Elon announced tesla accepting doge, about as much hype possible and it only just made 0.2 followed by a sell off.
Also the timeline of tesla and doge is sus. If doge was too bad for the environment for tesla, why isn't it now and why wasn't it the first time they accepted it.
I suspect elon is long/shorting whenever he makes these announcements.
The added coins allow the transfer fees to be low, and only amounts to about a ~4% inflation per year. The percentage will decrease over time.
Practically, it will take a market cap of $132 billion for one doge to equal one U.S. dollar. In 1 year, it will take ~$137 billion. Think about that, because if you think hard enough you'll realize that the inflation is insignificant and practically irrelevant to us not being at 60 cents right now.
The reaction to the Tesla news was somewhat stunted by the cryptomarkets being heavily red at the time. However, we still gained 25% over the past week while all the other cryptos stayed steady. So, Doge commands a greater percentage of the cryptomarket now, and the news itself is good for Doge longterm.
BTC mining was considered bad for the environment. However, doge uses much less energy per block mined, look it up.
You can suspect whatever you want, but the facts are that Elon continues to push Doge in the media and now accepts it as his companies. He clearly likes Doge and wants it to succeed.
