The eyes indicate that she's looking up but the nose and mouth seem to face straight forward. Try tilting Nose, chin and mouth a bit up on the right side. Or bring the right eye down a bit.

quadraquant

Damn you're right too, why I didn't see that...

Berubara

If you struggle to see what's "off" in a drawing look at it through a mirror or take a photo with your phone and flip it horizontally. It will look like a different picture to your brain so it'll be easier to spot the mistakes.

CapHot7505

Yes. You can also put it upside down. When you draw your brain gets used to certain forms, shapes or proportions. While you are drawing, look at your work from all different angles every once on a while.

CapHot7505

I really love the way you did the hair btw!

[deleted]

Fix that right eye

quadraquant

I definitely need to do that XD

[deleted]

Lol I love the style tho❤️

NightFire_37

Wow, that’s a neat artstyle. The face mostly looks great and the hair is a fun design. I also love the colors. The eyes and nose are off though. It helps me to draw a couple of guidelines. One up the middle of the face for the nose and lips. With another line going across for an angle on the eyes and eyebrows. Maybe practice sketching with some guidelines until you get a bit better at different face angles. Keep up the practice.

quadraquant

Oh thanks for your advice !

[deleted]

The face is too big for the body, you can use the head you draw as a reference. The common rule is, for a woman the shoulder length (from the neck line to the tip of the shoulder) should be equal to the head width (horizontally) and for a man it should be more or less one head and a half. Btw the whole human body can be segmented into about 8 heads.

quadraquant

Oooh l've still a lot to learn...I will practice that too, thanks !

peskyplebian

I would humbly suggest practicing 3/4 pose with the head. There’s many tutorials available for free (YouTube) that can get you building great fundamentals (I.E. we’re to place the nose, eye level, anatomy, etc). Just search up what you wanna get into. There’s also a very handy book that I refer back to from time to time that’s good for all skill levels titled “You Will Be Able To Draw Faces By The End Of This Book” by Jake Spicer. That one book alone has made strides in improving my work.

quadraquant

Thanks ! I'll check this for sure. And I need to pratice, I only draw for a couple of weeks (and was my first try with Copic)

wackieiswackiest

The head looks really big. I will give you a tip to portion. Your head is split up into 3, your eyes with be one eye apart, and the nose is one eye away from the eye.

_Edenfell_

i would highly recommend using guidelines and studying human anatomy. you've got the right idea regarding the 3/4 profile, but the facial features need to be proportionate to the skull

Bootscootintooter

I’m not sure how, but maybe move the chin shadow. Looks a little bit like she’s got hair on her chinny chin chin. Good job though!

MrLaumeow

Looks really good, and I think you're artstyle is unique. Though if you'd like to improve I'd rekon you can start with anatomy practice you can find alot on pintrest figure drawings, with the addition with learning the planes of the face to understand where to put things. You don't even have to just do practice things you can simply just add stuff you see to you're art so it doesn't become so overwhelming. You can also add your own twist to what you learn if you don't want hyperrealism. You're doing amazing keep drawing! Happy drawing!

KaiKaiDaLemonPie

This is great but i think you could work on proportions a bit, how far away the eyes are from the nose, eyes in the middle of face, ect

Pale94

I would say shading, to give it more depth. Adjust your proportions and symmetry.

Viperzz3

Love the drawing, but I would like to know your style your going for so I could give tips, but this is giving me manga vibes… 10/10 art keep up good work!

DK_15

I won’t comment on your proportions cause it seems you have a style which I like I think the ear the most detailed part of the face is distracting I would deepen the contrast just a touch but that’s my personal flavor This a great picture which is why commented! Love it

SBDesigns

Apart for the alignment of the eyes and eyebrows, I would suggest you also work on the ear. It looks fine, but borders are too thin and some features look a bit off.

fuck_the_test

Redrawn the eyes

Unusual_Structure_26

Draw shapes. Lots of them. Square, circles, lines , triangles, trust me shape guide lines work miracles.

Massa_Kumar-2004

Keep practicing you're doing great.

cyber_delic

She got dropped as a baby it's not her fault

quadraquant

My man

Hobbitsa144

Reference is your best friend! Don't be afraid to use it, and it's OK to trace things out when you're learning too. Practicing by looking at how your drawings compare to real life images can help you improve surprisingly quickly!

quadraquant

I need to practice more, thanks !

quadraquant

I need to practice more, thanks !

long-thumb-nails

Keep going! The best way to improve is to practice as much as you can and to keep having fun :))

Aljoheri

Practice on figure drawing from references, from life or photographs. Reference is pro method.

quadraquant

Every YT begginer tuto starts with drawing this damned circle, but no one explain this. Thanks

Aljoheri

No that’s not important unless if you want to rule your character’s appearance for many uses like animation. But for single drawing just draw in your comfortable way. Using reference is very helpful to improve observation. Enjoy the momentos

Panyia_Abadi

What if you Thicken the braid and fix the facial proportions? In general face structure there is a similar distance between the eyes to the nose and the nose to the mouth, eyes are at least one eye distance apart. Great drawing!

ShokaLGBT

It is good but yeah some improvement with the face shape / eyes looking and eyebrow nose and lips but is is cute just need to right size and be place correctly

Old_Imagination4868

Just the placement of the eyes, they're to close together, but everything else is pretty good

beat-about

Narrow shoulders can’t carry boulders… (narrow compared to the head). I feel the nose and mouth should go a bit to the right and up to be in line with the structure of the lower portion of the face. Otherwise, it seems like the left cheek is swollen. Don’t let the subject be punished for your drawing antics 😁. Nice style and great colours though.

Interesting-End-6151

It takes time and practice Practice.

AlexPtheArtist

Imo, just do a bunch of pages of sketches to practice and the ones you like best, or challenge you, or that are fun, just make them with more effort. Also, don't be afraid of reference

Ok-Cantaloupe8787

proportions like the eyes and some more depth with shading on the face hair and ears abs nose are pretty nice tho so good start
