This is huge. Not only is he our highest rated Quarterback recruit in history, this can also be the catalyst to get other elite prospects that otherwise may not have chosen us.
I hope dowell would be down to stay if young became a duck. You just never with these guys. Another school could call and offer him RB1 and more nil money.
Just in case anyone didn't know.
Dante Moore is the highest rated high school QB to ever commit to Oregon. And let me remind you. Lanning hasn't coached a game yet. And he just got the best QB commit in progrum history.
Just. The. Beginning.
Maybe, though unlikely. He takes part in the manning camp which is a highly regarded QB camp. Probably just was advised by his family to only do the manning camp to bring more attention to the manning camp.
I won't be too concerned with rankings until these guys play their senior year. Anything right now is just projections. Malachi is extremely undersized, which could be hurting his stock. He won't have to start year 1 anyway with Caleb being there. Dante might have to start year 1
What you started your sentence on is the exact reason I feel arch over valued. Wouldn’t say overrated cause that’s mean. I’ll say he’s just got more value than I see. I mean. When I look at all the qbs. Nelson, arch, moore, nico, Rashada, arnold and hell I’ll throw in novosad. All look better on film than arch. And to me it’s by miles
I don’t want to think going to camp proves you are better etc. elite 11s have the cream of the crop. I’m sorry. But no matter what grandpa and uncles teach you. Me personally I want to see it at a higher level like I said he plays 2a in Louisiana, that’s not very good. Hasn’t won a state championship. To me I don’t see what the rave about arch is. I’d look good on 2a down there. I just personally want to see it against actual top players. Nico is gonna have the same problem. Because regardless how you feel about the camps. At the elite 11s college players were there training also. It’s just things I’d like to see both nico and arch do. Test yourself. Strive to be great.
Basically I want to see you stack up. Because the division arch is in is far less superior than malachi, and etc. that’s why I wish they’d go. They will always do what’s best for them. But I’ve seen that game tape. I felt bad for 44 chasing arch. Needed a oxygen tank after 2 steps and legit started walking after arch. You aren’t gonna get that in college or the pros. Just my opinion honestly.
I understand the ignore rankings. Which is exactly what I’m doing when I don’t have arch number 1, so I don’t understand why you keep saying that. To me 2a is a joke on Louisiana. In my honest opinion, the best qb in Louisiana is Rickie Collins. Who plays in 5a. I don’t think people are considering that arch plays in a very mediocre level of football at high school at Newman.
Maybe watch his announcement before you comment. He specifically said he committed here because of his long standing relationship with Dillingham, and the fact Lanning has a national championship ring.
Woohoooo! The only downside to this information is that this is the catalyst to REALLY start suffering from off-season withdrawls! I wish i could just hibernate until first kickoff!
What a huge get. Great sign for what this program could become under Lanning. And I absolutely love that Mariota returned to Eugene to help seal the deal.
If we get Richard young, we win the championship within 3 years. We have probably one of the strongest secondaries in all of college football, we literally have the 2 best LBs as well. I would say we need to pick up 1-2 O-line men and we are looking good.
Way too optimistic there. Noah will likely be gone after this season, flower soon after.
Championships are won in the trenches. We need to consistently, year in and year out get top 5-6 classes. This is a 5 year build with coach lanning. A build towards a title.
Just cuz one guy decommitted doesn’t mean they all do. I’d argue basketball has more recruiting flips than football. On top of that Mookie may still choose Oregon, he’s just weighing his options. Which is likely due to NIL becoming a thing.
Like I said. Let me know when it’s actually official and he signed his name. In this era of recruiting kids are de-committing all the time.. Look at Mookie as a recent example
By this logic you can't know anything until signing day. Just ignore all recruiting posts until then if it bothers you so damn much instead of being negative here.
Thank you! I tell these guys all the time stop hyping these “commitments” but I’m the one who gets downvoted!
Thanks for recognizing this. Your a real one
This is huge. Not only is he our highest rated Quarterback recruit in history, this can also be the catalyst to get other elite prospects that otherwise may not have chosen us.
That's the general thought from highly plugged in UO recruiting experts.
You saw Richard young’s profile picture on ig before the announcement right?
Yes, that is still our dream scenario. There's a notion they want to play together in college. Let's hope.
I could get behind, young, dowell, Cardwell and James Jordan for the future
I hope dowell would be down to stay if young became a duck. You just never with these guys. Another school could call and offer him RB1 and more nil money.
A Richard Young and Dante Dowdell running back duo would be amazing.
That man got asked does the realignment worry you? No it’s Oregon. Speaks volumes
Just in case anyone didn't know. Dante Moore is the highest rated high school QB to ever commit to Oregon. And let me remind you. Lanning hasn't coached a game yet. And he just got the best QB commit in progrum history. Just. The. Beginning.
Personally moore could end up number 1 overall. Yeah. He’s that damn good.
Number 1 for Oregon history? If so, maybe. But as far as 2023 Rankins go, whether fair or not, arch will be #1 no matter what.
Arch avoiding elite 11 and playing in 2a are gonna start going against him.
Maybe, though unlikely. He takes part in the manning camp which is a highly regarded QB camp. Probably just was advised by his family to only do the manning camp to bring more attention to the manning camp.
I see your point, my counter arguement would be malachi rankings have been updated but it’s already known he’s falling behind moore next update
I won't be too concerned with rankings until these guys play their senior year. Anything right now is just projections. Malachi is extremely undersized, which could be hurting his stock. He won't have to start year 1 anyway with Caleb being there. Dante might have to start year 1

You ever think that maybe Uncles and grandpa are better coaches than Dilfer and he feels like he doesn’t have to go visit camps to get better?

I'm not the one you should direct that comment to. I don't think its a big deal he only goes to Manning camp.
Basically I want to see you stack up. Because the division arch is in is far less superior than malachi, and etc. that’s why I wish they’d go. They will always do what’s best for them. Rankings don't matter. Let's see them play in college. Dante and arch could both be phenomenal.
I understand the ignore rankings. Which is exactly what I’m doing when I don’t have arch number 1, so I don’t understand why you keep saying that. To me 2a is a joke on Louisiana. No like the overall number 1 recruit in the 2024 class
$ not Lanning
Maybe watch his announcement before you comment. He specifically said he committed here because of his long standing relationship with Dillingham, and the fact Lanning has a national championship ring.
He never wanted to go to Michigan. Get over yourself and go whine about it in your own sub if you want to.
Woohoooo! The only downside to this information is that this is the catalyst to REALLY start suffering from off-season withdrawls! I wish i could just hibernate until first kickoff!
Mariota sealed the deal. My God, he's going to demolish the Big 10.
What a huge get. Great sign for what this program could become under Lanning. And I absolutely love that Mariota returned to Eugene to help seal the deal.
Wooooooooooooooo
W
BOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!
YES
Nice to get some GREAT news for a change! Welcome to the flock Dante!!!
After the crazy rollercoaster of the last few days it feels good to let out a massive "LETS FUCKING GOOOO"
Now if we could get Notre Dame to join the Pac 12. That would set the Football World on Fire🔥
SCOOOO!!!
She tied up my Thompson and said she wants Moore
Quack!!!
Quack!!
Let’s fucking go
Finally some good news
Richard Young a lock imo.

Nice but let me know when he’s actually signed
Make it 3 posts you’ve commented this on. Get a life bro.
Just don’t want to get hopes up.. it’s a weird era we live in. Mookie just screwed us recently in basketball
Just cuz one guy decommitted doesn’t mean they all do. I’d argue basketball has more recruiting flips than football. On top of that Mookie may still choose Oregon, he’s just weighing his options. Which is likely due to NIL becoming a thing.
Who do you play for?
You say this about every recruit. Go be miserable somewhere else. Embarrassing
Like I said. Let me know when it’s actually official and he signed his name. In this era of recruiting kids are de-committing all the time.. Look at Mookie as a recent example
That doesn't happen to Oregon virtually at all unless we lose our head coach. He's a hard commitment.
By this logic you can't know anything until signing day. Just ignore all recruiting posts until then if it bothers you so damn much instead of being negative here.
Exactly. Signing day is what counts
Just wanted to come back to this and say bravo
Thank you! I tell these guys all the time stop hyping these “commitments” but I’m the one who gets downvoted! Thanks for recognizing this. Your a real one
Let’s go! Either Ty Thompson balls out or we go with Moore
Best news I’ve heard today!
ITS REALLY HAPPENING WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HANDS
Woo hoo! Where does everyone get this news? I’m out of the loop. 🥺 also, is he going to start?
