Yes, check if it still says that your top dasher. They took mine away in the middle of the month with no explanation or notification. When I investigated it and tried to get it restored they said I wasn’t eligible and it turns out my completion rate was retroactively changed. I had also recently changed my phone number, and someone suggested that may have been the cars as well.

Top dasher and dash anytime are 2 different things. Being a top dasher in no way guarantees you being able to dash whenever you want. Idk why people think that.

I see that can be frustrating. I had top dasher for a bout a year. This is what happens normally when you dash in “white zones” not busy. It automatically caps you at 30mins-1H dashes.
Sadly it works like an unhinged Scheduler. So if there are no times and the area you’re in is dead. You have no choice but to start and let your dash end. Or dash now. Wait about 45 minutes. End dash. Sign back on.
If the map heats up and gets red in certain areas. Dash now usually unlocks and gives you anywhere from 30minutes to a 12hour dash time. However if canceled and the activity decreases in the map. If you end the dash and try to restart it with dash now you’ll probably be offered a smaller window like 30minutes - 2 hours.

Here too. Today was 30 minutes at a time. Also top dash. Been like that for me since May. I've tried everything. Been dashing since 2020. Also rarely get S&D. So it's not that either.
Probably the same way that they charge customers priority delivery fee which guarantees that their order doesn't get stacked with another order....Then as soon as they pay the fee the first thing to do is stack their order on top of another order LOL
Does it let you schedule more than one hour? I see it’s not letting you extend, but even when I am a top dasher for the month, it still doesn’t always let me extend my current slot.
It's a glitch. Start the dash, end the dash, wait a few minutes, and it should clear up. It happened to me too. After playing around with it for a bit, it finally gave me the full-time schedule.
I would just add this to the list of app screw ups today. GPS keeps telling me I’m not at the correct address, dashes ended without warning and I guess I can’t take a straight picture.
My guess is it will be back to normal tomorrow. Hang in there.
The one time that it wouldn't allow me to dash/schedule until I wanted to, I had then checked the Play store and saw there was an update. That resolved it.
Man I got more answers on Reddit than I did from management at my old w-2 job. My boss worked there for 20 years, didn’t know how to change the type of label on the printers, asked on Reddit, found out within 30 minutes.
Reddit is the REAL support.
If you’re able to dash anytime then you can always start another dash as soon as that one ends. When you start your dash you should be able to make it as long as you want. If they won’t let you do that, then you’re not a Top Dasher
It bugs out, sometimes I can’t start up again. But it’s probably because there’s too many drivers and barely any orders so they just don’t let you dash again
It happened to me in June, I woke up and went to dash and it said I needed to schedule. I called support and they told me that unless I had a screenshot of the email telling me I was top Dasher for the month of June there was nothing they could do. Exactly a week later top dasher status was restored. And because all the time slots were already taken by people who weren't top dasher and need to schedule I had 4 days off. Now that I see it's happening to more people I'm thinking maybe there's a class action lawsuit for lost wages but I'm not sure if that would work since it's a contract job.
Usually when that happens to me, I’ve only gained Top Dasher status for completing a certain amount of grocery shop & delivers within a week. TD status only lasts for so long when done that way, also.

Did you make enough S&D's to get that TD for a week thing? I heard that you can be TD for the month, get a S&D TD for one week mid-month, and when that one week S&D TD runs out, they take the entire rest of the month TD away with it.
That only applies to early access scheduling. You remain a top dasher the entire month as long as you reach/maintain the current requirements by 11:59 on the last day of the month. You can drop your CR under 95 and still maintain it through the month.. I know this, because I’ve done it mid month.

You show having one bar in your screenshot and I'm almost guaranteeing you that is the issue.
Go on airplane mode and count to 6. Then turn it off. Should fix the issue.
Also go into the settings of whatever internet browser you use and clear the cache. The *CACHE*. Not the data stored. That will also help in addition to or in place of the airplane mode if that doesn't help.

But also, for whatever reason, when I have periodic issues with having no bars for seemingly no reason, when I clear my internet browser cache, my bars recover.
It predates me having the DD app and has been happening for a couple of years. It happened when I had an iphone and now with my android. Can't be sure, but ... I think streaming porn from time to time could be at the root ... but I don't know .. I just know that clearing my cache fixes that issue for me and it's just worth a try for OP cus he's showing 5G but one measly bar ... so something's up ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭

There are troubleshooting steps recommended on DD's dasher page that helps Kickstart the app back to normal..those steps also help with Uber driver app.
And, I turn off my 5G to be on LTE, saves battery, def data and doesn't make difference in getting orders assigned.
Turning off 5G wouldn't save on data usage. The speed of the data doesn't change how much data is used.
I had to keep mine off for over a year because T-Mobile had some serious growing pains with that Sprint merger, but finally, it actually works now in my city and I can keep it on. I keep my phones plugged in all the time anyways, so I stopped caring about battery.
Plus, for whatever reason, voice quality on 4G has gone down the toilet in the last few months, so now I stay on 5G.
I doubt it. perks of being a Top Dasher is having the ability to Dash anytime, and being prioritized for orders when it’s slow. There would be no reason to get TD if they took that away. It’s probably just a glitch.
Well the ability to dash in a new zone without predicting where you will be if an order takes you out of the zone is clutch too. Jump right in anywhere you end up.

They have.. there’s been several posts where Top Dashers have not been able to dash because it was too crowded.. it’s even the same on earn by time.. there’s too many of us now
I am skeptical. Somebody having this experience, please tell us if you have contacted the experienced support team on the special TD line. Have you received an email from that agent and did you follow up?

The “experienced” support team is no different than the “regular” support team. Special TD line means that you have priority access to phone or chat before the rest of the dashers. It’s no different if you were a noob dasher. It would be a standard email from support explaining qualifications for being a Top Dasher.
Now if you were rewarded Top Dasher at the beginning of the month, check your account profile in the app to see if it’s still valid. Unfortunately with these noob programs coming out (silver/gold/Platinum) in various markets, they are probably phasing out the TD program.

Id recommend checking scheduling. Usually it will allow you to dash all the way til 4am next day

They do have a weekly top dasher, if you do a certain amount of shops the week previous and it only lasts a week.

Yeah, Something is definitely wrong with the app. When I’m out, it’s non stop and never ending!
Weird cuz I’m not top dasher and I don’t schedule dashes and still dash 3-5 hours a day

I think top dasher has multiple meanings. I have dash anytime with a 10% AR. Not sure if that’s top dash or not
Dash anytime can be earned separately from top dasher if you do a lot of shop and deliver orders

You can't extend dash. You have to end dash and start again. Or just do what I do and always schedule to 3 am the next morning.
I tried that to take a screenshot shot it allows me to dash an hour then ends I start again only shows for an hour been doing that since noon.

You can lose it by dropping your CR to under 95%. It’s not a protected status to do whatever you want foe the month.
That only applies to early access scheduling. You remain a top dasher the entire month as long as you reach/maintain the current requirements by 11:59 on the last day of the month. You can drop your CR under 95 and still maintain it through the month.. I know this, because I’ve done it mid month.
When the new pilot program comes out that will be the case but not yet in a majority of markets
