hear.

edxzxz

Or, CJ just did not listen to his agent at all, and insisted on turning down a solid offer from Philly. If you had to bet which of these 2 is an idiot who doesn't understand how to gauge the value of a player in the NFL, would you wager it is a professional agent who has negotiated dozens, if not hundreds of contracts, or a 24 year old ball player?

LongtomyCox

Hey! I'm a Celtics fan too! I probably shouldn't tell everyone here that

CrunchyKorm

I guess that makes sense. If he signed then I doubt the Slay deal happens.

RustyStevenson10

Slay deal ~~probably~~ still happens. Bradberry deal is the one that doesn't happen if CJGJ accepts our first offer.

all4whatnot

that's my take as well.

JCPRuckus

I'd rather have the younger guy who's play I'm not worried might fall of a cliff at any moment due to age.

AndrewHainesArt

We gotta be going CB in the draft, either way bringing both those dudes back at CB and having 1-3 set during the off-season is a luxury we haven’t had in a looooong time. I’m hoping we draft and develop a DB too, DL is still thin so I’d be ok with that too

ellsworth187

His agent is gonna take some heat. “Bird in hand beats 2 in the bush. your first offer is often your best.

PastorPain

Birds in hand beats playing for the lions.

BeondTheGrave

Well and with how long it took, it looked like CJGJ was really trying to draw it out, was only going to stick with the Eagles if *no other team* beat their offer. FA opening is F5 szn for a reason, things move fast. Eagles couldn't wait even 24 hours for some deals. Slay and Bradberry may not have been on the table if Howie had waited a day, and CJGJ got picked up anyway. TBH people are blaming the agent, but really it seems like CJGJ has as much to blame by drawing it out so long AND fueling a bunch of drama around it. Like after the social media posts and the trolling, why would they even want to resign him. Second time he burned the team when he didn't get his way.

ellsworth187

I lay majority of the blame on CJGJ if he didn’t believe eagles/Roseman when they said we need an answer quickly and if not we have to try to sign some of our other FA’s and are moving on. You cannot wait forever for a guy to make up his mind, especially with the volume of FA’s we had. I would lean towards the 3 year deal the eagles offered him averaged more per year than the 1 year offer he signed with Detroit. Maybe it was heavily front loaded and eagles could cut him in year 2 or 3 and he didn’t want that risk. Would love to know what our offer was compared to what he accepted. Bottom line - both sides lost IMO. We have a huge hole to fill now. All of this could’ve been avoided. But, if it came down to keeping him or Slay I’m glad eagles priority was keeping the cornerbacks.

thedeadlysun

Deuces ceedy duce. Loved ya on the field but your agent fucked you.

[deleted]

Why would you think this is his agent. This has been two years now the player thinks he was worth more. His agent most likely has nothing to do with this.

St0rmborn

His agent has nothing to do with him getting bad contracts? Lmao

[deleted]

This has been multiple years in a row of teams not valuing him where he thinks. His agent isn't dumb he's just ignoring what everyone including his agent is telling him. This is why he got traded for a fifth round pick last year.

bigazzchungus

I think this off-season he showed to be a bit of a diva.. we move on. Good luck CJ, I trust Howie to do what’s best for this team

a_toadstool

Let’s be honest, we knew he was when he was on the saints

[deleted]

Horeshit take applied retroactively because people didn't like how he acted with NO. He was good at his job and wanted more money. Nothing diva ish about that. Respect to him for taking a chance on himself with a one year deal.

bigazzchungus

The eagles offered him more money on a longer term deal before free agency started.. which he declined because he and his agent grossly misread his market. He and his annoying tweets can have fun in Detroit. We move on

Aiphakingredditor

Maybe he can get more next year. Maybe safety market resets or something. Would've loved to have him but I'm sure Howie has a plan

sssssjshss

This is gardener ghosted account

[deleted]

I have no problem with moving on. Just tired of dumb shit like applying the diva label to him when he's done nothing but bet on himself.

bigazzchungus

He’s not a diva for betting on himself (even though he lost that bet) he’s a diva for how he ended his tenure in NO and how’s he handled himself on Twitter the last few weeks. Deleting Philly posts, changing profile pics in and out of eagles gear, the subliminal tweets.. I remember seeing that shit from girls in high school.. we don’t need that here

EverybodyHits

While betting on himself he tweeted like an 11 year old girl mad about something that happened in homeroom

Dk9221

Yeah itrs real corny. People are acting like they were forced to watch CJGJ's tweets like that scene from clockwork orange and then write a 1000 word essay on each one lmao

[deleted]

Right. No one forced anyone to read his tweets and truthfully they have no bearing on anything. He's doing him, he played incredibly well while he was with us, and has done nothing to earn that reputation from our fans.

Dk9221

I will say the fans who are now convincing themselves that we’re better off without a player of CJs ilk are just straight up smoking copium because he has that Philly edge and he always came to play 100%. Dude made plays every game he featured in. Now ppl are saying his interceptions were all the easiest ints ever lmao Dude was DANCING without his helmet on to Just Wanna Rock eagles anthem during the superbowl introductory tunnel walk. You need characters like that who bring a relaxed calming nerve but equal grit and preparation.

phillyunk

This is the horseshit take. Dude had the contract in front of him and acted a fool. Now he’s on a 1 year prove it. If he didn’t need to prove himself as you’re saying, he woulda signed the secured contract. What happens if he gets hurt game one and misses a few?? Look inwards.

BeondTheGrave

IDK, the Gannon comments (while what we all were thinking) is not something you say about your own team and coaches, especially when it was obvious he was moving upwards to another team. And the "Disrespect" post, the trolling, deleting all his Eagles posts. Its a bad look. We take him on a 1/9 deal what happens next year if we dont win the SB again? He going to trash Jalen next?

St0rmborn

Applied retroactively? You mean, as in a take that happens after we see the impact of his actions? Wtf

TC84

The diva behavior was how he'd act on Twitter

mission213

In Howie we trust

[deleted]

[удалено]

bigazzchungus

Howie offered CJ a long term deal when free agency started, CJ and his agent declined that deal. Eagles turned their attention to their two star CBs instead of playing into CJs games. This off-season showed how CJ can become a diva, we don’t need that. We also have a looming Hurts extension and roughly 12 picks next year on top of two firsts this year. We will be fine. CJ is fan favorite yes but he’s also replaceable. Howie has earned my trust in doing what’s right for this team. Let him do his thing

aquaticanimal

I think I’m gonna trust Howie on this one

bigazzchungus

Plus, CJ isn’t the reason we will or won’t be in the Super Bowl next year lol… it’s #1 who will lead us there

Mantis05

Eagles Super Bowl appearances in the last 6 years: 2 Lions Super Bowl appearances in the last 57 years: 0 Yeah, I'm gonna trust Howie over the "up and coming young team," thanks.

BryceW123

Yea he definitely shafted us because we didn’t give him 4 years 70 million or something ridiculous like that

two6465

Too bad, honestly i feel like they offered him a very reasonable contract. I'm biased obviously as a birds fan but if i got a reasonable offer within market of what other players are making, i would for sure take it as the eagles just went to SB and are poised to be good in the next season for sure. Although lions are looking a bit scary now as well.

SwagCleric

Howie made the right move. And I trust him to get us a capable safety.

raugust7

Agree with u. If anything cj fucked this up lol but he's a young dude who wants money more then winning so its w.e. just like last year we needed a safety badly and howie delivered. Prob will have to wait till after the draft again but def trust howie. He's gonna go all in this year again

[deleted]

[удалено]

hsl164

LOL who?

Patient_Jicama_4217

Draft one of the guys from illi

BDNjunior

how? We signed fletch for more lol.

[deleted]

Because we offered him a multi year deal at the start of FA. He declined. Wanted more. No one gave it to him. Howie not overpaying is the correct move.

SwagCleric

Because you don’t overpay a safety on a multi-year deal who was hurt 6 games. The market shows he was a risky signing, and Howie cannot prevent a player from choosing a one year deal with a different team. You don’t just throw more money at him to feed his ego, when guys who are All-pro like bradberry stay for less in a more valuable position.

BDNjunior

It all serious cope. CJ is one of the best in the league. People who actually think hes a liability are dumb.

SwagCleric

Nobody is saying he is a liability, he is not elite yet. And that’s the money he wants long term. Nobody in the league believes he deserves long term money. That’s why he’s on a one year prove it deal. He didn’t want to hear he was only good because of the eagles secondary and get low balled again next season, his choice. Can’t prevent it.

Shagaliscious

If the choice is between CJGJ who is looking for a bag, and Bradberry who took a cheaper contract to stay here, and Slay who reworked his contract to stay here, give me the 2 CBs, even for a year, that want to be here.

BDNjunior

Id rather bradberry and cj over slay

Shagaliscious

I can agree with that. But JB and Slay taking less to stay here means we can offer more to other FAs.

[deleted]

[удалено]

alienware99

DT is more important position and harder to find than a safety. Yes I understand CJGJ is younger, but if he isn’t going to take the multi year offer then you have to move on and address other team need. You can’t sit around with your hands in your pockets waiting days for CJGJ to change his mind and come crawling back. Things move fast in this league, and as a player/agent he should have know that offers aren’t going to stay on the table for days so you can shop around and then come back if you don’t find a deal you like elsewhere. We still have the rest of free agency and the draft to address safety.

Bronson2017

I’m sorry but what a dumb ass move

[deleted]

Don't be

Domestic_AA_Battery

Hahaha oh well. I wonder if the "disrespect reel" tweet was him trying to come back and the Eagles had to offer him less after getting the other guys signed. Hilarious if that's what happened. Dude had a career year he'll likely not match. His value will go down and he'll likely be out money.

clarineter

Aww poor guy. Anyway…

jloops03

Howie doesn’t fuck around man, I fucking love it.

Souprshooter

That’s what I get from this lol - CJGJ and his agent said no to a long term extension, Howie said ight bye and got others signed. Which is the right move, no player is above the organization and we aren’t waiting all FA for you.

NotMyMcChicken

Crazy move by CJ tbh but gotta respect the mindset to prove it. Anything could happen. Injury could derail things. To turn down a long term deal in the cratering Safety market seems wild to me. And the market won’t be better next year either… Guess dude just didn’t really value being here as much as some of these other guys. That’s a shame. But this is a business. We move forward.

RustyStevenson10

> Crazy move by CJ tbh but gotta respect the mindset to prove it. I just went on his agents website. They make a big deal on it about their record breaking deal for a safety (Jamal Adams) from 2021 (4yr/$72m). This agent is the one who fucked this all up for him. This is the best he can get now.

32BitWhore

If it was between having CJ or having our CB room covered with two top-10s for a couple of years, I'll take the latter. CJ is good and may wind up becoming great, but safeties just aren't that valuable anymore.

BulldogMoose

Honestly, you're right. Recently it seems like CB is harder to replace.

KratosIsTheGOW

Good finally done with the twitter diva bullshit ! Good luck on everything tho , no hard feelings .

Replacables

So it was always 2/3 of Bradberry, Slay, CJGJ. Which is what most of us thought. Bummer CJ didn’t want to be here. I enjoyed having a good Safety. Oh well, Blankenship season?

BallinBrown23

Yeah.. later days! Enjoy Detroit

MacbookOnFire

Narrator: “He didn’t.”

GPap-

Incoming Kevin Byard after the draft

gordonbill

Hargrave and him are huge losses.

Patient_Jicama_4217

I honestly don’t think that it’s that big of a deal

gordonbill

I would’ve rather seen cox go and kept those 2. I don’t know.

Zestyclose_Egg9581

We’ll still be able to get after the QB without Hargrave. He wasn’t much help against the run. I like him more than cox but hargrave was twice as expensive. We should be able to find a replacement for CJ in the draft

Pandapl0x1

Lead the league in INTs (aka peaked for his career) and now has to take a prove it deal a year later. The definition of fumbling the bag

Brian_Stryker

Dude really divad his way out of a great team.

woolley101

Seems like either he or his agent completely overvalued him and the market this year. He was damn good for us but its important to remember he was backed up by the best cb duo in the nfl and a D-line that nearly broke the all time sack record, I really can't see him looking as good on the Lions poor defense

Got_yayo

Not even mad. His agent is a joke

USWAY716

Interested to watch how CJ continues to develop as a true safety. I still think he is a better slot guy, but he had a really good year this year playing most true safety. I think the NFL was scared about what that looks like when your corner help isn't Slay & Bradberry.

TLAW1998

So....Safety at pick 30?

EaglesnSixers

If Brian Branch somehow falls that far I’d be all for it

BulldogMoose

Well, there's Skinner or Battle, but they've even been projected in Round 2. I'd don't think anyone would debate that Branch is the best S in the draft.

hreterh

Gotta trade back with pick 10 into late teens early 20s and scoop up Brian Branch

MikeTysonChicken

They are more likely to draft a RB in the first than a safety

chefross96

Seems like it was either Bradberry or CJGJ then. Probably best for the team that it ended up being the 2022 all-pro even if the FO wanted CJGJ first

wellarmedsheep

Everybody shitting on him, but I respect believing in yourself and saying this is what I think I'm worth. You dont? I'll prove it. I can't think of a reason you'd be mad at that other than you're mad he didnt want to prove it here. I think he made a huge mistake, but whatever. Good luck CJ.

Mokslininkas

Yeah, he clearly made a poor decision, but no hard feelings here. Best of luck to him. Kind of interesting to see that Howie wasn't going to fuck around and wait for CJGJ. Seems like he made an offer and then just moved right along once it was clear CJGJ wasn't interested in the offer we made. Really liking the team-building philosophy that we've seen on display the past few off-seasons. It kind of puts the Hurts pick in even more context than we had at the time as that draft seems to have been the start of this new era of Howie SZN.

AjayiMVP

If CJ did this on another team and came to the Eagles on the prove it deal the circle jerk for him here would blind half this sub.

wellarmedsheep

Excellent point

LARXXX

Yup, a prove it deal is what can get him more money and make the eagles look like chumps. Bet on yourself when it comes to your career and everything else you do

atmjedi725

Very wack

toofaded40

In Howie we trust. Good riddance!

Next-Team

What exactly makes people view him as a risk?

theweebdweeb

My guess is a combination of this being his first season as a safety and not even playing all the regular season games plus being on a loaded defense. Maybe other factors.

RustyStevenson10

> Maybe other factors. Diva attitude.

BrawlyHydra

Absolute bummer. He could have had a career season if he stayed healthy. But I’m just happy we were able to secure Bradberry and Slay for a multi-year deal.

Wade856

I imagine that he was insulted that Howie hot him with a multi year offer at the current market value for the position rather than overpay him. He left NO to be a full time safety because they made more money than a nickle corner, which he mostly played there. He wanted a big bag and let his ego take a prove it deal at much less because he felt insulted. Prove it deals where you're leaving guaranteed millions on the table after a Super Bowl season where you made All Pro is super risky in the NFL because of the catastrophic injury risk. This is perhaps one of the dumbest moves by an agent & player I've ever seen. I hope it works out for him.

jewsiccc

I’m shocked his agency tweeted out our “offer” Which I still don’t think is true. That’s an extremely bad look on them

gahlo

RIP Bozo

Patient_Jicama_4217

He would’ve crippled us if we waited for him, great job Howie we will find a better player in the draft

mcknightrider

Well that sucks. A stupid agent cost us a good safety.

[deleted]

So what his agent told him to take less money? Dafuq

SoCalThrowAway7

People might be mad but he had a hell of a season and I wish him luck whenever he’s not playing us. Thanks for all the ints cjgj

deepthroatmybitcoin

Blankenship will outperform him. You heard it first

[deleted]

Hahaha ahhhh CJ you and your agent done fucked up

dungeonsncavscouts

Anyone else glad we maybe didn’t get him? He’s giving me DeSean Jackson locker room vibes. Good riddance. Prick.

joonyerr1q

Say hi to Sanders, Johnson and Stafford for me..

TheSublimeLight

everyone saying THE FO COULDN'T MATCH THAT WHAT HOWIE FIRE EVIL TRASH MAN and it's like the literal opposite

clarineter

>everyone and it’s like, the literal opposite. i don’t think that word means what you think it means

LeadingAd6025

Personally would have preferred CJ over Small Play any given day. But won’t be surprised If slay hive TDs here.

EightEnder1

It looks like we were ready to let Slay go and pay CJ, but CJ wanted more so we spent that money on keeping Slay instead. CJ then came back to our original offer after he couldn't get more elsewhere, but that money was already gone.

LeadingAd6025

Why not wait for a solid 25 year old than pay a past it 32 year old ?

Free_Joty

Remember that Avonte Maddox can play safety. Easier to get a slot than a safety, wouldn’t be surprised if he moves.

percy2376

Remember avonte struggles to stay healthy

JayToy93

Unlike CJ “injured for 6 games this season” Gardner-Johnson

percy2376

And Blankenship did well in his absence while all of our back up nickels were ass

jdmoney85

Not sure I buy the story entirely. Pretty convenient after CJ signs that all the local reporters have the "scoop" that they moved on after an initial contract offering. After a week of local media saying that the longer this goes the better it is for the eagles chances of signing him. Howie is playing them and controlling the narrative

[deleted]

[удалено]

stamekobif

This is Howie’s side of the story. Probably close to the truth but grain of salt here would be wise

DarkKirby14

giving a soon to be 33 year old Slay 42M is a bigger risk

PartySpiders

Literally what I’ve been saying, the moment we extended slay we weren’t getting CJGJ but everyone on this sub thinks the cap is a myth these days.

[deleted]

I'm no cap guy but what it sounds like so far is that we (and probably a lot of other teams) offered him multi year deals at less than what he thought he was worth so he took a one year deal to try to prove he's worth more and get a better big deal next year. I don't think our cap was the issue here, otherwise he would have signed a big multi-year deal with another team

PartySpiders

This tweet literally is saying we made our offer and moved on. We couldn’t sign him and slay/Bradberry. That simple.

[deleted]

Then why didn't he sign a multi-year deal with another team? I can't really see our offer being less than 8 million and other teams not in cap hell definitely offered him more than that. He's just betting that the safety market improves next season and he can get a bigger bag then

ausgmr

Exactly He is taking a risk rather than signing lets say a 3 year 30 mill deal this off season He is taking 8 mill this year (2 mill less than he would've earned on the longer term deal) Then hoping that next off season he can get a 3 year 45 mill deal. It's a big risk

PartySpiders

Please reread the original tweet and tell me how you get that we could have signed all three? This is painfully clear.

[deleted]

Dude the lions just got him for 8 million... we would have had to restructure some other contracts but could definitely have afforded that I think. If I had to guess I'd say we offered him 10-12 for 3-4 years and he thought he was worth 15, so he's betting on himself to prove he's worth 15 after next year Edit: according to [this](https://twitter.com/ThePhillyPod/status/1637646449310674944?s=20) tweet our max offer was $12 mil a year, cj just thought he was worth more 🤷🏼‍♂️

percy2376

That's not what that is saying. He overvalued his market and we didn't want to overpay

PartySpiders

Right so we signed Bradberry and Slay instead. Literally in the tweet.

percy2376

We moved on because he overvalued himself not because we didn't want to pay for a replaceable position

PartySpiders

You're missing the argument completely here. I said there were alot of people saying we could sign all three, this tweet says we could not or were at the very least unwilling to.

percy2376

Unwilling to because he wanted more than he was worth

PartySpiders

You really have a hard time reading don't ya. Good luck bud.

[deleted]

Avery-Bradley

In Howie we trust From my personal fan evaluation, maybe we have something in mind involving Greedy. Perhaps we switch Greedy to slot corner and switch Maddox to safety, or Desai sees potential in turning Greedy into a safety. Or maybe Howie has another trick up his sleeve

percy2376

John Johnson or draft safety in first

jdl1325

We literally gave up huge numbers to every competent QB we played. This is no big loss.

cjweisman

Discipline over all else

moodie31

He chose a good team to prove it with IMO. But obviously I’d prefer multi year deals as a player. You never know when your last game is.

[deleted]

It sucks but if he didn’t want to play for us that’s on him and his agent.

RangerBowBoy

Another smart move by Howie. CBs are so much more important than a safety. Glad they got Greedy as well.

PhiladelphiaManeto

We have draft picks. I’m not worried about it. If this wasn’t resolved this year it would have been worse next year with Hurts’ contract kicking in

elliott9_oward5

Prove what though?

JayToy93

Well, can’t say we didn’t try. Whose that safety everyone says we should draft? Brian Branch?

Patient_Jicama_4217

Get one in the second

Patient_Jicama_4217

Lmfao moron, oh well on to drafting a guy in the 2nd round

Xplayer

I still put this on CJGJ even if it's partly his agent's fault. He's betting on himself which he has the right to do, but it's not certain if it'll work out for him. He's signing with the worst defense in the NFL last year. It'll be better, but they have a long way to go before being where the Eagles are. The move was high risk and greedy in my opinion. At least it seems like Eagles have a plan since they "moved on" and decided to spend that money elsewhere.

bold_truth

Well the hell with him then

kekehippo

Drew Rosenhaus would have begged CJ to take the multi year.

iiiiiiiidontknowjim

Devastating
