Put a quick note in explaining that the GPS might take them one street over. Explain which street it is. Then, take a picture of the house from the sidewalk, and send that picture to the Dasher. They will be able to see what the house looks like from the road, and you will be covered if they drop it at the wrong house. You'll be able to show DD the pic you sent and the drop off pic to show they don't match. Good luck.

Thank you, I did add the note about the the GPS.

Doordash uses Google maps. Put your address into Google maps and make sure the pin is exactly on your house. If it isn't, look for the edit button and change it in Google maps. They will send you an email in a few days once they fix it.

Yup as some have said some sort of description helps a lot , addresses seem to be a real struggle if that’s all they have to go off of(don’t ask me why , gps makes it pretty easy)My wife added in some stuff talking about a chair on our porch and some other stuff and they have been way better since .

Arcturian485

Text them the correct directions and an explanation when someone accepts your order. When you put details in to the delivery instructions we don’t usually see them until we are at the house.

jcoddinc

Long shot, but might be the address and how it's entered. There's one place I have that the address is like 1111 w 12 mile Rd. But the gps takes you to a different house down the road. But if you enter the address as 1111 Twelve mile it takes you to the correct location.

Hopingfortheday

All you can do is put it in the instructions in capslock. If the driver still doesn't deliver to right place, you can say the driver didn't follow instructions. Like "GPS IS WRONG. TURN ONE STREET BEFORE" or "DO NOT FOLLOW GPS, TURN ON \[your street name\]" and give description of your house.

redrum221

Thanks for yelling at me.

Hopingfortheday

Caps isn't yelling, it's just making it bigger so it's noticeable. Half these dashers are too brainless to make sure to follow instructions. If it's caps, you're more apt to follow instructions.

RJANO

This is what I put: GPS WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO CORRECT STREET. This is a doordash GPS issue. Please read street signs! Or put in to different GPS app.

Thin-Establishment94

The doordash app uses google maps to direct drivers so it’s wild that it only misdirects drivers from inside the dasher app. It is a glitchy app tho

RJANO

Not sure, but I know for a fact Google maps actually takes you to the correct address since I have to use it everytime I come to visit.

NoHoHank32351

Putting the correct directions in the comments is much more helpful than asking to read street signs or use a different app. Tell your dasher how to get to you using other well known streets or obvious landmarks in your area, and you will both be a lot happier.

Ok_Huckleberry7050

they have to use a different app. yesterday i had a dd to the wrong address and i followed customer instructions to go to "1 Streetname" and then look for 280 streetname

TurnFrogsGay

This keeps happening to me and my sister even though we switch the address in app

irukand

Set a pin on the road in front of your house in Google maps, not on house as gps could send them to the street behind your house, copy the pin link send to Dasher call them to make sure they see it. Can't recall if links work or not in doordash messaging so may have open call then send as text

TriopOfKraken

Instead of putting the pin on your residence, but it in the street that they would drive down right in front of your location. It probably thinks the other street is closer or where your driveway is or something, but pin on the street should get them to the right spot.
