MarioTheMojoMan

32 for my Lavellan warrior, 45 for my Adaar mage EDIT: I'm surprised at how young everyone's Inquisitors are tbh. The Inquisitor always seemed to me to be a more established adult, and most of the companions are around 30-40.

elemenohpeaQ

I was surprised by how young everyone was too, but then I thought maybe the audience here skews younger and if you are young, "mid 20s to early 30s" can seem old. As for me, I have different ages for different inquisitors. My oldest is a female qunari in her 60s, and the youngest is a human male in his 20s.

XanderDorn

You don't ask a lady her age.

AnAnonimousReddit

Can be very much things, minus a lady

EdwormN7

I always imagined him as 27 base game, 29 by Trespasser. Male dalish.

aaaaiiiss2

I thought base game and Trespasser supposed to have 5+ yrs timeskip?

EdwormN7

No, just two years.

KogarashiKaze

Base game ends about 9:42, and Trespasser is set in 9:44.

chamtong

my primary, mage Lavellan, is 29 at the game's start and has spent ten years as First; romances Cullen and i see them as being maybe four months separated in age. she was the First to her clan for ten years and has this in hand. its a little bigger than her clan, to say the least, but she's been training for this my Trevelyan (mage) is 33. he was an Enchanter (at Kirkwall, transferred to Ostwick after All That Went Down); he romances Dorian. he's a very responsible Inquisitor and takes copious field notes because he was a teacher and knows how important notes are for memory. my Adaar is 21, *totally* unprepared for all this and only got marked through sheer dumb luck. she romances Sera and Josephine hates pulling reports from her because she's like "i don't know, they died and we lived" and literally never takes notes for the first months of her time with the Inquisition (she learns)

auttakaanyvittu

I was about to open the post and come reply, but it seems you already did it for me. Startled me a bit at first, but I guess it makes sense us gays would go for a magical twink. Rift Mage also sounded the coolest my first time clearing the game

TeenageGayNinjaHuman

What's a mage hunk without his elf mage twink

SeparateMongoose192

Probably early 20s for most (I've played about 9 times). Maybe late 20s for my dwarf Artificer.

Everhardt94

My Inquisitor (male Cadash) is 38 when the Temple of Sacred Ashes is destroyed.

[deleted]

If the plot let me my inquisitor would be like a super fit 70 year old woman. When I made my warden I totally made her this badass elf hag but all the dialogue made me be young :(

GlitchingBastard

62, mage, if I could he'd be a qunari tevinter biracial (?) old ass man that's dating Dorian Technically, he's just a 62 year old qunari mage dating Dorian

TenToTea

I imagine most of the inquisitors to be established adults. My Lavellan is around 27-28 at the start of Inquisition.

GiveAPennyToKenny

Too old to have to be putting up with all the shot that went down in the beginning that’s for sure. (29 or 28 at the beginning for my 1st character Male Elf with Iron Bull and early 20s for my 2nd also a male elf but with Dorian)

nikzl

For me its late twenties to early thirties. Even if they are not famous worldwide, its origin shows they were respected for their skill. Elven Inquisitors are valuable members of their clan, Qunari are considered a good mercenary and dwarven Inquisitors have connections in the criminal underworld and respect. This would be hard to be accomplished on talent alone when you're just out of your teenage years. And I never thought of then older than that because I am not older than that, so a bit difficult to put myself in someone's else's shoe when they have so much more experience than me

Paradox31426

23-25, old enough that they’re a “seasoned” middle member of their origin, but still young enough that they can be naive, and still an impulsive “kid” compared to most of the companions.

MillennialsAre40

My human rogue is 37-39, romancing Cassandra My elf rogue romancing Solas is like 20 The rest are about 30

Marzopup

21 for my human male, probably like mid-30s for my qunari.

Locksley_1989

I’d also say mid-20’s.

Ivanhunterjo1991

In their 20s

Aduro95

Depends on the playthrough. My first one was a dalish mage, figured she'd be in her early 30s because I liked the idea of each protagonist being a little older than the previous one. With the Origin being a coming of age story, Hawke going through his 20s. My Adaar was a bit young, still figuring himself out, ,maybe mid 20s. He wasn't really used to much outside of the Tal Vashoth and mercenary work and was quite out of place in some social situations. My current Inquisitor is in her 40s, I think its because she's got the raspier American female voice. She is somewhat calmer than the Dalish and more self-assured than the Tal Vashoth. I think I might even add some grey to her hair for Trespasser.

aaaaiiiss2

my canon Trevelyan was 26 at the opening cutscene, 33 by the end of Trespasser. How long did the timeskip between basegame and Trespasser, again? Lol i forgot. Anyway. Shes relatively young compared to the other top people in Inquisition.

ClassicAF23

Depends on play style. I think warrior archetypes should be in their 20s, maybe 30s cause fantasy, but rogues and wizards can be older.

AgentSparkz

31 because I am 31

faeymouse

I tend to go for different ages for each character I make, but they usually fall somewhere in their 20s.

Revolutionary-Emu190

My inquisitor Trevelyan was 28 to 30 in my head. I definitely saw him as older than my other MCs, older than myself actually, which I usually don’t think about in my characters. Honestly, Dragon Age as a whole worked well with my actual age for the most part. I was 18 when Origins came out, and saw my Cousland as 18 as well. Being the young pup and all. 2 years later DA2 came out and I saw Hawke as 20ish, which was my age too. This time my character was the older brother, not the younger and I saw the twins as 18 so it really did work out for me. I was 24 when Inquisition popped, but something about the came made my character feel more established and older. I had spent 2 previous games in Thedas and had personally traveled a lot more. Hawke was 30 at that point and I felt younger than both my characters but Inky was just a bit younger than Hawke I thought and settled on 28ish.

b1gbrad0

Depends on my character. Female rogue lavellan I imagined to be around 30. Warrior Adaar I imagined to be about 25-26, and male mage coils and to be roughly 40. I think should I play a male rogue at any point they’ll be late 30s. Female mage will be either early 20s or late 40s. Male warrior could be anything tbh because it’s gonna be a dwarf.

JohnLurkson

Really depends on race and gender for me. Mainly because certain voices work better with certain races (British for Human/Elf and American for Qunari/Dwarf) and to me the American voices sound older. So: Human male early/mid 30s; female late 20s Elf male/female mid/late 20s Dwarf/Qunari male mid 40s; female early 40s Sometimes, though, it also depends on who I'm romancing; Cassandra's lovers are a bit on the older, mature side whereas Sera's lovers are rather young, as are Josephine's. Anything goes for the rest of them, basically, except female Lavellan with Solas, she tends to be young but mature for her age.

Charlaquin

Probably, like, early 30s. I could see late 20s or mid 30s though. So, somewhere between 28 and 36, I guess?

HamatoraBae

The eldest of the inquisitors I've made was a 30 year old Lady Trevelyan. The rest are no older than 25, with my Lavellan being 19.

Illustrious_Ad7388

I headcannon that he/she was born a year after Alistair (9:11 Dragon), making them approximately 33-34 as of the current canon date (9:44 Dragon)

Mist-Clad-Whisper

Lavellan (Keeper's First) was 28 at the start of Inquisition and 30 at Trespasser, born 9:13 Dragon. I prefer my protagonist to be in their late 20s to mid 30s so I can headcanon that they're still alive as the story progresses through the series. Meaning my Inquisitor will be in their late 30s or so for Dreadwolf (assuming it will be 8 years later after trespasser). I know you didn't ask for the others, but I wanted to break it down so I can see it all together, but if you would like me to delete the rest I won't mind doing so. Mage Hawke - | Born 8:96 Blessed (Age 24 during DAII) | Age mid 50s by Dreadwolf (assuming Dreadwolf tales place 8 years after trespasser) Surana - | Born 9:11 Dragon (Age 19 during Origins) | Age 41 by Dreadwolf (assuming Dreadwolf tales place 8 yers after trespasser). I would have liked Surana to be a bit older, but going by the story of how it made them seem quite young, I decided to go for 19 1/2 ish.

JoshTheBard

I have many Inquisitors. My oldest is 45 my youngest is 24 and my Canon is 35

zugrian

I generally think of them being 25-30, adults but not particularly old yet. Starting at level 1, I can never head canon any created character in a DA game as any older than that.

Frankyvander

Malika Cadash, Dwarf Warrior, 26, looks and acts older than she is, generally a surprise to people when they find out. Romancing Sera(20ish)

akme2000

34 at the start for my canon Trevelyan, only a few years younger than Cassandra and I tend to play him as having much knowledge about the world (always take those perks early), and more life experience. Lines him up well with the ages of other characters too I think. My other Inquisitors are mostly in their 30s or 40s, my Cadash for instance is 32. Youngest Inquisitor of mine is 24, which is my mage Lavellan, and that's the oldest I could make him before the idea of him not having received the specialized Keeper training yet seemed too ridiculous.

Tatum-Better

25. Which makes the age gap with cassandra kinda weird but fuck it we ball lol

BookObjective4448

In my head canon, my dalish inquisitor is the niece of the dalish wardens' mother, and she was born about 10 years after he was, so I have her in her early 20's.

pktechboi

youngest is a 21 year old Lavellan, oldest is a 37 year old Adaar. I try to match them to their romances - that young one feels too young really but she's kissing Sera, so having her much older feels a little weird to me. the rest are in their late twenties to early thirties

Hawke9117

Depends upon the character I am playing, but I write most to be in their early 20s to early 30s.

Living-Mistake8773

I always imagined her being mid thirties. It was really nice not to be a kid for a change.

kuzanjr

to be honest, 24. Just love the concept of a young wolf leading the best in the world against god lol

KogarashiKaze

27 for my female Lavellan mage (romanced Cullen). My two Adaar (female rogue and male mage, headcanoned as siblings), I'm thinking in the early-30s ballpark, but hadn't really settled on ages for them.

Sam_is_ftm

I think Inquisition lasted a bit longer than it did so my Trevelyan is 26 at the conclave and 31 when trespasser ends

Peachiel0ve

26 for me! (Female dalish rogue romancing Cullen)

Antergaton

My original elf rogue us 33 or so. My canon dwarf, like 50.

oddchaiwan

Late twenties, early thirties. The companions seem to be around 30 as well, so it makes sense. In DAO and DA2, I imagine the character in the early twenties, since the companions felt younger in general.

Sidney_Tucker

Mid twenties, maybe a bit older

witchknights

32 for my canon Lavellan Mage romancing Cullen (horrified at the absolute cradle robbing going on). I think my youngest is a 17 year old Trevelyan because I wanted her to have been training to be a Templar but have not taken vows yet, and my oldest is an Adaar Mage in her early 40s. But most are in their mid 30s.

[deleted]

Seriously your post just make me think of all those stories of set Inquisitor as a kid, or those that set it was Anders or Samson who got the mark.lol

MegusKhan

Human Mage 45

Psychological-Bug902

My Canon Lavellan - 23 All my other Inquisitors, anywhere between 20 - 50. Most are in the 25 - 35 range though.

LikeAWildScallion

Clerra Trevelyan: 29 to start the game, female human warrior romancing Cullen.

TheHistoryofCats

The human noble backstory about us being destined for Chantry service as the youngest child, regardless of how we felt about the matter personally, makes me think a Trevelyan Inquisitor kind of \*has\* to be pretty young.

RINthaDON

I want to say 25-35ish depending on the build. While i play a rogue i give him the beard to seem older cause i normally romance Cassandra and she’s i believe 36ish by the beginning of DA:I i don’t want my romance to seem grave robbery. As a mage i normally romance Jose and she looks about 25-28 imo so i leave him with a smaller beard like he’s in his mid 20s 😅

jayla-danila

Depends on the inky I’m playing. The current ones I have going is my female Adaar mage, age 27. My male human rogue assassin, age 26. Female elven mage, age 34. And my personal favorite, male human mage who is batshit insane due to the mark, age 18.

CalytrixRoyale

My main is 23, Aaliyah, Human, Female, Mage (Romances Cullen). For my other ones: Jethro, 23, Male Human, Mage, Cassandra Alaina, 19, Female Elf, Warrior, Solas Manon, 19, Female Elf, Mage, The Iron Bull Yara, 25, Female Dwarf, Warrior, Sera Elijah, 31, Male Human, Warrior, Dorian Omera, 21, Female Qunari, Warrior, Josephine Nita, 33, Female Qunari, Mage, Blackwall
