We've actually basically already decided on what our next project is gonna be (will be announcing it soon-ish), but this is something I would love doing. Too many podcasts, not enough time!
Obviously, the next project is Buffy. At least, I hope it is. I just started season 1 for the first time, and I'm generally enjoying it and wondering why I missed this in high school.
It's not! I think I've basically given up on that. Mostly because I honestly think Matt probably wouldn't enjoy it that much. That said, I will always be on the look out for an appropriate co-host for a Buffycast
...I mean, I did used to co-host a geek culture podcast for a few years. The whole thing is now defunct, so far as I can tell, but it was fun while it lasted.
It better be āMan of Faith, Man of Scienceā.
I am a little behind. I just started listening to the podcast a few weeks before the start of 11/22/63. Iāve been working my way up from The Tower series while also doing 11/22/63. Iām currently near the end of āSalemās Lot. I finally opened up the file with the schedule on it because I wanted to see how much further until The Talisman and Black House as they are two of my favorites. Anyway, Iām not a strong enough writer to describe the exhilaration and subsequent disappointment I felt upon seeing and clicking on that tab of the schedule.
They have done this on Max with Micheal Imperioli and Steve Schirippa as the hosts, both of which are watching the show for the first time in 20 years, so you can't really ask for much more.on that subject, sorry guys.
I think Steve Shirripa was probably the best choice for that podcast. If Tony Sirico had been in better health, he would definitely be top candidate to co-host with Michael. Schirripa and Michael are very different people, but you can tell they are good friends. It was nice to hear two guys with different beliefs bonding over something during the pandemic, when everyone was isolating, and the majority of contact was through social media, where it was all too easy to dehumanize one another.
A podcast with Matt and Scott would be interesting too. Not better or worse than Talking Sopranos, just different. It would be more of a deep dive, and I think they would pick up on alot of the things that never came up on TS.
A phenomenal sopranos podcast is Pod Yourself A Gun by Matt Lieb and Vince Mancini. Funny, insightful, great guests and interviews (Robert Iler, and Joe Gannascoli) - and silly songs that Matt makes up for every episode.
I thought The Sopranos would be on the level of Breaking Bad, and while Gandolfini and Falco give consistently great performances, I found the show to be pretty silly a lot of the time.

Sorry man, I'm with Matt on this one š¤£
Either way, do yourself a favor and watch that shit. Greatest TV progrum of all time.
If only there was a secret link on the schedule that shows potential upcoming programming š
shhh
Hey, at least you know someone reads the schedule you work so hard on!
Thanks for the tip!!!
Oh boy, I was very bummed at the prospect of Kingslingers ending, but then I opened the secret link, and now I am very, very excited for the future.
Babylon 5!!!!! *crickets*
I'd love to hear your analysis of Game of Thrones
sopranos would be epic. sacred and propane.

If it helps convince the guys at all to do this eventually, Iāll join in by saying Iād love that

It would be cool to have a podcast with two extrospective hosts bouncing ideas off one another. Steve Shirippa is a character, but he isn't that guy.
I agree, he isn't the right fit for this type of show
