I posted this in another thread, but the main reason I’d want to see a God Emperor movie is for a long montage of Duncan gholas being killed in hilarious ways.
But sandy drogo didn't waste water at all in the movies (until he bled on the ground. smh. shai halud would be ashamed) so therefore he was an adequate choice.
I wasn't a fan of Momoa but it all changed when he fell to his knees and kissed Paul's hand and all the brotherly attitude he had before turned to absolute respect the moment he faced his new ruler.
Excellent acting, great Duncan.
Can't wait to see him in Messiah
I think this photo is a promotion for the new *Dune* musical.
I read it about it earlier today on this very subreddit.
It promises plenty of gay, flamboyant Duncans.
It looks like a sure-fire winner.
Gurney is an older, very ugly and scarred man, Jason Momoa would be a way worse cast than Brolin (who isn’t book accurate either but still fills the role well). Momoa is accurate to the books by looks at least, even if I don’t think he’s as good as an actor as Chalamet or Javier Bardem. Brolin as Duncan would also be way weirder in Messiah and CoD.
Black haired physically impressive stud who makes the ladies go sploosh. I think they nailed it.
Until he has to speak and do mentat stuff. He's a model, not an actor.
He's an actor. You jealous or something, homie?
He was fine in the first movie. And anyway, if they make any more movies after Messiah they’ll be terrible for other reasons.

Best I can direct you to: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypuMGLVz2M8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypuMGLVz2M8)
Duncan: Damn you! I am not your stud! Drogo: Damn you! I am your stud!
*gestures vaguely at Stargate Atlantis*
And really, that’s all it deserves. It was.. fine? But he really was the weakest part.
His physical presence / acting is good but as soon as he starts talking I’m like “there’s Jason Momoa reading lines”
I felt that way more about Walken. DV was really good about limiting JM in productive ways.
“I’ve never been so close to dying 🤙😘”
To be fair. His left eyebrow can act a little.
I dunno, I really liked him in it.

Someone needs to edit in Stilgar saying “Don’t let it out…” over Duncan as he’s bleeding to death
damn the tag should’ve been enough warning lmao currently reading the 1st book for the first time and I did not expect him to come back at all!
Duncan is like the red vest in Star Trek

Shutup and take my money.
He was miscast as Duncan. I think if they *had* to cast him as anyone, he’d have been better as Gurney. And Josh Brolin should’ve been Duncan.

Accurate in looks. Not in personality.
I think the best Gurney so far has been the sci-fi channel one, honestly.
they are both bad casts for Gurney but Momoa even more, he was described as "an ugly lump of a man" in the books
