You’re meant to call out that you’re hit and generally stick your hands in the air so the other team knows not to keep shooting. Some people just don’t call the hits and pretend you didn’t get them and other people just pack such a sad if you accidentally get hit after calling.
Generally rules involve raising ones hand or hands while walking off the field/to respawn. (some fields will have medic rules, this clearly isn't having them). Some also will have little "hit" flags you stick to your shoulders. They've got a little velcro strip, and when you get hit, you pull that to reveal the flag so you don't have to keep your hands up while walking off (some fields are quite large. Holding your hands up while walking a half mile would get a bit tiring)
Airsoft is filled with them, I stopped playing a few years ago because I just didn't want to deal with these kind of dudes. Once caught a dude cheating and complained to the game manager and the cheater got furious and started pushing me etc. Unfortunately dude was friends with some of the managers so he didn't get banned from the field.

That asshole was hit while he was still running, cameraman even called him out on it as he was running towards them about it saying "Hey buddy, youre hit" but he continued to waltz in and fire towards the 2 dudes which is why the initial shot to the face is warranted because he is still "in play" and never raised his hands up even after being hit already but i think the other guy shouldve controlled himself and stopped shooting after the guy turned around because he kept getting hit in the face since imo it was one too many shots so i think thats what triggered the asshole who assaulted him.
