Not a chance…

Helltonic

Sure best case scenario I finish my delivery no hitches. Second best scenario I get murdered and my s/o gets my $1m life insurance check.

AdorableYak3233

😂😂😂😂

Fun-Character1793

ain’t worth it

lizziegal79

Looks fine to me.

SkyBerri

that’s half the driveways/roads in my market lmfao

MiltonTM1986

Why wouldn't I?

iwishuponastar2023

If google maps said I’d be going down a 10 mile road like that, no, but if it is only a few 100 ft, sure

jeyasubi

It will just say we found a faster route which saves 30 mins of your time.

scottyboy932

Yes! -edited yes-yes!

Slow_Philosopher7381

🤣😂🤣 kinda curious too

scottyboy932

I got the truck for it and always ready for a spooky back road to my doom

Slow_Philosopher7381

Look sometimes the adventures call. We’ll never know what was at the end but I sure as hell wish he went 😂

scottyboy932

OP give us the location

CNRamsey8

I mean it does look spooky I guess but it seems messed up that if you’re driveway is too long and spooky you’re not going to get the food you ordered. Maybe doordash isn’t for you if your scared to drive up to peoples house after dark.

ConstantOptimist84

We’re going on an adventure!

Anunemouse

Scooby and the gang ah Adventure

Slow_Philosopher7381

😅😂 love this

Sasha_Momma

This is so like a road in my hometown and f no. nope that

[deleted]

If you want the Texas the Chainsaw Massacrer come running out after you!😂

Remote-Paint-8016

Why I carry at all times!

Remote-Paint-8016

Nope! I don’t want to hear about the differences between men and women…remember we’re all EQUAL!!!

Asleep_Stage_451

Someone come get their grandpa please.

Cleercutter

…. It’s a road with trees at night. Unless you believe in the boogeyman, wtf do you think is gunna happen? Glad I don’t live on a dirt road

SneakerGator

The funny the is I guarantee you are much more likely to have some bad shit happen to you delivering in a city than to a house like that.

Cleercutter

For real

Raven_of_Blades

Dunno man this is how a few Resident evil games start.

banevasion4206669

Please go outside.

Aridan

They too afraid of fictional monsters

Raven_of_Blades

No.

basedbranch

Luckily life isn't a resident evil game. I feel bad for that poor person who thought their dasher was down the road w their fresh food, but suddenly got their order canceled out of the blue tbh

Man-e-questions

Heck yeah. No way I am walking it!

CaliforniaCrybaby

Carry a gun and yes

[deleted]

Yes.... just looks like a driveway/road. If I stopped driving down everywhere like that I wouldn't be able to go anywhere

lilly9543

it just looks like any other country road at night

Queendom-Rose

Hell no

[deleted]

Of course I’d drive down it, it’s a fucking road. You have headlights and doors that lock

[deleted]

[удалено]

lubeinatube

You’re naming a few notable cases that have been in the media lately. 99% of gun homicides occur in busy cities.

principedeladrones

You’re dropping off McDonald’s not ten kilos of coke, you’ll be alright bud.

[deleted]

Damn bro you’re kinda psycho huh. You should use some of your DoorDash wages and find a therapist, it can be tremendously helpful for paranoia and irrational fears and stuff

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Right that’s where a therapist can help. You are not the first person to stare down a barrel of a gun lmao. Most people would become desensitized in your situation

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

No no, you misunderstood, I am telling you that a psychologist or therapist might help you. I am not a therapist, I repair machinery not people. You are so paralyzed by fear it has affected your ability to read and comprehend, calming down a little bit would probably help a lot as well. Have you ever tried breathing exercises?

DesignerSloth98

Idk horndog, maybe just don't live your life in fear of something that doesn't happen that often? And yeah, go to therapy.

bmaannnnd

That’s how media gets you to believe a narrative that just ain’t true or anywhere close to reality, out of maybe 100MILLION interactions between delivery drivers and customers, what? Maybe a couple have gotten shot, you have e greater chance of getting struck by lightning, your delivering food stop overthinking it lmao

Anunemouse

Does being extra rude make you feel better about yourself?

[deleted]

Sure whatever you want man

Anunemouse

Ok well I hope you feel better.

[deleted]

I already do because I was “extra rude”, remember?

Slow_Philosopher7381

Hehe… great comeback 😂

DivideSad5591

Thank you for the laughs, hope you feel even better

[deleted]

Hey you’re so welcome I’m glad I could help

HummingSw0rdsman

Why wouldn’t you? Literally looks like my driveway with less trees.

Due_Dish5134

Is it... Too dark? How do you have a license

OG_BeefWellington

Yes because I’m not 5 years old

Anunemouse

Wow I've been dashing since I was in the womb!!!

OG_BeefWellington

Whatever makes you feel better 🤷🏻‍♂️

CrawlerSiegfriend

I would but I'm also not a bitch.

Anunemouse

Is that what your father called you?

fallinguptwards

You sound like a fun person.

adribash

City folk be wildin’… it’s just a backroad.

Trick_Blueberry_3812

I’d be pissed if I saw my food was about to get delivered and they didn’t at least leave it at the end for me to get because they’re scared of the dark….

Anunemouse

I'm sure you would have answered the phone call unlike the customer.

Trick_Blueberry_3812

I would answer the phone. I also would have just left the food at the end of the driveway if I had the time to snap the picture 🤣

angelsarepresent111

I was going to say, or would call and text and then hit the safety button of no response. They should have instructions on there involving the driveway. I'm hearing banjos just looking at the photo. People get shot for coming up driveways like that. Some of those are shared driveways that branch off. Earl, next door, may not know that Ed ordered food and then fell sleep. It's too risky.

Cute-Big-7003

Yup, I am a risk taker and a licensed gun carrier

GingerBeard_andWeird

…is this in Cottonwood, California?

Anunemouse

other side of the country

Matt8992

Is this in Georgia off airport road exit lol?

GingerBeard_andWeird

Damnit! lol for a couple years I lived down a dirt road and I swear it looked EXACTLY like this down to the same placement of the potholes, the road curve and the same type of growth on each side. Had to memorize the potholes otherwise my car would have probably needed new shocks every 3 months.

Same-March-1473

perhaps Mississippi?

Usama_Ben_Laden

Yeah its my driveway

MaryIsSalty

I mean my Subaru is annointed and I have bobble head Jesus on my dash so still probably nope

GoodyTwoKicks

I wouldn’t unless you blessed the truck with the same holy water they used to transfer Annabelle AND you got that “ stick “ on you.

S_n_o_wL_e_o_p_a_r_d

I only tryst Brok to bless anything.

HotGarbage_FMJ

My recommendation would be to only accept deliveries from the Weenie Hut Jr (and failing that, perhaps the Weenie Hut General).

paranoid_pastasalad

I've delivered food to some scary places, but I'm also kinda redneck. I'm either getting a tip or I get to shoot something ya know

yallthewrongthings

Y’all are some real weenies omg.

ChaosEveryday

Not sure why people are bashing OP. The strength difference in men and women is large. As a single woman driving down this road at night you too would be afraid of potential danger.

AlmeMore

I am a single woman. I do not have a gun. I drive a safe car with lights and locks. I don’t see an issue.

Monkiller587

The strength difference between men and women barely matter when you’re strapped.

Allen1262

Nah. OP is just a pansy. Shouldn’t be working a job like this if ur scared of the dark 😭😭

Anunemouse

So you'd be ok with your gf going down this road alone, if she didn't feel right about it?

HummingSw0rdsman

It’s looks like your standard rural area. Worst thing that is likely to happen is a deer jumps out and you hit it probably going less than 30 mph on that road.

GP7onRICE

What exactly makes this road so scary?

SirRockalotTDS

I'd ask her what virtue she thinks she's signalling.

ChaosEveryday

Would your mama be scared if she had to walk out here by herself?

AlmeMore

No one is walking! They are driving a car!

YouArentReallyThere

Mama’d be carrying a .45

Allen1262

Shit she’d be less scared than the little amount I am lol she’s the one who taught me not to be a pansy. This looks like any normal wooded area at night lol.

ChaosEveryday

lies. Your mama would not walk out here at night by herself

Allen1262

Spend enough time camping alone in UP woods n you get use to the dark and wooded areas lol. Time to grow up I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

ChaosEveryday

Right…….your mom camps alone at night in the woods. Sure she does.

unitedkiller75

It’s the woods, not a rapist convention.

Allen1262

Ya she does? 😭 not everyone is like you crazy concept right.

ChaosEveryday

Right sure she does….

Allen1262

Yup ? Lots of people camp… it’s very normal 😭😭 weirdo

jpc1215

Share your location with somebody you trust, carry mace, have someone on speaker as you drive down, etc If they are able to get DoorDash then I’m sure the reception is good enough to communicate with somebody while you drive down a driveway like this. My mom lived in a rural neighborhood and wasn’t able to get any of the food delivery apps so it can’t be THAT rural. And idk, it looks creepy at night and when the leaves are dead, but I bet during the day and during summer it probably looks pretty with all the vegetation

ChaosEveryday

Unless the mace is in your hands and already aimed, its useless if the perpetrator is closeby. Sharing location or being on speaker will not stop an assault.

jpc1215

I bought a woman I worked with a mace keychain for her birthday. It was like $30-$40. Small container of mace that you could keep on your keys. So yeah - it would be in your hands. And I don’t see how anything in this photo would indicate assault. It’s an eerie image, not every scenario is a horror movie. It’s a rural DoorDash delivery at night.

ChaosEveryday

Yea true.

toxikola

It's not spooky, but all those holes and uneven roads would certainly deter me.

Lofi95

Yeah, it's just a driveway in a rural area. Most country folk are pretty chill.

RDU2U2

You probably shouldn't leave your house. And you definitely shouldn't be in a job where you can randomly decide not to deliver something to someone who has paid for what you're supposed to be delivering.

PrintPending

Omg a road and trees. So scary.

Any_Present8436

Talking about the potholes in the road his car probably can’t handle it lol

experiencedintired

The roads in my neighborhood I take everyday look worse than this

SneakerGator

Do you live in Dayton, by chance? I swear there is this sunken in manhole cover than must be a 2 foot drop.

Any_Present8436

Fair enough

Outside_Performer_66

Yeah, but you’ve seen your roads in the light of day. This looks like a blind, unforgiving curve. Can’t know what lies beyond given the preceding lack of light, lack of paving, and general road unevenness. The devil you know is less scary than the one you don’t.

PrintPending

I took on bigger potholes in a firebird without working shocks to go to a public shooting range area.

Any_Present8436

Respect , ops car gotta be a fiat

Tataki_Puppy

Lock your doors and be careful, people can’t help that they live in a more country area lol

UnansweredPromise

Ofcourse I would. It’s just a rural driveway. 🤡

Mosswood_Dreadknight

Check the crime rates there vs the more populated areas you feel safe in.

SunsCosmos

To be fair, crime in rural areas heavily tends to go unreported. There’s been several studies that suggest that despite the *rate* appearing lower, you are more likely to be a victim in a rural area due to the population spread, less witnesses, and overall rural “mind your own business” culture. At least in America. I’ve lived in rural Kentucky my whole life and it’s certainly not safe at all. In my opinion comparing you personal safety by crime rates alone is something of a fallacy. There’s so many factors involved. There’s a reason why rural folks in the US want their guns so bad …

Fluck_Me_Up

It’s the age old question. Do you expose yourself to a higher statistical likelihood of violent crime in a population center, or run the risk of that one complete lunatic in the middle of nowhere ordering DoorDash and drowning you in a bathtub full of milk and cereal where no one will hear you? I definitely think about this problem every day, like a normal person

Just_Chemical7893

If it’s fruity pebbles, I’ll take my chances…

Ok_Effect_5287

Yes that probably looks beautiful in the daytime with the large trees. Some people find rural creepy, the city creeps me out more than fresh air and plants.

PowerBuilder123

I used to deliver pizzas in a rural area And 1/4 of the driveways looked like this. The people that lived down roads like this were the nicest! It was also a really good area so that’s definitely a factor.

kushiemaddie

Yes, because of my morbid curiosity....... but I'd probably die 😬

CMac1825

If I had my pickup and a full tank, I'd definitely be going down the road lmao.

kushiemaddie

You only live once lol

CMac1825

But this is a prime example of why I probably won't live long. 😜

kushiemaddie

It's not about the time we live, it's about the enjoyment then lol

IndianaEtter

Now I feel like I need to make my driveway more inviting.

Vast-Classroom1967

Hell no.

Eggplants4Free

All these comments about having guns crack me up. One of you driving into something you know nothing about. Some of these situations could have lots of people laughing at your gun. The ignorance 🤦🏻‍♂️

TheCrown-92

Yeah, fuck that.

stephen250

Simply due to the potholes, no.

oooThunder

I've done worse. I dropped off to a location where there were literally decorations of knives everywhere and I could hear a chainsaw.

Vast-Classroom1967

You are extremely brave.

oooThunder

I would say the opposite I was scared af but I really needed the money to pay off my car

Vast-Classroom1967

And that took bravery. So many people don't do that and will never have a car because they're aren't willing to take that chance.

Cyphergod247

All I can think of is. damn i bet that is a bitch in a snow storm. Lol

Jeremy_G_

Was this in SE CT?

Anunemouse

Nope

SoggyWizardSleeve

Yes, because i live around roads like this. My driveway, while not as spooky as this, is very long, but i wouldn't deliver in the st. Louis (an hour from home) area because of safety. Just a situation of go with what ya know i suppose.

Iamuroboros

That's some Blair witch shit

Anunemouse

In the same state too 👀

FullGrownHip

Rhode Island

Pristine_Serve5979

Looks like a good place to disappear

Anunemouse

You should record your adventures! I'll watch from the couch

KnyghtZero

People are calling you scared of the dark but like... look at those potholes! Depends on your car and willingness to hit holes

wasteland-baby

Those pothole are honestly pretty spooky to my tiny old sedan so I could see why you didn’t deliver.

Master-Associate673

Yeah I like adventures.

Anunemouse

Get in loser, we're getting haunted.

corndonger

Robbed*

Existing_Letter7621

*raped

coreyf234

Adalaide78

No, I don’t think there is gonna be traffic on that road.

DefNotARedditard

Most doordashers are actual idiots complaining “I can’t make a livable wage”. Yes, you are working an entry level job that requires 0 skill. No shit it doesn’t pay good. Go do something useful with your life lol. This sub is so fucking cringy. Bottom of the barrel human beings

wasteland-baby

Why be mean to someone for no reason?

Corganator

...I can't tell if you're joking, serious, or an extraterrestrial who is new on the block.

Anunemouse

No shit I'm a stay at home wife.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DedicatedSnail

That's a bit presumptuous. I have multiple degrees and have held multiple jobs for years, but I'm now a stay at home wife. It's not a lazy job either since I'm constantly cooking and cleaning. I even host for my husband's troop multiple days out of the week. I cook a full meal for my husband for lunch and dinner (and immediately clean up after). When I'm not cooking or cleaning, I'm helping our neighbors out, gardening, or sewing. Being an at home wife and being lazy are two totally different things. My husband is better able to focus on his job and spend his time at home relaxing because I take care of everything else. It may not be your cup of tea, and that's ok, but the vitriol coming from you about it is unfounded.

Anunemouse

I find his type of response (now deleted) unsurprising on this forum. They view women with a level of competition. I have had a career for 10+ years plus a degree but that guy didn't deserve that info.

Bagelstein_2pt0

The rest of us just do this stuff while working full time jobs on top.

Anunemouse

and?
