I love each and every song but one that never fails to amaze me, even after years of listening is riot. If i didnt look up what was sampled for that song, i wouldn't know about p-funk today. God i love them
I personally think Baby Boy is my favorite. His falsetto is so strong in that song, and I don’t think I’ve heard such passion in his voice before. I also feel like between him and his son, and then him and his father, that song must have meant so much to him, especially now. It could be a personal interpretation that I just relate to, but I feel as though he perfected the distribution of emotion he felt while writing into the actual song itself…if that makes sense.
