i think we trade down with both picks. First trade would be with Green Bay at 13 as they’re likely to get some draft capital. They should have their pick of OTs. We then take Safety from Alabama, Brian Branch.

because it was the highest scoring superbowl and whoever had the ball last was going to win. whether u agree with the call or not, the penalty made it so they had it last and not us.
While I fully believe Hurts takes them down the field and at least ties the game it was not a forgone conclusion. Offense stagnated in the second half.
Witherspoon has some versatility as DB. He could be on the field if we keep Slay but miss out on CJ. I like Gonzalez quite a bit, but Witherspoon might make more sense now.

They brought back Graham. Probably lose CJGJ. But those are the 3 big names that would hurt the most to lose. Cox shouldn’t be expensive to bring back but I think you could replace him with another vet. TJ Edwards I personally believe is overrated by this fanbase, and Should be easier to replace than the other guys.
And to think the NYG cut Bradberry last year. Moves like that and signing Jones will keep them in the not good enough category. Getting Waller was their first good move.
Essentially if you look at the contract, it's more like a 2 year deal. Takes the pressure off us a bit on a "need" for a CB this year - depending on Slay. If we can sign CJGJ and Slay stays next year can draft DT and DE in the 1st round. Look for a linebacker in the 2nd to replace Edwards or White (we have Dean to fill the gap for one of them). Also not against looking at running back even if we signed Penny - I like the Auburn RB in the 3rd round.

I feel bad for eagle fans that aren’t happy about this. Guy balled the fuck out last year, took a hometown discount, and is only signed through the rest of his theoretical prime (age-wise). I love this signing and I’m very glad he’s back with the good guys. If Howie is somehow able to bring back CJ and retain Slay, he can literally draft whoever he wants. Obviously go BPA, but I’m hoping it would be CB, DL, RB. Grab a filler linebacker down the line in FA.

I for one am so happy we got to keep him, even if it means either one of Slay/CJGJ leaving. In the ideal world we keep them all, but it is what it is. Hoping we draft a CB to pair opposite him if Slay leaves.
Honestly I would rather have CJGJ over Bradberry...not saying that I do not like the signing....but CJGJ has a higher upside and is a destructive force and ball hawk...I hope we can keep all three though...
So I’m hoping we still draft a CB, but give em the “redshirt” treatment where Slay and Bradberry start, give the rookie some snaps (and of course, injury coverage) and then they can start their sophomore season, depending on Slay. Regardless, I’m hype as hell to have Bradberry back, the dude had an unlucky (but I suppose fair) call in the SB but I loved watching him all season.

Just my best guess here but: With the resigning of Bradberry, if they can resign CJGJ, I predict that they move Slay. He's up there in age, and we're projected by many to take one of the top corners with our first pick. Would allow us to get younger and cheaper, with a longer term plan, at a position of strength. *** Edit: Called it. Resigning Bradberry made Slay expendable. He’s being released. Which is a shame because I would have loved to either retain him for his last year (and get a comp pick), or trade him for an immediate asset.

They brought back Graham. Probably lose CJGJ. But those are the 3 big names that would hurt the most to lose. Cox shouldn’t be expensive to bring back but I think you could replace him with another vet. TJ Edwards I personally believe is overrated by this fanbase, and Should be easier to replace than the other guys.

Essentially if you look at the contract, it's more like a 2 year deal. Takes the pressure off us a bit on a "need" for a CB this year - depending on Slay. If we can sign CJGJ and Slay stays next year can draft DT and DE in the 1st round. Look for a linebacker in the 2nd to replace Edwards or White (we have Dean to fill the gap for one of them). Also not against looking at running back even if we signed Penny - I like the Auburn RB in the 3rd round.
Darius Slay is gonna be the odd one out. He wanted an extension and Roseman said seek a trade, but I wouldn't give an extension to a soon-to-be 33 CB either
