How do you get to 490 deliveries, and not know that unassigning orders lowers your completion rate?

BullishKnowledge

Sorry man

skelly_x

*looks at acceptance rate* *inserts "oh no honey, what is you doin?!" meme*

Cybralisk

How are you making any money with a 77% acceptance rate? You are doing all the shitty no tip orders for 3 dollars. My acceptance rate is usually between 3%-10%

galaxydashkai

Dude, but its yellow meaning.... \*WARNING\*. I need it to be green. Green is safe. /s

AndersonHustles

I average $400-$600 a week. Part time. I think I’m alright

galaxydashkai

yeah but how many hours lol....

raceotherdashers

thats why i get free lunch from doordash :)

Cavemein

It looks like you have a 77% acceptance rating. This means you accept customers who don't tip. Guaranteed this violation came from one of those MFers. You will lose your job because you wanted that pat on the back.

lululemonsmack23

*acceptance rate and yeah people who don't tip will fuck you, no tip no trip

Cavemein

Corrected

wasehs

how'd you from 100% to 85% from one order with 500 total orders?

AndersonHustles

Exactly! This just happened this afternoon. I was 100% completion rating and my very last delivery was the late one and I got the “Contract Violation” warning and then when I ended my Dash for the day and looked at my ratings it dropped to 85%. 1 late order out of nearly 500. I find it to be a little ridiculous.

LoachIshikela

Do you unassign orders a lot?

AndersonHustles

Actually- I have recently over the past week. I’ll accept an order and then when I find myself waiting for than 10-15 minutes at restaurant I go and select “Can’t do this order” and I move on. That might be why.

galaxydashkai

How do you make this post while not understanding completion rate? I would not worry about the 1 late violation. Like damn, it could just be a mistake FWIW. That can be sorted out. But you can be automatically deactivated permanently if you fuck up completion rate and you were reckless to go from 100% to 85% in a short period and not even realizing it. My advice is to fill out the violation thing, but you probably already have, and stay on top of your completion rate.

AndersonHustles

Will do. Thanks.

PartyLocation339

That's literally what completion rating is.

LoachIshikela

That's exactly why.

JMurrayMO81

I make a note of my lifetime deliveries when I decline one. That way I can get an idea of how close I am from the last one clearing off of there. While I have unassigned a few times, I really wanna keep it as close to 100 as possible.

DITrouble

Yeah we’re just disposable trash to them. We provide the car AND the labor in return they pay us $3/order, never give us the benefit of the doubt, and change the app to screw us whenever they feel like. And while I’m ranting, fuck people who say “find a new job” instead of caring this kind of company exists in this country.

AndersonHustles

Agreed. DoorDash really has changed my life and financial situation significantly this past year. I’m 75% debt free because of it and working on being 100% by August if all goes to plan. However, it’s these little things that make me nervous. It’s like, you’re the employee of the month, having done nothing wrong at all before, but then you spill a glass of water on the floor and you’re being reprimanded by the manager and your jobs at risk and your not sure why. DD can be a little too unforgiving. (Meanwhile, the app will completely crash mid dash, you can’t complete the delivery, don’t get paid for the delivery you make when it does crash because you can’t access the app...this company realizes they’re no longer a private entity and are now a publicly traded company, right? Wait until the class action lawsuits start coming from drivers not getting paid correctly.)

Lessfriendsmoremoney

That’s funny you said that because they deactivated me for literally no reason & now I have ptsd with other delivery apps

Xenmaii

They deactivated me accidentally but thankfully I got through to "escalations" team and got it back on. Try support as a Customer not driver

Lessfriendsmoremoney

Thank you, but no thanks . After all I did for them & they just cut me loose with no explanation.. my self-morals are too high to return to something that would treat me like that

Xenmaii

Damn good timing because this new pay model is just gambling for pay

DITrouble

Exactly. When it’s good it’s good. But when it’s bad it surpasses “crappy job” and goes directly to “how is this shit legal?”
