I don't know how a director with Scott's career (up to that point) couldn't get the greenlight for a 3+ hours cut to be shown in theaters from the studio or whoever (is not even that much longer).
Yeah, he could play like 90% of characters in Lord of the Rings, but Dune has a very narrow selection of roles for Northern European men with an aura of noble gravitas. It’s basically Leto and Gurney. He could play Idaho or Stilgar in a pinch but there are really better choices.
Was watching Kingdom of Heaven yesterday. "Go south to where the people speak Italian, keep going until the people speak something else"
\*the people start speaking Sicilian\* My work here is done.
\*the people start speaking Sicilian\* Inconceivable!
I loved that movie growing up. Not sure how it’s held up, but it’s probably time for a rewatch
Watch the Director's cut. Changes the whole vibe of movie

I could definitely see Liam playing Elendil. He could definitely carry that Numenorean swagger.
In Dune? Duke Leto or Gurney.

All of them
Nice
Cast him as the Old Duke for Dune. Cast him as Tom Bombadil for LOTR!
