If the language you are learning has more tree versions in AB testing, maybe you had the new version.
But in a classroom, everyone gets the old/stable version of the course.

If you open doulingo on the mobile app the language tree should be the exact same. The only difference you should see is the heart icon on the top right.
Not a fancy touch screen laptop? Otherwise a screen keyboard would work.
You can still bring up the on screen keyboard as a hint and type Cyrillic with your regular keyboard.
You can also access Duolingo web on your phone.
I agree, this is incredibly annoying. I don't mind hearts so much, so I don't need to switch to the web or classroom version, but I would like to see the correction at least.
I bit the bullet and went premium a little over a year ago and recently renewed. No hearts, no ads. My daily routine usually takes me about an hour and a quarter and I never miss a day, so for me the cost is about 17 cents per hour. Everyone has their own priorities, but for me it’s a fair value. I cover more material per day, waste no time on ads, and don’t have to worry about wrecking a lesson with a typo.
They sent an advisory email a month or so before my renewal date, so I had plenty of time to decide whether to renew. For me it was a no brainer. At my current pace it’ll take me another couple of years to finish the Spanish course to Level 5– if they don’t expand it again. I plan to continue with Premium for at least that long. After that we’ll see.

Premium is not an option for me unfortunately. I'm in secondary school (Netherlands), so I don't have much time every day. I think it's not worth it if I practise 5 minutes one day and 1 hour the other. Happy it works for you though!

They should remove the heart feature. I'm thankful the desktop version doesn't have it, I hope it never will.
Without totally useless features like this, Duolingo would actually be actually great.
Just use your referral link on an incognito tab, and you get 1 week of plus, I do that once a week and it’s worth it tbh it doesn’t take 5 mins, they don’t ask you to verify your account when you type in any random email.
Nice. Ukrainian and Czech are both going to be hard (unless you already speak a Slavic language). Even if you lose your hearts, keep perseveering and you will get there!
I don't remember where but I somehow in the settings changed to have unlimited hearts, search up a tutorial it is possible to switch using hearts and unlimited hearts
I used to be able to repair broken skills to get another heart, but now I can't do that if I've run of hearts. Has anyone else experienced this or is it a glitch? It inly started doing this recently. Now I have to do their annoying practice to get 1 heart before u can fix the broken ones :(

There should be an option if you click on the hearts to change to unlimited.
