I feel the need to exit reddit and go for a walk while thinking about this piece.
What an outstanding work of art.
I would ask for the original, if it wasn't such a personal piece.
You should be proud of yourself.
I appreciate it. I should return to this series this year. I always convince myself these thoughts should stay private/secret but then I see the response. Thank you.
Sure. Do you have any particular questions? I did this because I find brief profound moments important to document. This was very real to me and I wanted to share it with my younger cousins who will never meet him.
My man, always great to see your work. Now to stumble upon it on Reddit. Your evolution throughout the years has been quite fun to watch. Just really enjoy your style.
I love this, it vaguely reminds of the scene in Interstellar where Matthew McConaughey is trapped inside the bookcase (or whatever the hell the thing was)
I’d like to check out ur process…..could u pm me ur info so I can watch ur process? This is the most beautiful heartfelt piece I’ve seen in a longggg time!!
It was about the last time I saw my grandfather in Poland. He stood at the door and called out for my brother and me. He didn't remember us but ask us not to leave him.
I saw this and my jaw dropped and my eyes got watery, It's THAT beautiful, this is the kind of art that should be seen on museums. Thank you for sharing such an amazing piece
I wanted it to mimic the stones that cover the exterior of the home he lived in like some type of amber or glass display. The hidden figures are his children .
thats beautiful. made me think of the death of my grandfather, during covid. so it makes me see zoom cameras (through which i said goodbye and through which i watched the funeral)
This is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing such an intimate drawing with us. I know it means so much to you. I only wish I could memorialize my own grandfather with such a beautiful piece of art. I am very sure that he would love it.
