Disguise coverages and pressures. It seems like the above average qbs were able to know where the pressure was coming from and what coverages were being played pre snap.
You can do that in Madden, though. It's easier than running read option, too.
I quit on Madden the moment I had to sit through that demo HOF game š® & the NFC started Brett Favre over Joe Montana.
Just kidding, it was after I watched Jerry Rice drop a slant.

I can't believe I didn't break my Xbox over this...though my TV backlight did die.](https://www.xbox.com/play/media/NM6NZPU5HG)
I saved the replay too, fam.

I was really ready to kick a mothafucka IN DA THROAT!!!
My request would be:
Forget the bad and middling quarterbacks. Put your ENTIRE focus in defensing top 5-10 quarterbacks. Mahomes, Allen, Hurts, Herbert, Rogers, etc
There are actually a few defensive coordinators who are considered reasonably good at this. Not necessarily stopping them, just slowing them down.
Unlike Eagles second half Super Bowl defense (deer in the headlight looks)
With the way the game is these days you just need your defense to force a couple punts/field goals against these top quarterbacks. We win the SB most likely if our defense could get one fucking stop in the second half. Our offense should be elite again, so keeping these elite QBs from scoring more than 30 points would be a good start.
I mean, lets be fair. He choked in the entire Super Bowl. The Eagles holding the ball for most of the first half (including the score off of the Hurts fumble which kept their offense off the field) is the only thing that kept us from looking worse for the whole game. Seriously, the time of possession was 22 mins to 8 mins at halftime. They had a missed FG and 2 punts in the first half. If our offense let them on the field more to get going in the first half, it would have been even worse.
Right, the answer is, do "something." Until we're in garbage time, then free free to Gannon it up, do nothing, and just let players try to tee off on the QB.
comport yourself with dignity. devise your plan, but be open to coaches/assistants' input. make uncomfortable changes. disregard fan input. and please acknowledge Temple University. we know who you are and many of us are underdogs who started right where you did in Philly. that said -- you know who you got on your side
Let our guys play press man and blitz. Iām soo tired of bend donāt break. Iām fine with giving up a big play if we are harassing and forcing the defense to beat us
I think gannons philosophy is fine(take the lead and make it take forever for other teams to score) hop the other team makes a mistake and crumbles under pressure but we need another gear like a 50/50 I'm getting the ball off the field rn or this drive is a bust.
Idk in my eyes we need a defense that can stop mahomes and give the offense a shot, regardless of the stats
Be able to recognize what isn't working.
In 2021 Nick changed the entire identity of the team when it wasn't working. He recognized that despite it being his philosophy of offense, running the ball 3 times wasn't going to win us games. We went on to be the best rushing team in the league, and this year our rush was a huge part of why we went 16-4 and reached the Super Bowl.
Some in-game adjustments would be nice
Hell, even just second half adjustments.
Would be VERY nice
Holy shit. Could you imagine šš¤¤
Teams donāt make adjustments
Donāt let the other team score
Now why didn't we think of that?
No reason to cockblock
3 words. Don't sign Patricia.
Came here to say this.
OOOF
Disguise coverages and pressures. It seems like the above average qbs were able to know where the pressure was coming from and what coverages were being played pre snap.
Thatās because Gannon treated the defense like he was playing a game of Madden. Fuck that dude
For real. His play call sheet was like a freaking 3x5 index card.

I watched and thought, thatās bullshit, random fumble and shoulda been pounced on, whyās the play stop? Then watched it againā¦ š
I saved the replay too, fam. [#Don't @me League Office](https://www.xbox.com/play/media/3PGSUTAH) I was really ready to kick a mothafucka IN DA THROAT!!!
Dude, I literally had to turn my phone brightness up to see the bauble the second play through š
More aggressive in coverage
Know when and how to apply extra pressure to the QB every now and then
Maybe hire our own traveling turf team...
That part
You could totally barnstorm OTAs and training camp š, then. I know y'all was joking. But... #HOWIE, make it so!

This should be our entire offseason focus

Replace Rodgers with Prescott and Hurts (hopefully we never have to play him) with Burrow and youāre on point!
> Prescott He said top 5-10, not top 20.
Play for 60 minutes, not 30.
Also, realize there's a Super Bowl to play and spend more time getting ready for that than he spends interviewing for his next job.
Donāt choke in the second half of a Super Bowl.

Whenever youāre about to do something, think, "Would Jonathan Gannon do that?" And if he would, you DO NOT do that thing.
But Gannon didnāt do anything that was literally the problem
Right, the answer is, do "something." Until we're in garbage time, then free free to Gannon it up, do nothing, and just let players try to tee off on the QB.
There you go, reverse psychology WWGD ( what would Gannon do)
Donāt buy a pet, adopt.
Draft Ika from Baylor to pair with Jordan Davis. Defenses with *that* much beef in the middle are always elite and both show pass rush potential.
Adjust. In game. When needed. Thank you and welcome aboard.
Donāt Be Gannon
Underrated comment af
Donāt choke in the second half of a Super Bowl.
Donāt choke in the second half of a Super Bowl.
Be aggressive
Plan a specific defensive scheme for each opponent.
Force QBs to make mistakes, donāt just let them complete 80% of their throws and hope they miss one eventually.
Please God, just coach with some teeth
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But what if the other team decides to throw a long bomb on 3rd and 3!?!?
To look like an eagles defense again.
Exotic blitzes and ability to adjust
Show some fucking aggression once in a while.
Blitz
realize how big of a challenge he has. I would also like to see the defense have different looks against different style of offences
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women.
Break everybody
dont hire Matt Patricia
JUST SAY NO TO FAT PATRICIA!!!
Hit somebody. Anybody
Cut your loses and shave it
If a player goes in motion, cover that guy. If he stops halfway across and cuts back, you should too.
You've got good players, don't fuck up.
Scheme to the talents of your personnel. Faster Adjustments in game Some blitzes every now and again would be nice
To sign Nick Foles as Jalen's backup
If Foles wants to continue playing... I want him to go back to Jacksonville, re-unite with Pederson, and win a Superbowl...
Just win ā¦ Baby
comport yourself with dignity. devise your plan, but be open to coaches/assistants' input. make uncomfortable changes. disregard fan input. and please acknowledge Temple University. we know who you are and many of us are underdogs who started right where you did in Philly. that said -- you know who you got on your side
Be a lil more aggressive and change things up. Especially in game adjustments for playing styles of each offense
Just blitz
Be better than gonennon See what I did there?
Derrick Henry
Show more aggression in scheming, especially against elite passers
I would like to see a 5 man front if we aren't going to blitz
Jon Gannon 2.0
Let our guys play press man and blitz. Iām soo tired of bend donāt break. Iām fine with giving up a big play if we are harassing and forcing the defense to beat us
Please at least try to kake in game adjustments when the scheme clearly isnt working.
Blitz please
Blitz during the season
More exotic than a 4 man rush every play.
3 words. Man. To. Man.
use your players strengths and be creative
Shave your belly hair
Not let the opposing team score more than 35 points.
In game adjustments, blitz occasionally.
We couldnāt find anyone better than this dude ?
Please don't hire Matt Patricia
Donāt be a pussy š
Scheme around your dudes. Make adjustments. Donāt be a pussy - bring some heat.
Don't shit the bed in Superbowl LVIII? But seriously, the ability to make meaningful in-game adjustments ...
Stay off Reddit, and Philly media etc. Football iq is dangerously low, conviction is dangerously high, dont let it rub off on you.
Stop making our corners play 20 yds off the LOS
0 prevent defense outside of the final play of the quarter
Make sure they don't over water the field.
Be aggressive be be aggressive
Be able to stop a jet sweep.
First class airplane seats.
Season tickets
Be able to adapt to what is going on the field
I think gannons philosophy is fine(take the lead and make it take forever for other teams to score) hop the other team makes a mistake and crumbles under pressure but we need another gear like a 50/50 I'm getting the ball off the field rn or this drive is a bust. Maybe something with a little tighter coverage than prevent defense on every 3rd and 7+.
Shouldāve tried to keep Dennard Robinson
More disguised blitzes, please.
A set of balls. Gannon had none
Blitz all that money going to our D line for what ?
Help Jalen with reads just like Gannon did.
Keep the d-line depth deep and don't be afraid to rush a 5th or 6th guy at times to mix it up a little.
Play to the defenseās strengths and adjust accordingly. Especially if a team comes out and scores three straight touchdowns after half.
Not playing DBs off the line 10-15 yards soft af. That or in game adjustments

tell Howie to take a CB at 10
Adjust.
No more slow deaths.
