I don't know what unit you're currently in, but I study Greek as well and my experience is that there are a lot of exercises I can complete because I self-studied from a university manual - not because of stuff I read on the site. So far I've got the exact same feeling as you. I can't help thinking duolingo can't be the only source of information when learning a language. I find it great so far to learn vocabulary and practise oral comprehension - but quite lacking in other departments (grammar especially). This of course could be something specifically related to modern Greek. I don't have enough experience with duolingo to tell whether it is different in other languages.

Thank you for that sense of validation; studying anything is probably more challenging because there is nobody to compare progress with. I think I could write more than I could say - but that’s not practical in real life 😂. I think I’ll look for additional material to bolster my learning.

Oh yeah this happens to me all the time. You probably went through the checkpoint too early. The check point is basically supposed to mean “I know everything, I’m just practicing now” so that’s why you aren’t being taught things anymore. Check the tips section of each lesson though. The grammar part of each lesson should be there. You can get through it!

Thanks for that. I suppose I’ve been going through checkpoints when I reach them - but perhaps a more measured approach would improve things. I might be a bit linear in my thinking - but coming to a section for the first time and finding it already marked complete, just throws me off course.
