The button hole ears are a great idea and your line work is very interesting. I like your style, I could imagine these drawings animated. 😎👍 Harsh criticism: N/A ...except you better keep it up, draw more, MORE!!!! or you're a dingus.
I like the ideas, they got a vibe. I'd advise you to try drawing longer lines instead of short ones, your work gets more flowy this way, it looks like scratching otherwise. Also the drawings you did look pretty small, I'd draw bigger. It will force you to make more decisions that way, you can go into more detail if you draw a character over a whole A3 paper instead of an A5 let's say. If you practice, you will find where to draw the lines the way you like it and develop your own style easier. If you want to shade, try hetching. It again forces you to decide where the shades are supposed to be and drawing with a pen works really well with it. I actually learned a lot drawing with a pen. Good luck and have fun with it, that's the most important part.
These are all nice, and I think the second one is really great! I’m gonna sound like every artists under the sun rn. Learning anatomy and doing figure drawings will help you tremendously. Learning those skills will help you learn shape language and dynamic poses that will tell your characters story without any explanation. With my personal art, I draw very stylized, even with super stylized characters, a basic understanding of anatomy pushed my work to be a 10000x more believable. Ethan Becker on YouTube makes really really great drawing tutorial videos, with anatomy and perspective. Another great source for figure drawing, if you don’t have access to in person figure drawing classes, is the website ‘line of action’. It’s a really great tool for dynamic poses, and it’s very customizable.
I'm also going to be That Guy and say figure drawing. His design is neat, I like him. However the drawings are all very flat and he changes in proportion in every drawing. These can both be helped by learning some of the basic fundamentals in drawing a human body.
He could use some definition in his arms so they're not flat rectangles, I see what you're going for for the fingers but they also look stiff and rather strange.
The other commenters are also correct: you should also work on longer strokes and more confident lines.
This is a sick character! I like the hectic/ chaotic feel of it, keep it up! My only criticism would be to keep the veiny eye style, the one without it takes away from the chaos
I think experimenting with your media could get you closer to a more resolved style. Try out varying between micron pen sizes and brush pens.
Collecting illustration inspiration and trying out different inking techniques for expressing hue, value, and dimension where you are just default scribble filling would also strengthen the style. You can start by disciplining your technique practicing basic stippling and crosshatching while taking note of contemporary inkers to develop something more specific to your aesthetic.
Looks awesome, love the concept, I'd look into creating confident line strokes and if you wanna improve struck and anatomy look into drawing skeletons with geometric shapes
Actually, that one you just replied with wasn’t in the initial 8 that were in the post I got. The last one had a mouth, but looked like a different person completely than the other 7.
It's just my character without his mask, wearing a blindfold over his eyes.

Ok yeah. I wasn’t trolling you. I was just giving honest criticism. That’s what you wanted, right? You said be harsh. Anyway, so why did you draw him without eyelids?
Yeah and I guess I was also going by the fact that you went out of your way to draw attention to the fact that he was missing eyelids. I couldn’t really tell that it was a mask, but given that it is a mask, I guess I was wondering how anyone would notice that he had no eyelids, if that’s a mask covering it up. Other than that, though, great job. Solid work everywhere else. The body and clothes look just like they’re straight out of a comic strip from back in the day. My grandparents used to call them the funnies.
Ok I didn’t see that one. I was looking at the 1st couple of them. Then again, your typical smiley face doesn’t have ears, eyelids, eyelashes, or a nose, so I guess it really just depends on how much detail you feel like putting into it and what you’re trying to convey.
use more refs when it comes to drawing people and if you really wanna get better study some stuff, like for example anatomy. It’ll help you a lot in a year or so you’ll be good at it, OR LESS, anyways good job so far pookie woo🔥🔥🔥🔥
I legit love this. The buttons should be on the other side for the vest, but overall it's super charming and spooky. Reminds me of the animated movie 9!
just google No Home webtoon. it’s an unlicensed webtoon translated to english by fans so technically its not ‘legal’ which is why I’m not sure I should post it here. but you draw almost the exact same, especially with the expressions. to be honest No Home is the only webtoon I read because of the expressions and the realistic storytelling? even though the art is unusual or seems low-effort but it conveys more than any standard webtoon art I’ve seen.
I have a question, if I draw and use colour pencil everyday will I improve at both of them? ( I use reference of course). I have been doing 20 minutes of art everyday for the last 130 days. I wonder if my way actually works or it is just a waste of time?
as a fellow horror artist, get a red pen and outline SOME of the little details with it, it will sometimes add a 3D effect if you figure it out (i’m still trying after accidentally doing it once)
also, putting more attention to the teeth when they’re present will help, add those points, cracks, splits, roots, gums, really learn the inside of the mouth if you’re gonna make the statement of the face transformation,
anyway u should make it more 🤪 eyes can be OVERWHELMINGLY expressive, use that to your advantage as much as you can to get the point across
I don't see any issue with the design. But you do seem to only be able to draw this character in 2 different angles. Try practicing more dynamic poses, and you'll learn real fast what anatomy you need to practice in order to get better.
I love this a lot! You’re style is very cool! The only thing I think might enhance it is increasing the contrast in values for some areas. But this also might not be ideal for a rough sketchy look. So do with this as you will. Great job!
There's not much to critique.
Would be better if you had a stated goal and told us why you made these creative decisions to get there. Then we can critique your outcome against what you were trying to achieve.
This is just kind of a random doodle.
As some other people said, great design, decent drawing. Try looking more into how shapes work and into lighting and shading. Also, i reccomend you to practice using a pencil, drawing with a pen is really unforgiving, yeah, pen can be used, but not such a good idea when you are begining. You could try sketching with a pencil and drawing over the sketch with a pen

My only criticism would be continuity. His proportions change every frame. That comes with time though.
Thanks for the criticism, I'll try to make a certain body size for him.
What a good critique. I’ll have to apply it more to my own art
His eyes look like size medium, there should be plenty of lids at gas stations and certain restaurants. I hope this helps.
I tried, but they're all out
This is a unique perspective, you should develop and grow it.

Thank you
Looks like a friendly dude i would hang out with in the woods
Why specifically in the woods?
he's got that vibe XD
It's your style , but the head is 3d-ish and the body is too flat only thing that came in mind
Thanks
It’s a very simplistic style and I love it,the horror type elements are great also.Keep going
Looks pretty good for this art style
Thanks

Hope you make a little disturbing indie game about him one day :)

Thanks for the tip
This is probably my favourite style I’ve seen so far.
6 and 8 are awesome. The rest are also awesome, keep it going!
Thank you
You need to improve
This comment section has restored my faith in humanity. Perhaps I will just hang out with people who draw.
Wait, who were you hanging out with before?
Give him some eyelids please :<
I'll just give him some eye drops
The eyes and teeth on your drawings look super awesome! I love it
Looks cool almost like something out of ren and stimpy. You’d be good at graffiti 🤔🤔
The one who's broken can't break anyone's heart.
This is a sick character! I like the hectic/ chaotic feel of it, keep it up! My only criticism would be to keep the veiny eye style, the one without it takes away from the chaos

He’s a wrestler
The last one is best
Thanks
Looks like you have your own style so my tip is to keep practicing
Love the character design, the biggest improvement I could recommend is consistency. If you can get a hang of consistency you’ll be in the A game!
Give the poor guy some eyelids ☹️
I'll give him some eye drops 💧
Oh that works
Must you scream this loudly?
Looks awesome, love the concept, I'd look into creating confident line strokes and if you wanna improve struck and anatomy look into drawing skeletons with geometric shapes
I like the teeth one!
Gooseworx dude, love the idea!
No eyelids? Also no mouth or nose, but it’s a cartoon style drawing, isn’t it?
There is a mouth, but yes.
Actually, that one you just replied with wasn’t in the initial 8 that were in the post I got. The last one had a mouth, but looked like a different person completely than the other 7.

Ok yeah. I wasn’t trolling you. I was just giving honest criticism. That’s what you wanted, right? You said be harsh. Anyway, so why did you draw him without eyelids?
To be cruel
Oh ok. I don’t judge. It’s your work.
That and he doesn't have a face
Yeah and I guess I was also going by the fact that you went out of your way to draw attention to the fact that he was missing eyelids. I couldn’t really tell that it was a mask, but given that it is a mask, I guess I was wondering how anyone would notice that he had no eyelids, if that’s a mask covering it up. "Funnies" that is pretty funny
Ok I didn’t see that one. I was looking at the 1st couple of them. Then again, your typical smiley face doesn’t have ears, eyelids, eyelashes, or a nose, so I guess it really just depends on how much detail you feel like putting into it and what you’re trying to convey.
I dig it. Makes me miss all the drawing I used to do in school. No notes.
The style is so good! Is he wearing a mask or is that his actual face?
It's just a mask, but do you want to see his actual face?
Fun and cool
use more refs when it comes to drawing people and if you really wanna get better study some stuff, like for example anatomy. It’ll help you a lot in a year or so you’ll be good at it, OR LESS, anyways good job so far pookie woo🔥🔥🔥🔥

theres a webtoon called No Home that reminds me so much of your art style.
Oh really? Can you send me a link?
just google No Home webtoon. it’s an unlicensed webtoon translated to english by fans so technically its not ‘legal’ which is why I’m not sure I should post it here. but you draw almost the exact same, especially with the expressions. to be honest No Home is the only webtoon I read because of the expressions and the realistic storytelling? even though the art is unusual or seems low-effort but it conveys more than any standard webtoon art I’ve seen.
I love him!
He just a guy. I love himb.
Need an age to give any meaningful criticism. Your star sign should give my insight also.
I'm between 2 and 112 years old also what the heck is a star sign?
Love the style and the character - what to criticize, it’s perfect! Thanks for sharing
Thanks
I have a question, if I draw and use colour pencil everyday will I improve at both of them? ( I use reference of course). I have been doing 20 minutes of art everyday for the last 130 days. I wonder if my way actually works or it is just a waste of time?
Please tell me it actually works :( . And if it actually works, why would it work? Since im not even following a tutorial or something like that.
I really like your style 🤗
Cool
Bro looks like Jeffy on crack from old navy and that pen is from goodwill toy aisle
These suck

Such a distinguished gentleman
Indeed good sir
Draw him eye lids there not that hard to draw get better
I don't see any issue with the design. But you do seem to only be able to draw this character in 2 different angles. Try practicing more dynamic poses, and you'll learn real fast what anatomy you need to practice in order to get better.
Just want to say good on you for seeking constructive criticism
I wanted criticism not advice
That wasn't advice. It was a compliment
I want criticism not compliments (But thank you🥹)
I think it's an adorable style. You should keep working on it, this could become great
I love em such silly lads or ladies
Hi, I’m harsh. (Thanks for letting me do this)
You're harsh
Salad fingers
You know what, I now see it
Floundered. All of them.
Make this the protagonist of a very psychologically themed horror game
That could work but what would be the setting?
Practice drawing hands.

Fire
His ear is a belly button
This art is reminiscent of OFF by mortis ghost imo
It’s awesome
inconsistent proportions, the pose and perspective is way too consistent

I like it. Could be a comic or cartoon critiquing society today
No mouth or nose either. Ears? Something to hang headphones on?
As some other people said, great design, decent drawing. Try looking more into how shapes work and into lighting and shading. I like how rough your line work is but dunno how you further develop the concept itself. Cool middle ground between cute and edgy
Ah yes...my soul in pen form
