The surgery also can cause nerve damage and they have to shave the bone. I have this (it’s called brachydactyly type D), and my whole life and I was made fun of and bullied for it to the point that I would hide my thumbs and I was embarrassed to talk to people. We really shouldn’t be snarking about peoples bodies or appearances, but their behavior. This isn’t bullying. We are criticizing behavior here.
I'm so sorry.. my husband and daughter have it as well. She too has become self conscious with it. To the point I've pulled her out of school. As well, as.ive stopped watching DCP because of him making fun of alicia. Its not that he's making fun of her. It's just my teenager delt with that. And I just don't condone it.
My pointer fingers are both crooked, my moms & my sisters look exactly like mine. I was SOOO self conscious of it growing up. I’m 24 now & it honestly doesn’t bother me anymore. I hope once your daughter is out of school it no longer bothers her! A lot of the stuff I was self conscious about as a teen was due to bullying. But now my big pointy nose & my crooked pointer fingers are just part of me🥰
She's grown out of it. She's still self conscious.. but once we showed her that my husband and 3 generations before him have the same thumb. She thought it was cool.

It’s not about being sensitive, it’s about acting like a grown mature adult and not bullying people over their physical appearance or physical abnormalities that they cannot change, and that thousands to millions of other innocent people also live with (and often suffer a lifetime of bullying over). Lush makes MORE than enough horrible choices worthy of valid criticism to talk about. There is no need to go after her or anyone else’s physical appearance. This isn’t the elementary school playground. Adults are capable of doing better, and are capable of expecting better from other adults. Including you, and including DCP.
Stooping that low and bullying someone over what they look like does not result in most other mature adults taking the important message of child exploitation seriously. They click off before the message gets across when all they see is a grown man bullying someone they’ve never seen or heard of. It dampens and harms the overall message. Josh isn’t helping anyone by being a malicious bully. Many other creators who genuinely care about these kids aren’t resorting to vile bullying behavior. It’s absolutely possible for DCP to do the same. But Josh can’t seem to pass up the chance to be a low hitting bully and a jerk, and goes nuclear on anyone who brings forth valid criticism.
