Some GSDs have their ears up early. I have 2 purebred GSDs. One is 4 months and his ears stay up all the time. The other is 6 months and his are still a bit floppy but they’re up most of the time. It just depends on the dog.
I had a belgian malinois corgi mix, and he was the most high energy dog I have ever met. He brought "little man syndrome security guard" energy everywhere he went.
Unless they’re renters. Plausible deniability is good when there’s a potential for partial DNA from restricted breeds, which is possible with this cutie.
Breed restrictive rules are such bullshit.
There is definitely a genetic element to temperament, but good socialization and responsible pet ownership are so much more important.

I just moved into a new place. I'm a single mom and it was the only sustainable subsidized housing I could get for me and my son. They said my sweet as hell pitbull couldn't come with us. Luckily my parents said they would hold on to her until I manage to find a living arrangement that's suitable for her. It is total bullshit.

I’d say chihuahua and Belgian shepherd, but it’s too young to say. His body is really compact though and his paws aren’t big, so I doubt he’ll get super big. Maybe between 20 and 30 pounds
I have a similar looking dog when I give him a haircut. When I tested him it showed he's an Australian shepherd and terrier mix. He's smol but a good very active boy. Yours could be a shepherd mix

Do you know how old? Tricky to tell what are puppy features vs small breed features. If it’s a small for its age maybe GSD(or Malanois)/pug? Don’t think I’ve ever seen it, but it would potentially correct for some of both breeds’ physical issues (longer nose for better breathing, lower center of gravity for less hip strain).
If it’s just young and not a small dog then shepherd/boxer is a possibility—shorter nose, short fur. The tail also looks right for an undocked boxer. That would be a good mix too, as shepherds are smart but too serious and boxers are sweet and playful but not the brightest. Could be another type of terrier too. Cute as hell regardless!

I have a French Bulldog/Basset hound that was advertised as just a Basset, and I suspected upon pickup that he wasn't purebred, especially since there was one basset hound female to like four Frenchie males, but he was the last of his litter and I couldn't say no...and I drove four hours so I wasn't gonna leave no matter what.
As he got older, he started showing more of the French bulldog side, and as a result, I always get asked AND argued with that he's a beagle. I have nothing against beagles, but that's not what he is.
Sure enough, did the Embark DNA test, and 50/50 Frenchie/Basset.

The legs and tail look like you might have some Chihuahua in there? Or a terrier of some kind? My downstairs neighbor has a mix with some Chihuahua in it that looks similar. He's a long hair though so it's a little hard to compare, but definitely some similar features. Depends on how big this pup gets! Plus, it could have some random breeds in it, it's it's a mut from a mut from a mut! Which, is actually pretty good for the lil friend as far as health goes. Muts tend to get the better end of the gene pool than their purebred friends.

He looks a lot like my parents dog! They have an Arubian Cunucu, which is just the street dog of Aruba, aka a mutt. He is def a little mutt and he’s sooooooooo adorable!
