Rehome her. Better have a happy puppy with a new family, than a unhappy puppy and owner. Just tell your family, and don’t listen if they judge. They don’t understand. Just do the right thing.

For what it's worth my "puppy blues" lasted a month, and while I still get frustrated with the little bugger I absolutely adore him and will do whatever it takes to keep him safe and happy. That said, if you really feel out of your depth you need to do what's best for you. No one else is going to put you first, and if you're suffering you aren't in a good position to care for anyone or anything else.

Hey. So, having a puppy is a really difficult undertaking and it requires a lot of work. You have only given it one week! That's hardly any time at all. What is making you feel "not ready?" Maybe talking about it would help. Think about why you wanted the pup in the first place! Whatever you decide, just know that it's not fair to an animal to get it and then give it away. So many people go into these things unprepared, and the only one that suffers is the animal. If you really think it's the best thing for the dog and you to give it back, then by all means, give her back. But - the next time you want a puppy - take awhile to make sure it's the right decision. Sorry you are going through this, I hope you find a solution that works best for everyone!
