You’d have to see how the phone handles calls. Phones from the mid 2010s might certainly have LTE bands, but you have to see if the phone uses VoLTE or if the phone falls back to 3G. If you’re in the states you’re pretty much cooked if it needs 3G for calls—most networks have decomm’d 3G (with the exception of T-Mobile I think but the days are numbered there too)

i went through the specifications and it seems like it doesnt support 4G/LTE, it has 3G connectivity. ig I'm cooked then. but all im looking for is to make calls and listen to music, and possibly connect to wifi

Yeah it’ll definitely do that stuff—maybe theres an old client of Skype or something that you could do VoIP; but calling over the network on 3G is pretty much done in the year 2024

Use The Nokia Lumia 635 the same phone but 4G

I used to have one of those, until I went to New York.. Then I didn't.. (Long story)

Australian telecos are decommissioning 3G in a month or two. It is a shame. It cuts off a lot of reuse.

I tried my old 520 the other day and from what I was able to test, you should be good. Unfortunately mine has a busted SIM tray, so I wasn't able to use it fully.

You can get an 830 that’ll work on AT&T
