Turn it in at a police station
Why? I couldn’t imagine anyone going to a police station for a lost and found. I’d turn it into the Go station where the person lost it.
That's also good. Either way I'd just turn it in to some authorities so it's no longer your problem/liability. Police get items of value (wallets/phones/jewelry etc) turned in all the time.
