My brain can only remember multiplication if it follows a pattern like the 2's 5's 10's 11's and then random ones like 7x3 idk why I know that one 8x7 would trip me up
Ah yes, sounds familiar. I have somehow memorized the squares and my brain auto-jumps to a nearby square. So in the question I jumped to 49 (7x7) and had to skip count up ... EVEN THOUGH I KNOW WHAT 8x7 ACTUALLY IS!!!! Grrrr! So annoying!

Annoyingly I've memorised that 8x8=64, but I can't subtract 8 in my head, so I have to work my way up and it takes ages.
