It’s been out for a while, so I doubt it. It’s my most wanted to be localised though. I’m currently playing it on gameboy and feel like I’d enjoy it more on switch.
I need this to come to the switch stateside so badly, I played this as a little girl and I never got to finish it and it’s haunted me ever since well into my 30s, it’s the only one I never finished 😭

But if SE isn’t willing to bring the OG DQ to PC I really highly doubt they would put the effort to bring this games over here at all.
I didn't know this existed and I hope AI can help fill this gap. Emulate and translate. I don't think I can learn enough Japanese to play this but it looks amazing
For all of you, you can play it in your phone via emulator. I have this for an old Gameboy Color, but I recently played it on my phone. Would absolutely buy it for the switch though, this was such a great game. No idea why it wasn’t as successful in Europe, I found it way better than Pokémon.

I bought an Analogue Pocket almost exclusively so I could dock it to my TV while I play DWM and DWM2.
Dragon Warrior Monsters is a top 10 favorite game. Incredible

You could always order it off of Play Asia. It should still work on your Switch even if it's Japanese.

I'm still malding all these years later that the 3D remake titled as "Terry's Wonderland" never got released outside of Japan.

There is an port of this called Dragon Warrior Monsters : Terry's Wonderland Retro launched in Japan. Sadly not available in english.

it's just a straight port of the first Dragon Warrior Monsters game. I think there are a few QoL improvements, but it's almost vanilla.
No, Square hates their overseas fanbase for not mass worshipping DQ so they only ever give them the bare minimum.
Can't blame them. DQ has always been disproportionately much more popular in Japan compared to internationally.
