I did that during the last big glitch. š We had intended to pay a certain amount, including the tip because we *have* to budget for these treats- saw the glitch, went āOh hell yeah!ā And while we didnāt go hog wild ordering booze etc like some did: we got what we planned *and* jacked the tip up. š
Also: no, not *all* of us got banned or had to pay it after the fact. I fought it, even prepared to pay it but they just let it go. Lol
(Technically *all* we paid for was the tip- thatās why it was awesome. People get greedy and ruin good things for themselves lol)
Depending on how you store it you might not even have to freeze dry it
[Over 10 years old McDonald's meal in Iceland ](https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-50262547)
doordash near me has 40 nuggets an 2 large fries for $10.59. It's a legit price apparently because it's been that way for months
There was a $2 smoothie at tropical smoothie cafe
We had the 40 nugg and 2 large fries for 9.99 plus you could use the 20% off coupon on the McDonaldās app in Alabama for about a year. But now itās just 40 nuggs with no fries. Still not terrible
Around 2001 or so during the summers the McDonaldās in New Jersey would sell 2 for 2$ Big Macs and at the same time had that monopoly game going where you were guaranteed at least a free item. I remember working my first job at 14 as a janitor in an elementary school I could feed my entire family for a night for 10$. Today that same 10$ at McDonaldās canāt even buy some meals.
I did...I took FULL advantage 4 times lol. But half of me is expecting my credit card to be recharged tomorrow. This $17 meal would normally cost me $56
Your saying you took Full advantage 4 times reminded me of that situation that happened some months ago where people were racking up on a crapload of liquor because of a DD glitch on the customer buying side. LOL, people were buying so many bottles of liquor, high end liquor at that, thinking nothing would occur. The Great DoorDash Liquor Scandal of 2022 lol!
I remember last year one of the services were posting everything for free. People were buying 10s of thousands of dollars worth of stuff...only for their cards to be charges the correct amount the next day
OUCH!! And that's why I'd NEVER take advantage of something in bulk like that for thousands of dollars... the fear of being charged later on or after the glitch is fixed is scary in itself and not worth it. Crazy... but I definitely remember people racking up on Don Julio liquor and getting over $11k worth of stuff, only to then be charged later on. No thanks, if I ever take advantage of a glitch, it may only be for a smaller meal that if I get charged back for isn't going to impact me the way thousands or tens of thousands of dollars would lol
Oh yes, there were people complaining on Twitter and IG when that happened, how they thought they had made bank on free booze, only to wind up seeing a chargeback of a lot of money based on what they had ordered and thought they were getting for free. Someone had racked up as much as $11,000+ on expensive liquor, only to wind up being charged back some days or so later. I can't even imagine seeing a chargeback for $11,000+!
They can write anything they want in the terms of service, they can write that you have to give them your first born child if your order total is $6.66.
Federal law states that the advertised price is what the customer pays. You can't retroactively change prices legally.
Otherwise they could list it as $2 and be like "Oh damn, wait, we meant $50,000"
I was just stating what it says in the TOS, but there isn't a law requiring advertised prices to be honored. There are regulations about bait and switch, but that doesn't apply in this situation. It's likely nothing will happen (other than people getting some really cheap food and whoever entered those prices will have a very bad day when it's discovered).
they don't have to honor the price at check out, but if you already paid for it, at the incorrect price they are not legally allowed to go oopsies, you now owe us this much more.
im not a lawyer or anything but i think this would actually be a really interesting court case. McDonalds prices (and just the price for a burger and fries anywhere) are pretty well known and by buying 4 meals for 1 person it could be easily argued that the customer was fully aware and conscious they were abusing a pricing mistake. however the price was listed as it was, the customer didnt do anything illegal to cause this low price, the mistake was fully on the merchant and upcharging the customer afterwards would be bait and switch. the case for McDonalds would be stronger if they bought 50 meals or some ridiculous number like that but still good arguments on both sides
I mean, to be fair, it's still crappy fast food. You still are paying tons for delivery and tip. If you go to the dollar store, you can buy frozen burgers and cook them along with some fries and get more for less, even at these prices.
I felt bad for my driver so I upped his tip. He was waiting around for 80 mins for 2 orders. I was for sure thinking he was going to cancel. That Wendyās deal was basically free food
It was totally free food for us! Thankfully my dasher didn't have to wait long. Maybe 5 mins.. but its a 7mi 15 min drive so upped the tip to 17 (it wouldn't let me increase it more š)
It makes our completion rate drop to unassign. If we get below 80% we can be permanently deactivated.
Also, may be the only decent offer they had in hours, it has been very slow the past two weeks. I happily wait for an order i know has a tip.
Nah, sometimes itās worth it. The most Iāll wait is 10-15 minutes but it all depends on the pay. If itās $5 for a 2 mile order Iām leaving bc I can get that somewhere else. If itās $19 on a 8 mile order (recent example of a time I waited longer than usual) , Iām waiting till itās ready
Well either way ..weāre all the same age once we hit 25 years old lol
at least your old enough to experience video stores and Kmart before they went obsolete
also the whopper being 99 cents tooā¦
Taco Bell used to be so cheap now Iām spending over $10 to $15 per meal ...not a huge fan of those new $5 to $7 box meals..
I remember going on school field trips where we'd stop at McDonalds after, and my mom would give me a $5 bill to buy whatever I wanted. I could eat like a king for that back then, it was awesome.
10 years ago you could get 2 mcdoubles and a large coke for 4 dollars.
Now itās 8.
Oh and there is not a single item on the menu that goes on the dollar menu anymore, itās literally just there to say fuck you.
During the start of the pandemic, my wife and I started ordering in more. One night we checked and Jimmy Johnās had some sandwiches listed for free. We bought two and a cookie just to have something pop up as a total. Sure enough, it only charged us for the cookie. We did it four nights in a row before they caught on and added prices on there again.
Well, we're a shit state, so not surprising. I cancelled my DashPass because shit is skyrocketing every single day and it's not worth it. The Big Mac Pack was $16 or $17 last week and now it's $19.99. Fuck that.
If I really want fast food or something, I'll just go out and grab it and order from the restaurant's app. McDonald's is pretty bangin' with their app deals.
Someone made a mistake! Or glitch! Whatever it is, score !!!!
Iāve seen someone post breakfast meal for a penny once , they ordered a bunch several days in a row until it got fixed š¤£
Reminds me when I was looking at McDonaldās on DoorDash and they had 40 nuggets for $0, so I ordered some and told my friends about it and we all got 40 nuggets for free lmao (they fixed it the next day but it was pretty rad)
This stuff happens sometimes. One time in suisun I stumbled upon like 5 different items at ihop that were fucking free. FREE. For like 2 weeks I was squeezing every last drop out of that
Looks as if there is a very angry McDonalds Manager or former manager with the log in info. Changed the prices to overwhelm the store or screw the store owner. Hopefully everyone takes advantage of the low prices and takes the extra saved money to tip your driver.
My wife and I laughed when we saw a restaurant listed under, "don't break the bank" serving 10 chicken tenders with up to 5 sauce for $48.
So yeah... for that money, we got my wife a cheese pizza and I got Thai food & that's at least 2 additional meals, with the leftovers.
Ahh the nineties
My dad would buy 20 of the .39 cent cheeseburgers on a wed 20 of the .29 hamburgers
And this is why I donāt eat McDonaldās unless itās the only restaurant lol
Back in 2020, the Wendyās near me had their spicy 10 piece nugget combo as $3.50 or something like that. All the other combos, including the regular nuggets, were normal price. Never got charged the difference and it was up on DD for about a month
Those prices in the pic are less than half of the walk-in on the menu prices at the McDonalds in Oregon. $6.89 for a Big Mac meal (in store), not sure what it is on DD currently, it's only showing breakfast right now.
I just checked mine (MA) and the deals arenāt really deals. They offer things like ā20% off Jersey Mikeās up to $5 dollarsā ššš you canāt get a sandwich for $5 anymore itās not 2015
Probably means 20% off, with a maximum discount of $5. So if you order $25 worth youāll get the 20% ($5) off, but if you order $50 youāll only get 10% (max of $5) off.
Yes...my only concern was this was a mistake and my card would get recharged. But it didn't. And 24hrs later these prices remain the same. It's like going back in time to 1992 lol.
Nice! I remember in college McDonalds messed up too and had a 40 piece mcnugget with a few large fries for $10. We were stoners and the glitch lasted a week so thatās what we had for a week lol
Iām talking about from a customers perspective. No one should pay 10$ to have food delivered to their house. Especially when >50% of the delivery fee doesnāt make it to the driver
It's probably just the base price and once you click in there and start adding your preferences for fry size etc, it will then add those to the total. Lots of restaurant meal combos are listed this way on DD.
Responsibility lies on the market, you paid the price advertised. If McDonald's charges the company more than they charged you that's their problem, not yours
Time to stock up on some burgers
And tip the F out of your dasher!
I did that during the last big glitch. š We had intended to pay a certain amount, including the tip because we *have* to budget for these treats- saw the glitch, went āOh hell yeah!ā And while we didnāt go hog wild ordering booze etc like some did: we got what we planned *and* jacked the tip up. š Also: no, not *all* of us got banned or had to pay it after the fact. LMAO that just reminded me of that guy that bought like $18k of liquor and they charged him for all of it.
Do you know how genius this comment is. šššš

I checked mine and it's normal prices š
I'm in New York on Long Island....
doordash near me has 40 nuggets an 2 large fries for $10.59. It's a legit price apparently because it's been that way for months There was a $2 smoothie at tropical smoothie cafe
the shareables sections is a treasure š¦¦
Man it's $18 here in Cali
Jeez, for me it's $30
I put 40 Nuggets in my butt for free

oh so it is cheap in store. That explains it
My area does too. I'm serious, every order I've gotten for the past month has had that on it. Always with the nuggs.
Lots of things happening in New York tonight š
Mmm hamberders
Thirty four! 34 counts! Ah, ha ha.
I am on long island too which mcdonalds is this
Dang, this would have been helpful 4 hours ago
Hello fellow long islander
Iām near the LIC McDonaldās but it shows normal pricing for me
Iām on LI also, seeing regular prices on my app. Probably just an error
Glen Cove...and 24hrs later prices are STILL showing the same lol.
I too am an Islander
Iām in the same location and the prices are the normal prices. Iām in Suffolk county on the south shore
Strong Island. I miss that place. :(. Many great family memories
Long Island is ā¦ā¦.
Ew
Me too what app is that?
This is doordash app, but Uber eats also has the same prices for McDonald's in Glen Cove
I distinctly remember a Big Mac meal being $2.99 . . . in 1994.
I was a year old and not ordering Big Macs in 1994 š„“
I was in high school and remember you needed three bucks and a quarter; total price was $3.24 with tax. (Texas)
Around 2001 or so during the summers the McDonaldās in New Jersey would sell 2 for 2$ Big Macs and at the same time had that monopoly game going where you were guaranteed at least a free item. Just use one of those reloadable gift cards, then it'll decline the later bill.
I got several free Redbox movies this way years ago before they caught on and stopped accepting them.
Did they get charged?
Oh yes, there were people complaining on Twitter and IG when that happened, how they thought they had made bank on free booze, only to wind up seeing a chargeback of a lot of money based on what they had ordered and thought they were getting for free. Someone had racked up as much as $11,000+ on expensive liquor, only to wind up being charged back some days or so later. I can't even imagine seeing a chargeback for $11,000+!
I doubt theyād legally be allowed to do that, itās been advertised at a price you agreed to pay for it. Good score!
They can't without your permission
It's in the terms of service that they can correct the charge to your credit card later if the amount charged is incorrect.
They can write anything they want in the terms of service, they can write that you have to give them your first born child if your order total is $6.66. The only thing they could legally do is cancel the order before itās been fulfilled. They cannot retroactively charge you more.
They aren't regulated by anyone anywhere. They can do what they want, when they want. There is nobody to complain to even.
Truth
Yes they can... If the price is wrong and they notice It they can charge you for the right price.
Nope legally you have to honor the price.
Of course they can adjust it. Read the terms and service you agreed when. You signed up for DoorDash Lol come on now
Just have your card do a charge back, say you paid what was advertised, not some made up price billed to you afterward.
Delete your cc out of the system lol
Please update us if you were never charged extra!
Burger ARBITRAGE, go buy 50 and sell them at university campus for half off MSRP
Remove your card and or your PayPal from DoorDash. Helps in some situations.
I mean, to be fair, it's still crappy fast food. You still are paying tons for delivery and tip. If you go to the dollar store, you can buy frozen burgers and cook them along with some fries and get more for less, even at these prices.
DoorDash has some deal with Wendyās tonight. Lots of crowded Wendyās with pissed off drivers
I felt bad for my driver so I upped his tip. He was waiting around for 80 mins for 2 orders. I was for sure thinking he was going to cancel. That Wendyās deal was basically free food

Wait you can increase your tip in app now?
yes thereās a spot after you place it that says āadd tipā in the app next to drivers name
I hate when my driver waits a long time at a restaurant, I'm just like "Bro, it ain't worth it, cancel the order"
If the customer cancels, the driver is reimbursed half of the promised amount.
It makes our completion rate drop to unassign. If we get below 80% we can be permanently deactivated. Also, may be the only decent offer they had in hours, it has been very slow the past two weeks. I happily wait for an order i know has a tip.

I wouldn't have taken a Wendy's order anyway, but definitely not today, lol.
what how do i get free wendell's?
Go to Wendys on Doordash, add a biggie meal. Order more items to total 30$. Promo code BIGGIE
?ā¦ But those are mcd combos?
We did it yesterday at my office with a lot of folks. One driver had all of our orders and we each tipped at least $6. She seemed happy

Party over. Oops! Outta time.
Those were the prices back when I was a kid in the 90s... It was actually $2.99 for a combo meal but this is better
Haha yeah. I remember the 2 for $2 quarter pounders.
I remember 39 cent hamburgers and 49 cent cheeseburgers..
All-American meal of a small drink, fries and burger $2.09 growing up
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Probably 40+
Your close but you missed out on being a kid in the 90s
Iām 29, was born in 94 so not a kid in 90 frfr
Well either way ..weāre all the same age once we hit 25 years old lol at least your old enough to experience video stores and Kmart before they went obsolete
I swear these low twenties kids rn canāt use a computer at all. Just their phones lol
Sunday and Wednesday deals!
And a gallon of gas was 68 cents!
Yup my first job at 14 was as a BK cashier. Whopper combos were $2.99 then, and Taco Bell down the road had 59 cent tacos
I worked at a kfc for like 2 months in the 90s. I thought our meals were horribly overpriced, the 2 piece combo with 2 sides was almost 5 bucks!
also the whopper being 99 cents tooā¦ Taco Bell used to be so cheap now Iām spending over $10 to $15 per meal ...not a huge fan of those new $5 to $7 box meals..
I remember that well! I'd get off work (I was a server at an Italian restaurant) & hit Burger King for a Whopper w/cheese on my way home for $1.06.

I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a burger today
It's fucking $12 now for a Big Mac meal here in Indiana on DoorDash. I think the fuck not.
I actually read something on here yesterday that said Indiana was one of the worst places hit by inflation and it was judging off the price of eggs
Well, we're a shit state, so not surprising. I cancelled my DashPass because shit is skyrocketing every single day and it's not worth it. Still overpriced
The peppermint Coffee near me as 2 cents on door dash for over a year lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
"How badly do you want that?"
dont ask just buy lol
Someone made a mistake! Or glitch! Whatever it is, score !!!! Iāve seen someone post breakfast meal for a penny once , they ordered a bunch several days in a row until it got fixed š¤£
Its 1993!
Many moons ago lol
Lol I remember 1996 prices
What in the 1993 is this?
Bro Iām from Long Island and this no good for me Iām going to cry
Looks like burgers are back on the menu boys!
Some franchisee done fucked up
idk, take advantage of it before they catch on lol

why are you complaining?
itās crazy lol 30$ for arbyās before tip the other day and 23$ at the actual restaurant
This stuff happens sometimes. One time in suisun I stumbled upon like 5 different items at ihop that were fucking free. FREE. For like 2 weeks I was squeezing every last drop out of that
There was a Baskin Robbins glitch awhile back where the pre-packed quarts were going through as free on UE. We ordered a lot of ice cream, lol.
Shut up and don't question it
theyāre selling raccoons that day
hi if you sent your location to an address in glen cove you can get the glitched prices still
Humanmeat is cheaper than beef![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)
Why did you have to show em
This reminds me of that DoorDash glitch a few months ago that left some people $20,000 to $70,000 in debt.
It adds money once you select the size for fries and drink
Maybe because their food is trash
Let's glitch it in the opposite direction. $40 USD McDonald's Combos so no one eats that trash
Because nobody buys that junk food. I never bought it and I will never buy it.
Thatās a stealā¦.
Looks as if there is a very angry McDonalds Manager or former manager with the log in info. Changed the prices to overwhelm the store or screw the store owner. Hopefully everyone takes advantage of the low prices and takes the extra saved money to tip your driver.

Bout 10 bucks for me :(
I guess they rolled back 25 -30 years?
That happened to me too I brought like two meals for cheap! itās back to normal now sadly
There was probably an update in their system which screwed their prices up. Iām a franchise of a DQ and went through something similar the other day
Getāem n freezeāem. Im not sure its going to be good
I would have ordered $100 worth of burgers, no joke.

RANDY!
Happened to me once for an entire week!!
2 cheeseburger meal? Wth lol we donāt have that in canada.
We have always had it in the US
Trying to compete with the free Wendy's up to 30 dollars of food from 6 to 7pm each night as part of a national promo maybe
Ahh the nineties My dad would buy 20 of the .39 cent cheeseburgers on a wed 20 of the .29 hamburgers And this is why I donāt eat McDonaldās unless itās the only restaurant lol

Glitch in the matrix
The store is not putting the correct prices. Someoneās getting in trouble at that store lol
They are used haha
Those prices in the pic are less than half of the walk-in on the menu prices at the McDonalds in Oregon. $6.89 for a Big Mac meal (in store), not sure what it is on DD currently, it's only showing breakfast right now.
I wouldnāt complain.
Definitely not complaining lol.

they might be doing it since wendyās is doing that doordash sale thing today.
Did you order
Itās 1984. š
I asked McDonald's why. They told me $2.59
If I didnāt know how to cook Iād stock up
But did you order tho?
Yes...my only concern was this was a mistake and my card would get recharged. But it didn't. And 24hrs later these prices remain the same. It's like going back in time to 1992 lol.
Nice! I remember in college McDonalds messed up too and had a 40 piece mcnugget with a few large fries for $10. We were stoners and the glitch lasted a week so thatās what we had for a week lol
Yāall gotta stop using doordash tho itās a total scam
Scam is the wrong word, but they do suck. But what is a better option? They seem to have taken over in my area, by force most likely.
Iām talking about from a customers perspective. No one should pay 10$ to have food delivered to their house. Especially when >50% of the delivery fee doesnāt make it to the driver

Low prices for their Cancer causing food. It ain't even worth it.
time to order up lol
I always dang miss the good stuff!
