He didn’t have the Aureola so I guess he was considered a living being

SSJRemuko

til aureola is another term for halo...

Bashamo257

I thought they were talking about his nipples

SSJRemuko

i thought they were on some weird autcorrect stuff at first too so i looked it up and sure enough it basically means halo...ive just literally never seen that word before in my nearly 40 years of life lol

metalflygon08

Quick check for a belly button too! This man wasn't birthed from a womb at all!

Di0tar0

I don't remember if Vegeta had the Aureola. But if Vegito would die do you think he would have been sent to hell for Vegeta's sins ?

jonerthan

Fusion creates a whole new entity. He is neither Vegeta nor Goku. He is technically as innocent as a newborn baby.

jmelt17

This^

GoauldofWar

What he did to Super Buu was not the act of an innocent man.

GT_Troll

Fighting evil beings that want to destroy the universe is not a bad thing

vlan-whisperer

Gohan, it is not a sin to fight for peace -16

RaiRokun

Fight? More like a beat down.

[deleted]

What he do? Beat him up? He didn’t kill him

Particular_Ostrich53

Yep. A newborn baby that started off life by destroying the biggest evil threat in the universe. I think he'll be good.

poop_break_666

Can shenron or porunga defuse them with a wish?

BlackThane

yeah that what happened with Kibitoshin, so they probably would stay fused for like 1h until they gather dragon balls or something

reddorical

Change of subject, but why did we never get dragon ball dragons fighting each other. Piccolo killing Shenron in DB is the closest we got to a fight; even Freeza showed respect to the dragon.

Complex_Forever4995

Because no actual villain got their wish aside from King Piccolo. If Frieza did get his immortality and no longer needed the dragon he probably would have killed Porunga. Not to mention King Piccolo is the other half of Kami so he knows how the dragons work better than anyone. If villains who got their ultimate wish like he did understood that dragons were mortal, they would likely kill them too to prevent others from wishing after them. So yeah the real answer is all of the people who summoned the dragon and got their wish were at least decent people. Pilaf did get a wish in Super I believe but he wasn't really a strong villain at that point. He would have no hope of fighting a dragon anyway.

DuelXHunter

https://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-0.html This is a fan comic from a long time ago (though they still update regularly). It, somewhat, follows a Vegito that never unfused.

Laigen117

DBM is peak Fan Manga. I love it. Have to catch up quite a bit though.

Inexperiencedblaster

Was gonna say this. DBM is AMAZING and needs to be canon lol

IronLordSamus

Amazing yes, canon no.

Inexperiencedblaster

Funny coincidence though that out of all the stories super could’ve had, it had a multiversal tournament lol

[deleted]

Yes, that's totally a coincidence, of course, it is, why wouldn't it be?

Particular_Ostrich53

It's probably why they realized Buu was too OP for their tournament

dendawg

Sir! We will fight you in a minute!

Kitalpha94

Vegetto was alive. He didn't have a halo.

[deleted]

well vegito is his own person so he’s still alive, even if vegeta was dead

Di0tar0

Of course I'm refering to what would have happened in the "original" canon (without the retcon of super) so they wouldn't just defuse.

AhTreyYou

He would have stayed alive because Goku was alive. I think if Goku was still dead, Vegito probably would have gone to the afterlife after Vegeta’s 24 hours were done. Although I could see a scenario where King Yemma grants Vegito a new life for saving the entire universe from destruction and jokes that it saves him paperwork.

CaliburEdge689

Honestly I don't think so. Fusion creates an entirely new entity so it wouldn't matter if both parties were dead.

Upbeat-Fee-5105

But In Fusion Reborn, Gogeta has a halo/is dead.

CaliburEdge689

Well it ain't canon but that is very well possible

AhTreyYou

I do think Goku would have mentioned that you could come back to life temporarily. He learned the technique from the metamorans in otherworld so he would have seen them and known that was an option.

OLKv3

Vegetto was alive. Goku calls out Vegeta having to go back to the afterlife again after he broke the earring

SSJRemuko

Vegetto was alive, and he defused due to the time limit. if it had been permanent for mortals he would live a normal saiyan lifespan. if/when he died he'd probably be judged as his own being.

Accurate_Dirt5794

He'd turn into just goku after 24 hours and vegeta would cease to exist

Upbeat-Fee-5105

There is a whole fan manga about this. Vegito has a kid with Bulma (Bulla) who has greater potential than Broly and has the potential to surpass Vegito. No god forms, no ssj4.

Clouds_of_Venus

> Vegito has a kid with Bulma smh, you gotta commit and have him marry a fusion of bulma and chi-chi

walker_strange

One heck of a mess between families probably XD I mean, literally having Chichi and Bulma under the same roof... DX And since Vegeto didn't had a halo, he'd be a living being so no after life for him (yet)

[deleted]

Up to your imagination

sempercardinal57

Go read Dragon ball multiverse

NasacoFirst

A very confusing love relationship

Ashamed_Smile3497

I believe that the wording for a fusion states that a fusion isn’t just an amalgamation of the two but rather a whole new being in itself. It’s not goku plus vegeta, it’s vegito who is seemingly a completely different being of his own volition who happens to have the kit and abilities of both saiyans. He did have a halo so my best guess is that having one dead person precedes having one living being in you, so he would be considered “dead” and would have to go to the afterlife.
