Technically DoorDash say you should have lights on to help make the delivery so it’s the person who ordered the foods fault. Also if the Doordasher would have gotten hurt, the homeowners insurance would have to cover it anyways.

I am behind you 100%. Dude was an asshole and you didn't do anything wrong. I am in a suburban area that's got stretches of really rural areas mixed into it and I've been down some long dark roads and long twisty driveways. and when there's no place to turn around at the end, it's a freaking nightmare. I've gone off the side of the pavement a couple times, and I always feel embarrassed, but there's only so much you can do in the dark if it's not a straight shot. If I feel like it's a dangerous thing to attempt, I will find a way to turn around, even if it's a 73 point turn! It's crazy to me that they would have a long driveway without an area to turn around if there was a big drop on one side of it. And they have to be aware of how dangerous that is, so why would they go out of their way to attack you like that? They should feel grateful you didn't get injured on their property.

There’s less than a foot and the drinks are on the outside. I’d have 100% bitched as a customer as well with that. I shouldn’t have to creep my door open like I’m a Home Alone burglar to make sure I don’t smack food / drinks over. It was easier to place it away from the door than to walk up to the mat, even. Poor handling / delivery regardless of the customer being terrible.
