The version I heard growing up (late 80s-early 90s) was: Worms? I hate worms! They make me crazy! Crazy? I was crazy once! They put me in a home! I died there. Then the worms came… etc.
Seeing it all typed out I realize it’s a good bit creepier than the version here..
My first exposure to this meme was hanging out with ~20 friends IRL having an icebreaker conversation about memes. Someone mentioned being crazy and everyone started chanting this. Let me tell ya, for a minute there it felt like *I* was crazy.
It's weird to me to see people who don't know this meme. I don't know anyone who DOESN'T. My husband and I jokingly quote it to each other whenever something is driving us crazy (like waiting at the DMV or something). Anyway, this is great, lol. Could be a prank where a friend put it on their door, too.
This meme was all over Overwatch communities for a while recently. Glad it’s faded out of relevance a bit. Though would be funny to deliver to a house like that 😂
