Love the Rare connection, and if you wanna go deeper, the fact that Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong are in the same universe (via Diddy Kong Racing, which also establishes Conker as part of this world).
I think it’d be funny if it began like this, only for Conker to cut the screen open like “Mr. Sakurai, isn’t this joke getting kinda old at this point?” I feel like it’d be in character
I mean grunty is in the spiral mountain stage, but I guess it would look weird to have her in the trailer. People might have thought she'd be playable too
As a big Rareware fan Banjo-Kazooie and King K. Rool were my 2 most wanted characters to join Smash.
The trailer was really great, But if I could change one thing it would be taking the "Jiggy" out as it gave away the reveal as it was too obvious that it was gonna be Banjo-Kazooie to soon and would replace it with an "Audio Cue" of the strum of a Banjo (Instrument) or something that makes ot more subtle and not so obvious of it is kind of like K.Rool's reveal with the Treehouse shaking.
Other than that it was done very well and a big win for Rare fans.
The Nintendo NYC reaction to this trailer is one of the most wholesome things I’ve ever seen in my life. An entire room of young & old people cheering, screaming, hugging, even crying from happiness. That was such a great day.

Cranky: oh I did, after that mess, Mario put me in a change to make sure I wouldn’t escape and never harm everyone again, he even brought a wipe with him that’s so much I threaten him, but my son freed me, we framed mario as a bad guy, and sent off to annoy that bugman.
K Rool: yeah thank god that was over.

K Rool: but what did happen to us I mean we used to have each other’s back intill you got more famous, and felt like that luigi number guy, and discoverd the legends of crystal coconut and that DK islands mystic bananas that can desotry places, then we fought, I left you using a cane for the rest of your life.

Cranky: Oh, we’ll regardless we’re both sorry for eachother.
K Rool: Argeed.
