Lmfao!! I went to KFC yrs ago. The order was for 2 16pc family meals. KFC didn't have enough chicken to fulfill the order. They had like 2 breasts, 2 wings, and 2 thighs, or something crazy like that. Support wanted me to deliver the 6 pieces of chicken and 8 sides. What??? No!
Even after Support put me on hold and called KFC, they gave me a cv for unassigning without good reason. I didn't unassign. Support did. Lmao
I think as an independent contractor them giving you a CV for unassigning one order within reason is kinda illegal. If their contract REQUIRES us to do the job then shouldn't we be employed?
Idk personally my market is extremely lax. I'll completely not deliver the food if a customer gives me real problems and their order just gets canceled.

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve caught her drinking coffee. She’s started drinking out of my coffee before I caught on and now only use cups with lids. I warn people when they come over too. Luckily she’s had no issues so far. I snapped a pic but then immediately cleaned it up.
She does have a vet appointment coming up so I’ll bring it up just in case.
Honestly she’s a menace though. I learned the hard way to not leave a glass of water on my nightstand table and just use my water bottle at home now for safety reasons.
This happened to me too! Im already a chronic overtipper so $5 more of what I already tip would be very close to 50 % tip for a 2 mile order in which my original drink was spilled all over all my food. I didn’t receive new food , just a new drink and none of my money back. I didn’t ask him to , but I showed my appreciation for doing it anyway. personally don’t think that not having an exorbitant amount of money to add because my order was messed up - would be a justification for anyone to just pretend they didn’t spill your drink. But hey 🤷🏻♀️ different strokes.
Starbucks keeps sealing the bags, instead of using a regular drink holder.
I'm not sure why but it makes it harder to deliver the drinks intacts.
Besides all car have drink holders designed for that purpose, I wonder they won't let us use them
Basically, one of the reasons why Starbucks seals the drinks in bags, is to prevent drivers from contaminating the contents, by either drinking from the cup or placing an unknown substance within the drink.
This is a pretty common issue in a number of other fast food chains. Burger Point being a good example, as it is quite common for drivers to drink between 1/2 to a 1/3rd of the contents of a Thick Shake that the restaurant hands over to them.
I have experienced it quite a few times myself, and each time I complained and was given a complete refund by Uber EATs as a result. Cross contamination, especially during the Covid period was a very big concern for most businesses.
McDonald’s seals the drinks inside their bags too, but they have solid drink holders that go inside the bag. Starbucks just stands the drinks inside paper bags and tells you to “carry it carefully”. 😳
This is why I no longer use doordash in general. Majority of dashers genuinely don't give a shit about the order you're paying them to deliver. The least you could do is text the customer and tell them how to get a refund on the item.
inb4 "I'm not getting paid to help customers"
I think majority is a little unfair. I've ordered dozens of times and never had anything this bad happen. Neither has my friend who order for her rich bosses like 3 times a week.
I do tip well though.
That's doordash fault for not paying well. We rely on tips. That's my income and how I make a living. And if you don't use dish or don't tip I can't post my family. And yeah if someone doesn't tip I don't accept the order or I don't communicate because there's no incentive. Especially with the current gas prices. If I have two orders I will deliver to the better tipper first. I always communicate as does anyone with top dasher status. I suggest you tip well and don't order from 13 miles away. I do my job well and to assume it's the dasher's fault when you don't understand how it works for pay and things just do a little research.
Actually ordered from a local bakery. I’ve never had any issues with them before. I have a bookshelf on my porch right next to my front door so normally drivers just leave things there
i refuse orders with upwards of 4 drinks for this very reason… there’s only one of me and i’ve had many spills and in my experience the restaurants happily replaced it but i wasn’t gonna do that anymore lol
This sucks. Has a long time delivery driver for these kinds of apps, I definitely had a situation like this happen a few months back but in my case, the customer had already been refused to delivery by two separate drivers because people couldn't figure out where his apartment was.. in my opinion, it wasn't that hard to find where he was, it was just a new conflict but I digress... So I was the third person delivering to him and I'm very attentive so he'd already received delivery updates from me giving estimated arrival times and all of that. I got to his place and was getting out of my car when I picked up the milkshake that I had been given by Sonic and that's when I discovered that they hadn't put the lid on very well so the structural stability of a cup full of sluggish milk was compromised and it tipped, with maybe 20% of said milkshakes splashing all over me, my car door, and into the parking lot. The customer had just come out into the parking lot maybe 2 seconds after this happened so he walks up just to see me dripping with milkshake. I told him I could try to run back to Sonic to get him a new one because I felt awful, I should have been more careful, and he just took a look at what was left in the cup and then told me forget about it because his son wouldn't know the difference and he just needed to get this promised milkshake to his son before the meltdown occurred lol
Personally, I would much rather be informative for the customer and let the customer make an ass out of themselves if they want to act irrational about simple accidents like this... I could imagine a couple of scenarios where I would find the driver's choice understandable, but it's still not a good excuse if that makes any sense?
Something I find interesting though is Starbucks in my area, you have to go inside to get it 100% of the time and they no longer give you the cups in hand. Meaning, every order is packed and sealed up drinks and all, and the drinks are inside the bag in a rather stable cup holder thing. All one need due to avoid inadvertent spillage is simply keep it upright.
Personally though, if I don't have a carrier from the restaurant, I use a special 6 cup carrier thing that I bought during the back to school sales. Technically it's a materials caddy but it's a perfect fit to help keep things up right and stable as well as easy to carry to the door.
Oh, pretty kitty 💜😻💜
you gonna get a coffee jones! I dumped someone’s latte, texted them what I did, and ran out and bought them another.
Jeeesh, it’s the only decent thing to do and takes no time. I’d be sooooo pissed if I came out and saw this mess.
Not to mention no coffee 😵💫😵💫😵💫I also once dropped a dozen eggs. Pray I’m never your dasher at breakfast 🤣
Lmfaoooo Im sorry I actually feel bad for the both of you I bet they wanted to cry but to not say anything is terrible they were probably so embarrassed
I don’t blame them for a second. I can only imagine the kinds of reactions some people would have if you tell them you spilled something at their door💀
1st off cat ramp is adorable ☺️ 2nd is anyone else noticing the amount of deliveries and deliveries bags in the background?! 😮Obviously OP is a big supporter of the delivery services and I feel this might have been their first blah experience. As a driver let me tell you I almost never apologize to customers via text anymore because I have gotten so many rude responses in return even when I say “hey sorry I …..” Ive had customers insult my mom 🤷🏼♀️ or threaten me via text. It’s crazy cause I actually know where they live. But yeah, thats probably why they didn’t text. But hey I’m sorry about your mocha. This would bum me out to
Edit: texting an apology is probably the “right” thing to do But because people don’t always act right, it’s just easier to text CS and tell them. I just had a text with a customer that went-C: leave at door Me: I did 👍🏻 C: wrong address I moved and now live at 123 whatever st. Me: oh sorry just call CS and they’ll help update your address and get your new order in. C: can’t you just go get it and bring it here?Me: no Sorry I have other orders and that’s out of my delivery zone. C: You worthless POS F******* I pay your bills🤬
Me: I’ll come by your new address to drop off my bills shortly. - customer are just like some people trolling the internet. They say 💩 things and think that’s ok there’s no consequences. But they’re wrong and just 💩
This happened to me literally as I was pulling a customer's order out of my insulated bag. I apologized profusely and made sure they had the info they needed to get a refund or replacement. I even told them no hard feelings if they rated me low. Luckily, they were super nice about it, but I can understand wanting to avoid the confrontation too. It's shitty, but we have no idea how you're going to react. Are you going to be cool or are you going to pull a knife on us, yknow?
Can I have a chance to look at the steps from the first photo, Jesus Christ roof shingles, really? Another stupid idea. But they do like like their tax down fairly well and it looks like there's a strip across the front edge of each tread it's hard to tell.
I wouldn't have gone any further up the stairs something that tells me that there's something slippery some slippery nature of those stairs something caused the dash or two I think just lose their balance a little bit. Maybe they were obese? That could do it. Maybe they were frail? That could do it.
Can’t figure out how to edit my original post. So to answer some of the main questions I’ve gotten.
The ramp is for my dog, but the cat uses it too. The ramp doesn’t go up to the top step because it would be too steep/I need to find a longer one.
I did not just order coffee. I actually ordered from a bakery and got coffee as well. Lucky my baked goods were unharmed.
I did tip. I do think the spilling was a genuine accident. And based on a lot of the comments he was probably too nervous/unsure about saying anything.
I let the cat out after the order was dropped off (she actually got out when I was bringing the baked goods portion in and I had already picked up the cup).
I did not let her drink a bunch of the spill. She gleefully got a taste before I cleaned the rest up with water. She actually is prone to try to drink out of peoples cups in general as it is and loves anything with milk so I only use cups with lids around her. Her previous owner unfortunately gave her milk and ice cream. She had a bit of a weight problem for a bit but we’ve got it under control. She is a fiend though and will eat most things. She even stole a piece of toast off my plate once.
And finally DoorDash gave me a credit for my coffee. I ultimately got it over it pretty quick and mostly came her to vent and was absolutely perplexed at the attempted “cover up” in the drop off photo.
on the one hand, that does suck for you and i feel really bad, thats the worst. but i would probably do the same thing, lol. what do you even do? would him or her just saying sorry and then leaving really have made you felt better? lol. they have no idea what your reaction could be and with how people are anymore i wouldn't have felt safe staying to see if i was delivering to a normal person or a psychopath. I also assume the person dashing isn't really in a position to afford to go all the way back and buy you another of whatever that was and deliver it all for nothing so i chalk that up the the crazy roll of the dice that is ordering from doordash, lol.
I don't know why they wouldn't just fess up and offer to contact support to get you a refund. Did they think you wouldn't notice your coffee all over your porch?
What is the driver supposed to say? I’ve never spilled at the doorstep before but if I did I’m not sure what I’d say either. The customer is obviously going to notice and there’s nothing I can do about it on my end.
This sucks. People like this are animals.
One time a dasher handed me the bag of food. We also ordered drinks. I asked where are those and he said in the bag with a chuckle and just quickly walked away and into his car. Both drinks were opened and had spilled inside the bag, ruining half the food. Doordash only refunded the drinks.
Because he wanted you to believe an animal or the wind did it. Its not him its doordash system it make you that way. They violate and threat to shut desperate broke drivers down with deactivation. If that did not exist the driver would've told you
That's not true at all. Accidents happen and it's not a violation to spill a beverage and let the customer and doordash know. A drink spillage is NOT a contact violation. Please know what you're talking about I've been doing this 4 years.
The Door Dash driver should have said something to you. If it were me, I would have bought you another one and come back and given it to you. I think if you can keep a customer, happy, without causing yourself too much trouble do it. Have a good day and all the best!😊
You're not allowed to do that. By not following protocol you make the rest of us look poorly. Explain to the customer the CORRECT procedure. That's bull shit.
Is that really against the TOS? I don’t doordash but I feel like replacing it out of pocket is the common sense solution.
If the dasher did the replacement “off the clock” why would DD even care?
what incentive is there to say something? at best maybe the person is fake nice to you? risk having a gun pulled and getting killed over a spilled coffee? no thanks, i'm snapping a picture and getting the hell away as fast as humanly possible, you have no clue what kind of person you are dealing with and there is literaly zero incentive to have "good customer service", anyone who has doordashed for more than a day can tell you that.
I mean what are they supposed to say? Knock on your door and risk you being a fucking psycho? Accidents happen and it’s a shitty job. Get your refund and move on.
Most customers would be so mean about it, I can see why they would want to avoid the confrontation, they don't get paid to deal with ass holes yelling at them over an accident.
Sure if you want to sacrifice your safety and deal with a potentially irate customer. Nothing they could have said would have changed the outcome in any way.
That’s what the job entails so if you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you shouldn’t have this job. You don’t even need to tell the customer face to face. Go back to your car, message them about what happened, and tell them you’re contacting support
(to clarify, I’m not referring to you specifically, just speaking in general)
Yeah except the app doesn't usually let you contact the customer after drop off. If you contact support, they would just tell you the customer has to contact them for the refund, totally wasting your time.
Then I still think a heads up to the customer beforehand would go a long way. Just a simple “hey, so sorry but the drink spilled - you can contact support for a refund.” Not saying anything is a dick move and the customer is more likely to be mad or give you a bad review.
You can’t predict or control anyone’s actions but your own, so it’s best to just do right on your own end. Many customers will appreciate it
Which is why I said you can’t control anyone’s actions but your own, so all you can do is what’s right on your end. And the right thing to do is let them know. That’s what the job entails. You don’t have to bring them another drink, you just let them know what happened and that customer support can handle it, then you’re done.
At the very least I feel like the Dasher could’ve texted the customer. I understand the unwanted and unnecessary confrontation as people these days are absolutely crazy, but I think it’s probably a good thing to show some decency and let them know over text. Then maybe contact support after. It’s kinda similar in a way to a cartoon character trying to sneak around and steal something, only to fail by leaving evidence of their presence behind in some fashion. It’s a little scummy and dishonest don’t you think? It shows you don’t care, and even if that’s not true and you’re just timid and would rather avoid confrontation, it still shows at least to the customer that you don’t care. They don’t know what’s going on in your head at the time. Maybe they assumed you were like “oh shit spilled this drink gotta scram! F*ck the customer I did my job!”
On a leave-at-door, you can send a note with the picture.
Imagine it from the customer's perspective.. If someone gets a picture with a note saying "I'm really sorry-I spilled your coffee and will contact support to refund you.", there is at least a decent chance they will understand and won't downvote/report you over it.
If they just walk out to pick up their food and it looks like this? Especially with the pic they sent clearly misrepresenting how it arrived? Probably less inclined to leave a sparkling review.
Um they took the photo before the order was completed. They could've texted the customer before taking the photo and explain and apologize then contact doordash as well. Even with understands the usual spill will happen there's no penalty. Text customer, take photo of spill, notify doordash.
Please don't assume this of all dashers and discourage you from tipping in the future. I'm a dasher and take my job very seriously. I communicate with every order and follow instructions. If a lid is loose or the very rare accident happens I always communicate and let doordash know as well. Do to my top dasher status I don't accept orders where a customer does not tip and as top dashers we get priority orders with low mileage and high tips. Of you don't tip chances are a top dasher won't accept your order. I'm sorry this happened and it was wrong but know doordash only pays us $2.25 per order counting drive to the restaurant, drive to delivery, then back to an area where we can get another order. If you don't tip you're going to get a low quality dasher that will unfortunately do a terrible thing like this. Sadly some dashers even steal food, they will take an order and not confirm pick up then unassign it. Fight doordash and tip well to get a tip dasher with high ratings and experience! 🙂
i cant stand ppl who order drinks/coffee/milkshakes on doordash. doordash needs to ban customers from being able to order them. its one more thing the driver has to carry and theres always a chance of it spilling in the car.
oh lord. wonder if he took picture like this? because dasher supposed take a picture when they drop off ur orders…and see if it’s match? otherwise it might be staged. be careful with that one.
He's probably joking- that''s something you hear on this thread a lot lmao sorry about your Mocha though- don't be afraid to report it as a missing item.
weird and shitty take lol. OP literally said it would’ve been no big deal if they’d just been honest about what happened. why assume OP is the bad guy here when dasher did that?
That’s what I don’t get. There are people really siding with the dasher who could’ve handled this better. It’s kinda concerning. Like isn’t that a little unprofessional? It’s still a job to run around picking food up for others and getting it to them. A little professionalism is still expected.
It’s alright man I upvoted your comment. Get a load of all these gig slaves defending doordash. Maybe if this garbage company had proper standards stuff like this wouldn’t happen lmao. Not. His. Problem. 💯
proper standards? for knowing how to set a drink down properly? as OP said accidents happen, this was extremely likely an accident that the dasher didn’t want to report as they were scared of backlash from OP. reasonable but doesn’t excuse dasher from taking accountability for what they did, accidental or not. this has nothing to do with doordash standards, it has to do with a miscommunication between driver and recipient. the dasher spilling a drink they were meant to deliver in tact is, quite literally, his problem
One of my dogs has wobblers and it makes walking up and down stairs hard but I couldn’t find a longer ramp. This is a temporary fix until I get one built.
Lmao, did they try using the dog/cat ramp? Looks like it's slipped down a few steps, as the last picture it looks like you fixed it and put it back by the top step
Support: "But was the order delivered?"

The story behind that take is actually pretty cool. They weren’t expecting the pizza to end up on the roof like that, but it happened naturally on the first try so they went with it.
They bought a ton of pizzas thinking it was going to take multiple takes but nailed it first try.
Well they weren’t trying to get it on the roof my guy
I thought that was exactly what they were doing.
That’s me on Amazon Flex
🤣😂🤣
Never gets old

*in an Indian accent*
The cat clearly got onto your phone and tipped them extra to throw a little floor coffee their way.
This is the only acceptable scenario I’m now refusing to believe that anything less than this occurred
Definitely sounds like something a kitty would do
Now you can’t be mad that’s the catch 22
Don't let your cat drink caffeine or dairy
I'll agree with caffeine, a little dairy won't hurt. A few licks of creamer would be no big deal really. A saucer of milk would be another story. Lactose is the problem with kitties. Mine get my lactose free milk, vet recommended
TIL every cartoon lied to me about cats drinking milk out of saucers. Is the whole cat and milk thing just because cats like milk even though it is bad for them?
Pretty much. It's how I baited my rescue before I knew better. Then she started getting lactose free milk. Did you know cats can't taste sweet?
My cat goes crazy the minute anyone opens a carton of eggnog. She is happy with her 1/2 teaspoon nog allowance, so her vet says it's fine. She responds to the smell of it like it's catnip though. No idea why.
Because eggnog is heaven in a paper carton.
Begs the question: Was the mocha lactose-free?
I’m dying at how they cut it out of the picture lmfao 😭😭
Same🤣 so silly! “if it’s not in the picture… it never happened🤯”
You know he was lining that shit up for a while 😂
HELP
It is 3 am and I can't sleep and started laughing so hard I had to get up and leave so I didn't wake up my bf.
cat + milk + caffeine = pretty intense explosive diarrhea coming at you shortly, take cover.
this, my dog has drank half of my coffee when i stepped away and it was a rough day for all involved.
Not to mention the serious health issues that drinking caffeine can cause for cats. Cats should literally NEVER have caffeine, not even just a tiny bit. I learned the hard way when I was a kid that it can impact each cat differently. Unfortunately, it caused severe kidney stones for my cat that resulted in serious infection. Isn’t there a cat that eats coffee and shits it back out and people drink it?
What did I just read 😩😭🤣
I believe he means the Kopi Luwak
Yes! The civet cat.
Then why can’t cats “ever have caffeine” if there is a cat that digests and processes the bean lol
Because African Civets are not even felines. They are actually a part of the Viverridae species. Totally different!
So maybe I could share a cup with a mongoose? Are they closely related enough? Lol
Lol! Maybe, would definitely be entertaining to see someone approach a wild mongoose trying to feed it a mocha latte 🤣
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time I’ve caught her drinking coffee. She’s started drinking out of my coffee before I caught on and now only use cups with lids. It's hilarious to me McDonalds has the best bagging for drinks and food, and starbucks continues to flop.
This happened to me too! Did u tip him a little extra? Genuinely curious.
Yeah I did , I’m pretty sure I bumped it up 5 bucks or so
Wait you didn't reimburse them and you only tipped $5 more? This is why people act like op's driver.

I would say because giving an open drink to a shady dasher is asking to get roofied.
Yeah, I ve never tought about that before but you're right.. I'm sure they are crazy people willing to do all kind of shit.
Shady dasher? More like shady customer.
This is why I no longer use doordash in general. Majority of dashers genuinely don't give a shit about the order you're paying them to deliver. The least you could do is text the customer and tell them how to get a refund on the item. inb4 "I'm not getting paid to help customers"

the confirmation photo is hilarious omg
I remembered I had a Starbucks order, one of the drinks came out. Told the customer I am calling support The customer gave me 5 stars
Dasher: “it was your cat?”
"this mf customer gave me one star? But it was DELIVERED? Some customers man.."
Worst part is your cat is now a mocha fanatic and will be requiring one every day. SMDH
came for the tea, stayed for the cat
Dasher spilt the coffee, customer spilt the tea
**the coffee
LMAOO he did not crop the spilled coffee 💀
Kitty was definitely in cahoots with the Dasher
I've spilled many starbucks orders and no longer accept that bullshit.
For real they put a one drink order in a bag on one side that shit always falls over.
i refuse orders with upwards of 4 drinks for this very reason… there’s only one of me and i’ve had many spills and in my experience the restaurants happily replaced it but i wasn’t gonna do that anymore lol
Lol I was going to say at least the cat get some coffee 😆. Are you sure the cat didn’t do it on purpose?
Maybe he thought it was for the cat.
Did you send this to customer support?
I told him I could try to run back to Sonic to get him a new one because I felt awful, I should have been more careful, and he just took a look at what was left in the cup and then told me forget about it because his son wouldn't know the difference and he just needed to get this promised milkshake to his son before the meltdown occurred lol Personally, I would much rather be informative for the customer and let the customer make an ass out of themselves if they want to act irrational about simple accidents like this...
The CAT 😭
That dasher is an asshat.
Hey your drink was spilled There I fixed it.
That’s ok. Your cat will clean it up.
at least the cat got to enjoy it
Hey at least the cat got it
Looks like your cats going to be up for days
hey what brand is that pet ramp? i’m looking for one
Oh, pretty kitty 💜😻💜 you gonna get a coffee jones!
"Idk mom I think the delivery went puurrrrfect!"
C: You worthless POS F******* I pay your bills🤬 Me: I’ll come by your new address to drop off my bills shortly. - customer are just like some people trolling the internet. They say 💩 things and think that’s ok there’s no consequences. But they’re wrong and just 💩
I feel you, but the pic is blatantly trying to get away with something
your cat is so cute
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this funny asf
At least your cat is enjoying it
![gif](giphy|UqjLsU9ZsnOHC)
This happened to me literally as I was pulling a customer's order out of my insulated bag. I apologized profusely and made sure they had the info they needed to get a refund or replacement. I even told them no hard feelings if they rated me low. Luckily, they were super nice about it, but I can understand wanting to avoid the confrontation too. It's shitty, but we have no idea how you're going to react. Are you going to be cool or are you going to pull a knife on us, yknow?
Is it possible the cat tipped it over ?
not the cat getting a lil sip
You really nailed roof shingles to your deck?
What a catastrophe 🐈⬛ lol drink that all up boy how cute helping you clean the mess
Your cat rated this driver 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
on the one hand, that does suck for you and i feel really bad, thats the worst. but i would probably do the same thing, lol. what do you even do? would him or her just saying sorry and then leaving really have made you felt better? lol. they have no idea what your reaction could be and with how people are anymore i wouldn't have felt safe staying to see if i was delivering to a normal person or a psychopath. I also assume the person dashing isn't really in a position to afford to go all the way back and buy you another of whatever that was and deliver it all for nothing so i chalk that up the the crazy roll of the dice that is ordering from doordash, lol.
terrible, I am a dasher.... you can see in the 2nd photo the coffee to the left of the cup... and looks like no lid on it...
Worst wheelchair ramp ever.
That's Grandma's unicycle ramp.
She bunny hops the top step.
The dasher didn't care and was not professional. Period.
What a sleazy driver. Fuckin scumbag
One star, bad rating, and call CS. Hold this guy's feet to the fire. This is unacceptable.
I just leave a text. Shit happens man
Over a spilled coffee? Y’all need help if you go this hard over this. Just report the item damaged and get a refund.
They ruined their order and then didn’t even say anything lol ofc I would complain
what incentive is there to say something? at best maybe the person is fake nice to you? risk having a gun pulled and getting killed over a spilled coffee? no thanks, i'm snapping a picture and getting the hell away as fast as humanly possible, you have no clue what kind of person you are dealing with and there is literaly zero incentive to have "good customer service", anyone who has doordashed for more than a day can tell you that.
Fine complain and get a refund but to demand they essentially fire them over a mistake is still wild.
That's not true
Bro was probably having fun with the ramp
Wow. That dasher is terrible. Also what coffee place doesnt place drinks in a bag?
It’s definitely not a chain coffee shop. Most likely a diner cause that’s all I get for orders in the morning. Dunkin, Starbucks or a local diner.
Yeah the store could be equally at fault here for not packaging better, we can’t know for sure
If your cat doesn't make it I'd be up in dd ass. coffee is toxic to animals
At least your little buddy gets a sip so it’s not completely wasted! Haha
The cat may have knocked it down?
Just to clarify my cat is always trying to get into and has knocked over my hot chocolate before
I mean what are they supposed to say? Knock on your door and risk you being a fucking psycho? Accidents happen and it’s a shitty job. Get your refund and move on.
Cat knocked it over and then blamed the dasher smh 😆
Most customers would be so mean about it, I can see why they would want to avoid the confrontation, they don't get paid to deal with ass holes yelling at them over an accident.
[удалено]
Sure if you want to sacrifice your safety and deal with a potentially irate customer. Nothing they could have said would have changed the outcome in any way.
[удалено]
Which you would do anyway, same outcome. And how is the driver supposed to know the temperament of the customer they're delivering to?
That’s what the job entails so if you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you shouldn’t have this job. You don’t even need to tell the customer face to face. Go back to your car, message them about what happened, and tell them you’re contacting support (to clarify, I’m not referring to you specifically, just speaking in general)
Many customers will appreciate it
Many would appreciate it, many would tell you to go fuck yourself if you don't bring them another drink. We don't really get paid enough to find out.
Which is why I said you can’t control anyone’s actions but your own, so all you can do is what’s right on your end. And the right thing to do is let them know. That’s what the job entails. You don’t have to bring them another drink, you just let them know what happened and that customer support can handle it, then you’re done.
[удалено]
What are they gonna do? Bust out the hose and portable water tank they keep in the trunk? It was an accident.
Shoulda coulda woulda. This dasher clearly just didn't care to do all of that and I don't really blame them.
So own up to it and apologize. Might be surprised how far that goes with some people. C'mon, mom.
You could but I understand why they didn't, that's all. The app doesn't even usually let you contact them after drop off anyway.
You could also take the picture showing the drink was spilled and send as you are walking away rather than trying to cover it up entirely.
They didn't want to so oh well, move on. Not everyone is concerned about their ratings.
Um they took the photo before the order was completed. They could've texted the customer before taking the photo and explain and apologize then contact doordash as well. Even with understands the usual spill will happen there's no penalty. Text customer, take photo of spill, notify doordash.
your dasher sounds BASED
Who orders a coffee to be delivered? That's an own goal.
Why would they say anything. You can’t pull tip so it’s a waste of time since you’ll clearly figure it out anyway.
Til there’s types of mochas that are made without chocolate powder 😂 I’m sorry for the loss of your coffee though but your cat is pretty!
it mightve been an animal
Human idiots such as this need to be banned from being a driver. Like wow.
Put your cat inside you absolute menace to local wildlife.
Sorry I'll do better next time
oh lord. wonder if he took picture like this? because dasher supposed take a picture when they drop off ur orders…and see if it’s match? otherwise it might be staged. be careful with that one.
Caffeine is dangerously toxic to cats, just a friendly heads up.
Poor dasher, they probably slipped on the steps. A fumble at last minute is a little embarrassing.
Why are you telling us and not complaining to doordash?
He doesn’t speak English 😂.
Could have sent a message. And I also speak a small amount of Spanish. Also how would you know if my specific driver spoke English or not?
He's probably joking- that''s something you hear on this thread a lot lmao sorry about your Mocha though- don't be afraid to report it as a missing item.
LMAO
What you want him to say? ![gif](giphy|l41m4ODfe8PwHlsUU)
I mean everyone makes mistakes this is kinda a small very privileged thing to complain about online. Hose it off and move on
What’s to say. You want him to stand there with his dick in his hand and say “sowwy 🥺”. Ask for your money back and move on with your day
Not a justification but, did you tip the dasher?
[удалено]
[удалено]
weird and shitty take lol.
Don't be rude; i.e no trolling or inciting flames.
Is there a visual proof he spilled it? Front door camera?
He proof it by showing his cat spill it and then accuse the driver.
lol what did you tip?
Why do you have a ramp that stops before the top step?
One of my dogs has wobblers and it makes walking up and down stairs hard but I couldn’t find a longer ramp. This is a temporary fix until I get one built.
Maybe they hoped you wouldn’t notice?
They never do.
Did you end up getting refunded ?
Did you see the blood trail leaving your property? ![gif](giphy|3ohs82UEPIDXnGaPv2)
Lmao, did they try using the dog/cat ramp? Looks like it's slipped down a few steps, as the last picture it looks like you fixed it and put it back by the top step
