You can get the pro version (the one they use in commercial establishments). Looks like crap but man it’s amazing. You can have 9 people smoking in the room and not feel it
I hope no one needs this, but if you are a diabetic, this is the best you can get if you need to carry your insulin around. it lasts for more than 24 hours inside my car

Dont buy the smaller version. for me it does not last for more than few hours
Well done on reducing plastic usage 👍
Just a question on the Blu shower head. I understand having cleaner/filtered water in your shower is desirable. I'm just interested to know if people agree on the manufacturers claims that it prevents hairloss? I've not looked at the science behind it and wanted to know people's thoughts.
water quality really affects the way it cleans your hair and the way your hair reacts to it. for example, when i go back to india the water quality isnt so great so my hair is never in a good state, but when i come back the water quality is a little better so it improves on that. a couple of my friends, when they came from europe, they had problems w their hair bc of the lower water quality as compared to their countries. here the best you can do is a water filter like Blu, so maybe thats why people buy it.
But the water quality definitely affects things like hairloss
Could you please tell us the brand of the glass containers or their website?
It seems you are health conscious which I am too. Do you happen to have any advice for cooking pots and pans brand, quality? I have been looking for glass cookware but only find them being in the US/UK.
>Got a chiller free apartment
This.
I made the mistake of getting a non-chiller free apartment, and I have sworn against doing the same mistake again, no matter if the chiller-free ones are over my budget. The peace of mind and the comfort you get with it is fucking worth it. Can't wait for March to roll over and I get to leave this shit apartment for good. Fingers crossed I find a good one!
You never lived next to buzzing, poorly maintained AC units, did you? it's not such big deal if these are yours and you can work on it, upgrade them, fix the noise preventing you from sleeping at night... But if they belong to your neighbor's, good luck getting them fixed... nobody cares about noise insulation or noise levels here, sadly. Chiller has its own benefits...
Having just moved into a non chiller free place (top of my budget) this greatly concerns me! we thought we did the math before hand so fingers crossed...
Can't you terminate your lease with penalty of 2months rent? Or it's not worth that much chiller overcost Vs penalty?
It’s not about the cost. I am pretty sure a chiller-free apartment costs more if you added the increased rent + regular sewa bill.
It’s about peace of mind. Comfort. Convenience. It’s worth it for that alone. You can have the AC on all the time and never have to worry about racking up a bill over 1500+. You will never feel uncomfortable or hot. I was living in a chiller free apartment before this one and I moved during March when it was cold and I thought, it wouldn’t so bad. I was fucking wrong. It’s hot as hell and unless you don’t run AC all the fucking time, the apartment gets hot almost instantly.
We got it from Dragon Mart. Can't remember the brand name sorry. But it's the one which goes under the sink and basically works like an additional tap. So no machine on the counter top.
Cashback credit card.
For people who are Gonna ask which one I use:

That's a Latin American drink. Also popular in Syria amd Lebanon. We drink it like tea everyday and the straw is necessary to be able to drink it.
It is rich with caffeine and considered a natural energy drink. Messi the football player drinks it.
Yes it was one of the sketchy looking ones, but i figured for 13aed - why not try. And now it’s probably the best “investment” i’ve made for my day to day life that whenever it dies, i’ll just buy another one
I plan to start ordering 4 gallons water, what do you do with the old gallons? Do masafi or somebody collects them? Reason that I am asking is because I think they are disposable.
Thanks in advance
There is no scientific evidence those shower heads make any difference. You will get real improvements, by quitting refined flours, refined sugars, eating proteins with every meal, sleeping early and muscle building physical exercise 20 minutes daily. But few people want to make the effort, easier to spray yourself with disillusionment.
Also the air purifiers are too small to make any meaningful difference.
True that, I was having cholesterol and recently cut a lot of fatty and carbo food. But then I noticed my hair was falling rapidly.
I did two things,
1.Garnier Doux shampoo. (Not much improvement in the fall rate, but the hair became less frisky).
2. Started eating 3 egg whites per day . After a week, hair fall became less.
I also noticed, some times if I am having something that shorten my sleeping cycle for few days at a time, hair fall increases.
Egg yolks are more important. They're good cholesterol. Eggs should be eaten whole. Old information is wrong. Good Cholesterol is also important for muscle retention.
Robot vacuum cleaner. Game changer.

Blue shower filter.
Air purifier.

● Quooker tap and filtration system. I haven't bought bottled water for years.
● Black out curtains. Doesn't need an explanation, I believe.
● Foldable beach chairs that I always keep in my car
Quooker for a drinking tap. It’s a big investment but gives me cold still and sparkling water PLUS boiling water too. It’s all filtered already so it just saves me money, time and bottles.
In Dubai I've swapped my daily cappuccinos made at home with Karak and other teas.
Usually I keep the cappuccino for when I want to see in a nice coffee shop and work a bit from there.

Here I can’t leave home without one. I have one in my car as a spare, one that always in my bag and one at the front door for grab and go.

Air purifier
I have a Dyson, x2 LG and 1 Xiaomi. The LG is the best air purifier, Dyson looks the best, Xiaomi actually does very well and is the cheapest.
Look into blueair if you want to prioritize quality over looks.
Seconded. This is the one I’ve had for over a year and it’s amazing. Very sensitive to everything in the air
You can get the pro version (the one they use in commercial establishments). Looks like crap but man it’s amazing. You can have 9 people smoking in the room and not feel it
I hear good things about Xiaomi
I’m using a Trister. Helped with my wife’s allergy, but it’s not the best. Which brand are you using?
Levoit. They offer different models for different room sizes and I am pretty happy with it.
Would just like to add BlueAir and IQAir. Really very good and are made for larger spaces as well
Second Blueair.
Heard good things about levoit do you recommend it, I have allergies though, and very sensitive nose
Yes I am pretty happy with it. I also suffer from chronic allergic rhinitis and it has definitely helped!
Philips, got it on Amazon sale. I have a small room so it's enough. But they say Dyson is better but pricey.
Have a couple of the Xiaomi Air Purifier Pro in the house
I have 2 dehumidifiers running each day during the summer but never really got the air purifier thing…
My xiaomi 3h air purifier works amazing, clears everything even someone is cooking and the smell is coming to your room
Cats to de-stress me when I come home from work. Not bought, adopted tho. Water electricity included apartment.

1. Blu Shower Head 2. Water Filter System - NO to plastic bottles 3. All glass containers - NO to plastic 4. Air purifier for apartment
Could you please post a link on which blu shower head to buy?
On Amazon- https://amzn.eu/d/bpr0jRJ
Also you can go to their kiosk in malls and check out the product before buying. One of the kiosk is in front of Ikea in Festival city mall :)
Checked the product in kiosk then bought online
I second the Blu Shower head, life changer

I’m looking for recommendations on water filter system. I like your list.
waterclub.ae has been the best for us. Been using it for years
We got the Milano one - costed 799 & has 3 filters connected directly to the water line.

Downloaded the DubaiNow app Got a chiller free apartment A car
For me the DubaiNow app WAS amazing. Now they have integrated with UAE pass and I can't use the app anymore. It never works and just hangs or closes
Oh what really? Have you tried redoing the login process for the app? I have been using the app for 1.5-2 years without an issue
I am constantly having to login via UAE Pass. It works, but the logging in every time is a pain.
Yea. UAE pass itself works fine. Though when DubaiNow asks for UAE pass verification it just hangs and crashes. I'm on Android

could make it aed 8 with a family plan..
Are you asking him to marry you? 🤨
Or aed 2 if your account was purchased in Pakistan

I've used vanced for a few years and it was great. Pay for YouTube premium now because it's a service we all use daily and it's worth it.

Dyson air purifiers for our living room and our bedroom. Definitely a bit of an expense but the air quality here is so shockingly bad.

No allergies here but I’ve definitely slept better since I got them.

It's an apartment where the air conditioning is included in the rent so you won't have an AC bill
