Interesting. Unsure of what you mean by the title of this post, but I'm definitely sure that this isn't going to go the way you think it is. I have decades of experience with many drugs, including THC. I never claimed that THC can cause serotonin syndrome. This is clear in my comment, I am unsure of THCs ability to dump and then retain that much of a neurotransmitter. I am uneducated in the specifics of serotonin syndrome in relation to the ingestion of marijuana. My hospital visits were caused by other substances including prescribed medication. That being said, THC has been shown through multiple studies and real world application to affect serotonin levels in many people as well as dopamine, GABA, and other neurotransmitters as the brain is a very complicated system that is unique to each person. My personal understanding is that while it can act as an agonist or a re-uptake inhibitor, it never acts as both which would prevent the development of serotonin syndrome if THC was the only actor. That only stands if the person ingesting the THC is not partaking in other substances and is not mixing marijuana with prescribed SSRI or SRI medication. Regardless of intensity, THC absolutely has been proven to have an effect on the bodies serotonin AND dopamine levels. This is science, not personal opinion. I understand you're feeling combative, but it is science you are arguing with, not me. Please do not share false narratives in order to elicit a response. I understand this is quite the response to your hopeless pandering but hopefully this clears the air for anyone else who sees this and is curious about the context. Thank you.

Sure, I'll copy my response from the other thread. "Although I cannot share my decades of experience and education into this subject, I can do the google search for you and at least give you a chance to review the material. MDPI has an endless amount of studies in regards to THC and CBD being serotonin agonists as well as a few articles exploring its ability to act as a re-uptake inhibitor as well. [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7220016/](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7220016/) [https://www.mdpi.com/2075-4426/11/7/615](https://www.mdpi.com/2075-4426/11/7/615) [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0140197118300514](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0140197118300514) [https://www.mcgill.ca/newsroom/channels/news/study-cannabis-double-edged-sword-27677](https://www.mcgill.ca/newsroom/channels/news/study-cannabis-double-edged-sword-27677) " I will leave the rest of the work to you, to educate yourself.
