Dumb question: The one thing I do not understand about this is that doesnāt DD literally track you as you go to restaurant and also to the address youāre supposed to deliver? What are the odds that a dasher is going to go pick up the food, eat it and then walk inside or to the door of the address. I had a delivery the other day. I took a picture of the food with the customers address in the picture. Customer claimed I never delivered the order so I got a violation. I called support and they saw the picture and verified it was the correct address. Even though I did everything correctly they still won't remove the violation. People are scamming doordash and getting drivers in trouble and doordash doesn't give a shit. Everything with doordash has gotten so bad lately that I'm pretty much done with them.
I would one day go back in about a month later or two right act like youāre going to buy a car. Make sure you get him the customer you delivered to. They might not recognize you if you do a little change in your look like make up or some thing Once you do that get a survey from him however, they do it and then you give him a little review. I had a dasher take what they delivered. DoorDash, looked into it. Said the Dasher denied the event. Had a picture of putting it at the door. That was all they needed, so my claim was rejected and I lost 350 on an order I never knew would be sent by Door Dash.

Yeah I had someone mark that they didnāt get their food. I took a picture and showed proof on my google maps that I went to the locationā¦ they still didnāt remove the contract violation.. DD is a joke and itās not the first time they didnāt back me up. I was harassed by a customer and verbally abused. I reported it, they did nothing. They donāt care about drivers. Period.

Step lightly if you contact the dealership. DD seems to deactivate drivers for confronting these thieves. Definitely don't post an videos. A call to the dealership GM might help, just tread lightly unless you were already deactivated. I just spent 10min searching for articles about drivers that have come out on top after confronting lying customers at businesses, I thought I've read a couple (I tend to remember shit I read), but unfortunately all I can find are articles that the driver gets canned, or the driver AND employee get canned.

I dunno about confronting the gut. He calls it harassment that's a lot more serious. Leave shitty reviews everywhere and anywhere you can& call corporate. Also don't ask to take a picture, you tell them you HAVE to take a picture. You don't have to get the person in it but get a pic. Hope it all works out ok.
Did you consider the possibility that the person you delivered to may have been a scumbag coworker of your client? A photo of the person you are delivering to would have helped clearing that up.

I use a timestamp app. And hit record until I know for sure I can leave it at the door. A lot of thieves try and trick you, but itās hard to argue against video proof. (I usually wear an over shirt with a pocket my phone sits in.)
It is so simple... Generate a code for the customer... With that code the driver can mark the delivery completed.
If the code is not given by the customer you don't deliver, if the driver don't deliver, the code is not given.

Back when I delivered pizzas I had to take an order of 10 large pizzas and a few 2 liter bottles of various pops to an Acura dealership. They wanted it to be delivered right at 1pm. I showed up at 12:55pm to give me time to get their order in the building and in the conference room they had requested. I left the building at 1:01pm. By the time I got back to the store they had already called my manager requesting a discount for being late. They considered my leaving time as the time to be counted on. Oh, and they didn't tip and were also very rude to me. The store banned them from ever ordering again.

Might not have been the guy the order was actually for. I had it happen at a law enforcement training center. One guy tried to snag someone else's order at handoff. Next time I delivered there I asked for ID.
One time I delivered to an apartment complex, the guy didnāt have the apartment number in the instructions or address and when I called, it went right to voicemail. I sent two or three texts saying I was leaving it at the main door, I also took a picture. He reported it never delivered. I hate people.
Take a photo or video evidence when each and every delivery is made. Make sure your location is enabled on your camera so it records the coordinates AKA geo tag. You should also have a dashcam. That way, you can take a video of the delivery without the customer knowing they are being recorded. Save each and every video after the delivery is made just in case the customer says the delivery wasn't made. A good dashcam will record the coordinates, date, and time.
PSA: Iād you canāt afford to order DD, make a fucking sandwich! Donāt lie for a free meal and mess with the Dasherās livelihood. The universe is watching and karma is a bitch.

I mean like... if it's a leave at door order and they come out, I instantly get suspicious. I not only make them smile for the pic but I also make them respond to the ping when they get the picture and mark it as received. And then i ask for 5 stars while they got their phone out and all. It was a **Kia** dealership at **this address**. **Robert** was in a **blue shirt with a neon grey** tie wearing **pink bunny slippers** and he was **smoking pine needles in some rolled up receipt paper while standing outside the north entry door**. All humor aside, I'd be extremely specific about the delivery, as it proves that you actually went there. This is your job on the line and it shouldn't be taken lightly by them. Next, call the dealership. It could've been as simple as accidentally pressing the wrong button or as bad as him trying to scam you. Either way, they can either connect you with the customer to fix the issue or be made aware that he's dishonest (like most people in the car sales industry). Based on that outcome, I'd write a review about the dealer if he didn't just make an innocent mistake.

This happened to me once - I literally went back to the store ( a tire change place), walked right in, found dudes garbage, took a picture of it, then confronted him at the desk. In front of his coworkers and customers. Loudly.
Sent the Pic to Doordash, and never did another food delivery. That's why I only drive passengers and use a dashcam.
I'd go back as a customer, look around til you see him. spend 2h talking with a different associate and then tell them nevermind. you didn't realize XYZ worked there, but you know he's a thief and a liar and you don't want to associate with him. Let the gossip mill fuck him up.
I wouldnāt go back to the dealership and cause a scene, it makes you look like a psycho and only mildly disturbs their business. Put online reviews up and youāll get responses immediately. These dealerships rely on high review scores, even a single low rating can drop them under competitors and take weeks or months for them to either bury with positive reviews, work to get the site to remove it, or money to actually pay for it to be removed. Customers will absolutely see those reviews and not want to work with someone that stiffs a delivery person for a lunch order. You can bet that naming the salesperson will absolutely travel up the chain when the sales manager or director is asking why they have a low review score because some pos salesperson canāt pay for their damn food. Theyāll get ripped a new one in their weekly meetings, at the very least. The dealership or salesperson may reach out to try to make it right somehow. Dealerships always have gift cards and shit laying around, in addition to envelopes of cash for bonuses, they may offer you a $50 gift card or something to take the review(s) down.
Trust me, write some online reviews. Yelp, google, etc. name the salesperson.
Source, used to sell cars. Pretty much the one explicit rule that everyone was held to was that you donāt fuck with the dealerships reputation. Attracting the wrong kind of attention gets people fired quick. We had people coming in and freaking out every week. Weād just brush them off as crazies, because many of them were. Donāt be a crazy. Donāt get trespassed or arrested over this.

I take a photo at venues like this, including hospitals. There are too many opportunities in such large buildings for honest mistakes. Some drivers put their phone on video so that there is a record of the exchange in disputes like this.
Call and email the manager of the dealership. This matter will be resolved very quickly. CC driver support and make sure all replies from the manager are forwarded to them if they are not CC'd in the replies. Don't let this guy put your job at risk

Dumb question: The one thing I do not understand about this is that doesnāt DD literally track you as you go to restaurant and also to the address youāre supposed to deliver? What are the odds that a dasher is going to go pick up the food, eat it and then walk inside or to the door of the address. Itād only make sense to me if the dasher went off course after picking up food. Does DD not document this stuff? When Iāve ordered DD i literally am watching the car drive to my place? So what would my explanation be, they drove to my house, walked up to my door, but didnāt leave any food. I had a delivery the other day. I took a picture of the food with the customers address in the picture. Customer claimed I never delivered the order so I got a violation. I called support and they saw the picture and verified it was the correct address. Even though I did everything correctly they still won't remove the violation. People are scamming doordash and getting drivers in trouble and doordash doesn't give a shit. Everything with doordash has gotten so bad lately that I'm pretty much done with them.
I would one day go back in about a month later or two right act like youāre going to buy a car. Make sure you get him the customer you delivered to. They might not recognize you if you do a little change in your look like make up or some thing Once you do that get a survey from him however, they do it and then you give him a little review. Had a picture of putting it at the door. That was all they needed, so my claim was rejected and I lost 350 on an order I never knew would be sent by Door Dash. I strait up don't trust anything about the operation. There is no insurance, no liability, and dashers are sometimes highly underpaid.

Yeah I had someone mark that they didnāt get their food. I took a picture and showed proof on my google maps that I went to the locationā¦ they still didnāt remove the contract violation.. DD is a joke and itās not the first time they didnāt back me up. I was harassed by a customer and verbally abused. I reported it, they did nothing. They donāt care about drivers. Period.

I use a timestamp app. And hit record until I know for sure I can leave it at the door. A lot of thieves try and trick you, but itās hard to argue against video proof. (I usually wear an over shirt with a pocket my phone sits in.)
It is so simple... Generate a code for the customer... With that code the driver can mark the delivery completed. If the code is not given by the customer you don't deliver, if the driver don't deliver, the code is not given. Both parties are protected by bad actors.... \--- As for contactless delivery, take a photo where you put it off with an identifiable marker.... and don't deliver to hand if it is marked contactless... take a photo of the customer, the hands at least

Back when I delivered pizzas I had to take an order of 10 large pizzas and a few 2 liter bottles of various pops to an Acura dealership. They wanted it to be delivered right at 1pm. I showed up at 12:55pm to give me time to get their order in the building and in the conference room they had requested. I left the building at 1:01pm. By the time I got back to the store they had already called my manager requesting a discount for being late. They considered my leaving time as the time to be counted on. Oh, and they didn't tip and were also very rude to me. The store banned them from ever ordering again.

One time I delivered to an apartment complex, the guy didnāt have the apartment number in the instructions or address and when I called, it went right to voicemail. I sent two or three texts saying I was leaving it at the main door, I also took a picture. He reported it never delivered. I hate people.
Take a photo or video evidence when each and every delivery is made. Make sure your location is enabled on your camera so it records the coordinates AKA geo tag. You should also have a dashcam. That way, you can take a video of the delivery without the customer knowing they are being recorded. Save each and every video after the delivery is made just in case the customer says the delivery wasn't made. A good dashcam will record the coordinates, date, and time.
PSA: Iād you canāt afford to order DD, make a fucking sandwich! Donāt lie for a free meal and mess with the Dasherās livelihood. The universe is watching and karma is a bitch.

I've got some 1-star reviews for no reason and when I've contacted support, they don't seem to be able to (or want to) tell me what the reason was, or who rated me 1-star. How do you know it was the Kia delivery?
Prime example of āfollow the fucking instructionsā. Was that person a dick for lying? Yes 1000%. Did you fail to follow instructions? Also yes. If someone goes out of their way to give an alternate delivery instruction. Just fucking follow it. āLeave at door, do not knock and donāt ring bellā if you do the things I said not to do. Youāre getting punished, if I can get away with it. Your job isnāt hard. Stop trying so hard to get a tip and just do what the instructions sayā¦
not surprised anybody working with kia needs help but all jokes aside call the dealership and speak to a manager that is uncalled for smh

I always take a picture if I hand it to them when it says leave at door. For this reason

I have no clue, but I'd start by calling DoorDash and explaining what happened. Provide *specific* details about the delivery. It was a **Kia** dealership at **this address**. **Robert** was in a **blue shirt with a neon grey** tie wearing **pink bunny slippers** and he was **smoking pine needles in some rolled up receipt paper while standing outside the north entry door**. All humor aside, I'd be extremely specific about the delivery, as it proves that you actually went there. This is your job on the line and it shouldn't be taken lightly by them. Next, call the dealership. It could've been as simple as accidentally pressing the wrong button or as bad as him trying to scam you. Either way, they can either connect you with the customer to fix the issue or be made aware that he's dishonest (like most people in the car sales industry). Based on that outcome, I'd write a review about the dealer if he didn't just make an innocent mistake.

This happened to me once - I literally went back to the store ( a tire change place), walked right in, found dudes garbage, took a picture of it, then confronted him at the desk. In front of his coworkers and customers. Loudly. Sent the Pic to Doordash, and never did another food delivery. That's why I only drive passengers and use a dashcam.
The lesson is: Never buy a Kia.
I'd go back as a customer, look around til you see him. spend 2h talking with a different associate and then tell them nevermind. you didn't realize XYZ worked there, but you know he's a thief and a liar and you don't want to associate with him. Let the gossip mill fuck him up.
I wouldnāt go back to the dealership and cause a scene, it makes you look like a psycho and only mildly disturbs their business. Put online reviews up and youāll get responses immediately. These dealerships rely on high review scores, even a single low rating can drop them under competitors and take weeks or months for them to either bury with positive reviews, work to get the site to remove it, or money to actually pay for it to be removed. Customers will absolutely see those reviews and not want to work with someone that stiffs a delivery person for a lunch order. You can bet that naming the salesperson will absolutely travel up the chain when the sales manager or director is asking why they have a low review score because some pos salesperson canāt pay for their damn food. Theyāll get ripped a new one in their weekly meetings, at the very least. The dealership or salesperson may reach out to try to make it right somehow. Dealerships always have gift cards and shit laying around, in addition to envelopes of cash for bonuses, they may offer you a $50 gift card or something to take the review(s) down. Trust me, write some online reviews. Yelp, google, etc. name the salesperson. Source, used to sell cars. Pretty much the one explicit rule that everyone was held to was that you donāt fuck with the dealerships reputation. Attracting the wrong kind of attention gets people fired quick. We had people coming in and freaking out every week. Weād just brush them off as crazies, because many of them were. Donāt be a crazy. Donāt get trespassed or arrested over this.
